Took one on a test ride today when I returned the cover was missing. Or maybe it was not there to start. I think I would have noticed. Either way the dealer did replace it before I signed on the dotted line. I am going to check that it is secure now that I see want can happen. Thank you sir!
Good stuff as always Max with your video's. I actually used some high quality black tape very small strip and stuck it onto my cover is 2 places. Over 11K on my bike now and still on but I will push where you showed and listen for the snap. Some things on this bike it makes me wonder if Honda just didn't throw shit against the wall and see if it stuck. One thing about it, it will give the dealerships work for years because this bike is a total nightmare for most people to work on. I mean how much harder can it get to install the XM antenna correctly up front which BTW should have been there out of the crate. Come on Honda you have became the new BMW for service nightmares.
The XM antenna is a shameful thing they left off. That and the buttons in the console for Homelink and Fog Lights... the switches are already in the console, and you have to pay an installer to take the console off the bike and disassemble it, just to change the dead cap to a moving cap over the switch!
Useful info. The dealer hadn't fully engaged my key cover, and it dang near fell off. The camera work on this video was kinda sloppy. Something blocking the bottom of the frame was annoying to see.
My battery went dead and I tried using the key. The LEFT BAG WOULD NOT OPEN! I assumed it being an electric lock and the battery dead was why it did not work. I called the HONDA DEALER and they could not figure it out either.
The left saddlebag lids are defective on some bikes. They are deformed and they don't open unless you pull on them. I have posted a couple of videos on this topic. I have heard Honda is denying warranty claims.
Believe me, I pulled on the door as I turned the key. This is not my first wing. Been riding them since 1977. Have over 500k and have always done my own repairs.
you know these bikes so well that you look like the one who built them !! Great and good job...thank you Max
Thanks, we'll have a new gadget to make using the access cap easier soon.
I’ve learned so much from your vids, thanks.

Max McAllister & Traxxion Dynamics I am going to locate a hole precisely where the key inserts.
Excellent video, thanks!

Good information. Hope you get the camera fixed so we don't have the black at the bottom.
It was a zip tie in the way... I use a zip tie to hold a microphone receiver onto my cell phone! High dollar production studio!
Thanks !

There was a zip tie in the way unfortunately. But hey, the price you pay for these videos is great!
