Senada pasic you think pointing out the bad parts make the bad parts happen....wow are you brainwashed. Look up how islam expands...it is exactly like the book demands. you attack people then claim victim till all the laws favor islam above all others. The same day you kill people to push you political ideology you run around screaming victim. if you read the 3 texts you would know why it is a lie. did you miss the part he though he was possessed by demons when it was written? Did you miss the part it says to read the other books and take there word for it over islamic scriptures? How about the part muhammad states he will be in hell till the last day and so will everyone that follows him. Or the fact that over 80% of the texts are about muhammad and 1/3 of the scripture call for terror to spread the idea. It is also very sexist and racist though the entire scriptures. you can tell how bad something is by how hard they try to stop free speech and ideas because their ideas can't stand up to debate.

@Abullah Sameer .. Very courageous of you! Keep strong. I'm also an ex-Muslim and now an atheist. It makes me laugh seeing Muslims convert to another religion. As a Muslim while a teenager, I could see all the holes in other religions and used the Muslim justification that Islam is the 'seal of all the other religions', and used to believe that Islam was the original word of God that had been distorted by other religions. Then I saw all the hypocrisies in Islam and after delving further saw Islam was a knock off of all the vibrant cultures Mohammed stole from as a merchant travelling to all those areas.
Good on you for seeing the light of reason and having faith in the scientific method!

Sadly today we are one of the worst countries in the world for human rights and executions only second to China. Islam has been a cancer for my country. The majority of Iranians know this and want freedom from the shackles of this Islamic mullah dictatorship but it's hard when you are tortured and killed for speaking out against them.

Gerry Grieve Satan rules all the religions...Today's religious people are the Pharisees of Jesus' time. God does not need ceremonies to communicate His love to us. He sent His Son who already fulfilled the Law on the cross and brought His light to this darkened world...God does not profit from our "good deeds" or rituals, He is asking for our hearts! He answers to sincere humble souls, those who are passionate in searching the truth. They will find Him and get His peace and joy, knowing that they are saved and loved forever...

I think it’s the threat of being utterly cut off from the rest of your family. Family is massive in a Muslim’s life. We western people are so much more atomistic and individualistic than Muslims, for us we could survive being cut off from our family but for Muslims they would t just be cut off from their immediate family but extended family and all their friends who are ardent believers. That’s terrifying for most people, especially if they love their family so much.

I'm an ex Muslim from Bangladesh. I'll probably never come out of the closet to my friends or family. But I talk to my parents about some of the evil things of Islam and I don't go to mosque even in Fridays. My friends kind of know I guess because my religious view in my facebook profile is a satire religion and I have argued with them in favor of LGBT rights before. Still my family and friends probably think I'm just a hardcore secularist/socialist and I'll be back to religion as I get older LOL.
It was safe to be an atheist publicly in Bangladesh (not criticizing Islam) until ISIS's jihadists came into the scene. Now no one wants to announce their apostasy publicly.

Prophet Muhammad if he really said that, made lots of contradictory statements. In other words he said jihad was best
The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked, "Which is the best deed?" He said, "To believe in Allah and His Apostle." He was then asked, "Which is the next (in goodness)?" He said, "To participate in Jihad in Allah's Cause." He was then asked, "Which is the next?" He said, "To perform Hajj-Mabrur. " (sunnah.com/bukhari/25/7)

After reading your comments on this thread it seems like you fail to think rationally. You probably never read those violent hateful verses, tafsirs and hadiths . You are not even an apologetic. My experience with being open about my agnostic/atheism in Montreal has pretty much been nothing but pleasant. Some family members are disappointed but our love for one another far outweighs our religious differences. I still get invited to mosques and have to refuse since they can't accept that I'm not Muslim but I don't take any offense from it. Their intentions are pretty much always in the right place. My atheism matters a lot less to me now anyways. Everyone can agree on the golden rule of "do onto others as you would have them do onto you". I welcome religious discussions from an educational perspective but that's more from my inquisitive mindset as I welcome such discussions with Christians and Jewish friends. Most people aren't very religious around me anyways so it's a rare event.
You are definitely accurate about the coming out consequences. I know for a fact that I'm one of the incredibly lucky ones who had almost zero social consequences as a result of being open, if people talk behind my back I honestly don't care since it doesn't affect me personally. I don't like it when people preach about their religion and try to convert, just the same I find it boring more than anything to advertise one's non-belief.
Your video however is very informative and perhaps it will contribute to people feeling more comfortable with apostasy and normalising non-belief.

