Here in California we have a stand your ground law so what I heard about this couple that being attacked by man’s ex wife and some goons that came with her but they didn’t get charged is ridiculous and hard to believe that the couple that brandished a firearm but didn’t fire a shot are charged is also literally ridiculous as well.

The guy that said no matter what they were gona get arrested isn’t educated , he said they “used” the fire arm …which they did not , they were just armed , they didn’t use it .
Even just presenting a firearm can be considered using it.
And there is also a difference of retrieving and presenting a firearm… I was a little distracted during the interview , but I don’t remember them ever saying they pointed or even brandished the firearm…alls I herd was them just retrieving it from a safe.
USCCA critical response team were so helpful and supportive, the team called me and stood on the phone with me and listened to me cry and try to explain everything to her, so patient and comforting that I was able to calm down and I 100% felt safe with the team behind me, most importantly knowing I was dealing with the thought of knowing that he had not been caught yet 😢 I am so thankful for USCCA support. I’m sure eventually I will have to go to court and they will be there for me when that day comes.

Yet ANOTHER reason why I would NEVER even VISIT California, let alone LIVE there.
I recently attended an NRA home protection self-defense class, and the one thing they said is you need to have insurance - you need to protect yourself! Somebody breaks into your home to cause you bodily harm or death and you fight back they are their family will try to sue you for harming them. It’s real people.
It's disgusting and needs to not be allowed. If you are trying to harm someone else you forfeit yours and your families rights for any retaliation.

Laws that pertain to the restricting of or enhancing of our Constitutionally protected rights are supposed to be the same throughout all the states why they are NOT is unconditional and illegal and everytime someone is prosecuted for exercising a RIGHT that prosecutor and everyone involved is in violation of title 18-242 deprivation of rights under color of law.

USCCA, what is the criteria for which you won’t cover for self defense? We will always be charged for something, until all the facts come out no one knows who’s at fault or if we did something illegal.
Simply being charged after a self defense incident is NOT something that prevents coverage - that is actually a very common misconception spread online.
There are listed exclusions within the policy that detail circumstances where coverage would not be provided.
For example, there is a federal law exclusion. That exclusion means if you act in self defense using a weapon you are prohibited from possessing based on federal law, that act would not trigger the policy since it is excluded.

That's not true at all, what guy are you referring to? Also expenses are paid as they are incurred. You'll notice in this interview that they said they contacted the USCCA after they were released. That is why they were reimbursed, because they had already paid that before they contacted the USCCA.

What were they supposed to do, let them beat them to death? How was he supposed to fight off two people or even one person? I don’t want to engage in hand to hand combat with anyone, one on one or not. When you confront someone with violence you should expect anything to happen, even if it’s getting a weapon pointed or used on you. If this was about custody exchange why didn’t the mom call the cops to report the custody issue and be there for the exchange of the kids? Why did she bring a bunch of goons with her? How was that supposed to help?

Move to Florida where you have the right to protect yourself inside your home and we have law and order where the criminals are arrested!
Unfortunately, this highlights how having a gun in the home should be your last layer of security/protection. Reinforced door (and door frames), bars on the windows that can be quickly removed only from the inside. Video surveillance with clearly visible outdoor cameras that also record everything they see. Home security system with signs posted outside (an actual home security system). Heck, even if you live in an apartment, some of these layers of security options can still be used. Might not stop an attacker, but clearly slow them down long enough for the police to arrive.
I understand what you’re saying about security, I agree. But in this situation, I don’t think it would have made a difference since the Ex came over and they all went Outside to talk. It happened on the front lawn. I would have felt absolutely helpless especially seeing my Elderly Mom on the ground by my Fiancé’s Ex! Not Good Situation! The fact that they were able to Do That (assault an elderly woman) and Not get Arrested Too is Outrageous! Besides, These Police didn’t look into the whole thing, if they did then they’d see the Plane Tickets, Wedding Plans with Kids involved. Just Bad Police Work! They should be Ashamed!