When one starts to ask questions and be logical, none of the religions hold up. They served a purpose to allow large groups of people to be more cohesive and share beliefs about phenomena that were not understood. Today religion seems more divisive than cohesive, and science is explaining many formerly mysterious things.

Ex Muslim here. Great work. I would say that when I raise questions about Islam, my points are so irrefutable from an Islamic perspective that Muslims tend to go straight into personal attacks: 'What is your agenda? Are you miserable all the time? Do you not want us to live in peace? Why are you asking questions if you have already made up your mind? Did you talk to a scholar?' Also, I find that it is safe for adults to come out as ex Muslims in non Muslim countries but direct family members tend to harm the individual the most, as parents tend to be more extremely intolerant if their children do not believe in Islam

@@dr.josephthomas5488 1: Why can Allah only talk through prophet Muhammad? 2: Why does Islam teach special creation when evolution by natural selection is the process which resulted in all life coming into existence? 3: Why does the Quran say that Adam was created by dirt and had his soul blown into him from Allah when humans are part of the animal kingdom and share a common ancestor with chimpanzees and gorillas? 4: Why does Islam allow polygany but not polyandry? 5: Why are Muslim men allowed to marry Jewish and Christian women but not Hindu or polytheistic women? 6: Why are Muslim women not allowed to marry non Muslim men? 7: Why was Muhammad allowed to have 13 wives whereas his followers could only have 4? 8: Why is it allowed in Islam to marry and have intercourse with pre pubescent girls (Ayesha, Talaq 65:4) 9: Why does Islam allow chopping hands for theft? 10: Why does Islam allow married women to be taken as war booty and made into sex slaves and raped? (Nisa 4:24, Muslim 3432, Bukhari 2229)?

Hi Abdullah, thank you so much for your video. I appreciated everything you had to say about looking into both the evidence for and against Islam. I believe this applies to Christianity as well. I am currently on that journey of examining the evidence as well - though it is serving to strengthen my walk. I have been watching several videos of debates between Christian and Muslim scholars such as Nabeel Querishi and Shabir Ally, the late atheist Christopher Hitchens and William Lane Craig etc, I am wary of any religion that punishes people when they ask questions. So thank you for challenging us to think. I understand you have made your decision to be an atheist but I do hope that you will also consider the testimonies of Atheists who are now christian as part of your search for truth, there are many on YT.
Regarding threats from the Muslim community - I can sympathize as I grew up in Nigeria - a country that is pretty much split 50/50 between Muslims in the north and Christians in the south. Growing up as a little girl it was very common to hear about churches being burnt up north and muslim converts to Christianity fleeing for their lives. Again, I know you are an atheist but I hope you don't mind me saying that I will pray for God's protection over you, your wife and your family.
Thank you for being bold and speaking out.

I AM AN EX MUSLIM AND UNLIKE YOU, I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN THE MIDDLE EAST, CAME TO CANADA 20 YEARS AGO AT THE AGE OF 17, AND I STUDIED ISLAM INSIDE AND OUT I FINISHED HIGHSCHOOL IN EGYPT AND I HAD 90% of the kuran MEMOrized by the age of 14 but I had issues because I kept finding facts which were wrong hisotorically, geographically, astronomically and biologically Whenever I questioned the imam, he forbid me from questioning and said that this was satan putting doubts in my mind. Asking him why the kuran says that when the sun sets it goes into a bowl of merky water was the final straw that got me kicked out of madras sat alone tahfeeth wal tarteel. I left Islam early on in life and after studying the bible inside and out, from Genesis to revelations, I prayed for god to reveal himself to me and god did reveal himself. I saw the lord Jesus Christ and he revealed to me that the bible is the true word of god, that he is the god of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and that he is the word of god which became flesh. I saw the nail marks on his hands and feet as well and so, I knew that he was crucified Since then I saw the rapture of the church, and I saw things which are to come during the tribulation as well If you want to know the truth, just ask the lord god to reveal the truth to you and I guarantee you that the lord will appear to you in a vision, a dream or a revelation...

Allah says in Quran “ As for the one who turns away from My message, verily for him is a life narrowed down, and We shall raise him blind on the Day of Judgment. (124) He will say, “O My Lord, why did you raise me blind while I had sight ( before ) ?” (125) . He ( Allah ) will say “In the similar manner as Our signs came to you, and you had ignored them. In the same way you will be ignored today.” (126) Thus We recompense him who exceeds the limits and does not believe in the signs of his Lord. Certainly the punishment of the Hereafter is more severe and more lasting. Surely, in this there are signs for the men of reason. (128)

Welcome in secular world Abdullah . You seem to be peaceful . This is a sign you have left islam. Muslims who left Islam are always more calm , relax and open to others. Find yourself a group support , if you need . There are ex-muslims community in every major city in North America. On the net , there is MASKED ARAB , there is INTROVERTED SMILE and many others. I widh you good luck and the best of success in life. The secret of success for all man or woman , of happiness is this : find what pleased you in the world , this is where is your talent . We are naturaly attracted by what we like , by what we have talent for . Then , second step : study or practice this interest so special to you . Then , when you are good at it : make a living by it . You might be so good doing it that many peoples will like to pay you to do it at their place. One day , you will see you will have been done such a thing - cooking bread, medecine , painting walls, drive a truck or a bus - for years and you will not believe itis time to retired . Life will have gone by without you notice it . That is real happiness.
A man existed who maybe was called Muhammad . He was a great lord warrior . Maybe rather a raider. And maybe not so great either because he didn,t tell much about all the raids he had to come back from without the slightest gain . Then, he had followers who took his place at his death and invented a person that never existed in real life. According to Islam , Muhammad had 69 wives in his life, he maried a 6 years old girl, he had sex with men, he french kissed his nephews , he cross-dressed etc... One man can not have all these perversions . Pedophiles don,t marry 69 wives. They have one to cover their activities and that's all. But caliphs can have been or pedophile or have many wives or kiss they nephew on the lips with the tongue in the trhroat and they gave these behaviors to Muhammad so they couldf continue it for themselves but , not one man can be all this at the same time . So that is why we can say that the Muhammad of the books was as real as Robin Hood , James Bond or Santa Claus or King Arthur but it is hard to prove . That is why there are no archeological searches in S. Arabia. They would not like what they would found . Abraham , a jew , it is impossible he went to Arabia to build a pagan temple . Every day , one find something that show that Islam was an invented religion. The Cairo Qur'an has 3 layers of ink . A pale blue , a dark blue and a black on top. Each text is different so the last one is not the text of god , nor the second. The first one is different from old copies recently found in Sanaa . So , first layer is not right either. Islam was build by men . Well build to be enough coercitiv but man build , caliphs build. Not god!!!

Life open its doors in front of you .Maybe you are not used to so much liberty .Dare actions but be cautious too. There are many sharks outside whatever their religion are. Here is a clue to find your real friends from false friends. I use it .
Real friends rejoice with you every time a nice thing happen to you. Real friends are sorry with you every time bad things happened to you , even the slightest.
False friends , it's easy . They do the exact opposite. When a good think happen to you , you can see on their faces they don't rejoice too much . When a bad thing happens, you can see a small smile on their face. There are happy that finally you had a bad shut . Your happiness was too much for them. Watch that and you will seein advance the one who want to stab you in the back.

All power to you Abdullah! Welcome to reality! You are a true hero & a very brave man. Islam is full of violence just need to read the Medinan verses of the Quran. I was a convert to Islam & I saw the truth after reading & researching. Asking questions and praying. So now I have returned to my own religion of Christianity. I’m so happy now & I know I have found the truth. I pray you will find Jesus and enjoy his promises to a true salvation which Allah cannot promise. He only can help you carry your burdens & bring you to paradise which you deserve! It’s really frightening how the west has capitulated to the Islamic onslaught of our once proud Christian heartlands. We fought to resist Islam up to the 1500s but that was for nothing as we are cowtowing to what Muslim demands. Bravo to you and you have a real home with all of us! God bless you Abdullah! Here in Canada, according to section 2 of our Charter of Rights and Freedoms (which is Canadian law), every individual has the right to freedom of belief, freedom of conscience, freedom of expression, etc., and that all means that you can choose not to exercise those options as well (otherwise it's not freedom). So, in Canada, it's entirely your right to leave any religion just as much as it is to join any religion -- you get to choose that for yourself 100%.
Also according to section 15 of our Charter of Rights and Freedoms it is illegal to discriminate against anyone based on various characteristics, including race, sex, religion, etc. So anyone who threatens you for leaving any religion (including Islam) is violating sections 2 and 15 (and some other sections too) of our supreme laws that are designed to provide equal protection to everyone -- our Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Thinking for yourself is wonderful, and every individual is entitled to it as a matter of it being a natural state of consciousness that is protected by supreme national law.

If we're completely honest with ourselves and seek the Knowledge as you so eloquently put it I believe at some point a veil is lifted and We realize that in The End. what matters most.. is knowing there is another Journey we all must take. Good and Evil is within all of us. There most certainly is a Divine Creator. The Universe is perfect in every way. I believe that Judging one another based on Faith is not only Wrong but, closes a door so many of us need to open. Our soul tells us that we don't belong here. Even Atheist know deep down (like it or not) there are unseen forces that call them to question the possibility of a Superior Intelligence in the Universe. Whether they choose to admit it is another story. I know without question we are at a Crossroads of an Awakening that Most of us can scarcely fathom is upon us. I see it everyday. In closing what matters most is To Love and Cherish each other. To help one another achieve a Higher Purpose. I commend you Sir for having the Courage to Question your Faith, Religion. I would absolutely love to privately chat with you someday. I can't imagine the conflict within your very essence that you must have felt. I'm quite certain it felt like a part of your soul was extinguished. May God and All the Angels of Heaven watch over you and Best of Luck in your most excellent search for Discovering Who we are as individuals, Who we are as Human Beings? What we're doing here? Take Care and "Peace Be The Journey"

Leave Hinduism and Hindus wouldn't even care, because having a different opinion doesn't harm anyone. That's the beauty of Hinduism, no concept of conversion.

Hi Abdullah! Massive kudos (Masha'Allah even lol) for your bravery to speak out, conviction to critical learning and palpably honest introspection of how you feel about the veracity of Islam's validity as a divinely inspired religion. I myself am a cowardly closeted atheist at the advanced age of 40+ also living in a large multicultural Canadian city, but without the mental fortitude and frankly 'cajones' to go public with my views; as much as the hypocrisy of it murders my psyche every day, there's just too much at stake with far reaching consequences by me coming out. THANK YOU for giving a voice to folks like me who are trapped in the clutches of this perturbation (amongst many) currently plaguing humanity.

There are people with means who will pay to have you killed. This is unfortunate, but true. My advice is to leave Islam if you must and do not discuss it. I left the Baptist church with no fear of reprisal for such. Muslim cannot leave Islam safely if they discuss it openly.

You are willing to become a mortar for free thought? As with any warrior brother I advise you to consider your wife and choose your battles wisely. I have risked my life for mankind as a career . I am old now. My fervor for battle is not what it once was. Your heart is pure as your actions manifest. A young warrior must have his say. Just be careful.

I'd be packing a gun 24/7 if I were you, though I do that already anyway. All it's going to take is one socially outcast loser who thinks they are going to become a famous marytr.

I left Islam for so many reasons, the least being similarities in the stories with the Old Testament Bible.
Nothing comes across in the Quran as a divine revelation, other than renditions of a strongly Patriarchal Society and retold fables.

      @@hitmanx3475 Brother.
But why will the almighty Allah send down a message in a way that this important message will be misinterpreted and corrupted years after? Or didn't Allah know beforehand that his message was going to be corrupted? And he had to purify it once more?
You're describing a very limited God to me.

If people don't come out, the cycle continues. This is why Islam has lasted this long, pure fear.
