I don‘t know if this is interesting for you, but somewhere in the Rhineland there‘s a Korean-roots famous chef called Sarah Henke (not very Korean name any more), who was found in the middle of Seoul as a baby and the adopted by a German couple. She did this tour back to Korea, too, and she wrote a book about it (and she also integrated the culinary experiences into her cooking). But I fear the book is only available in German, neither in English nor in Korean (ruclips.net/video/NA9jxR7pbI4/видео.html ). I wish you a lot of positive experiences in Korea.

I made this today and it was great! So many different flavors. I really like the green onion salad. I didn't want to throw away the rest of the dressing, so I put in the remaining chilies and garlic and added sliced radishes to eat later.
Wonderful! I usually stir fry the leftover green onion salad, chopped kimchi, and rice and eat. The stir-fried rice is very delicious. You can add a little gochujang and extra toasted sesame oil, too!

I live in Manhattan near an H-Mart (Korean/Asian market chain) and you're helping me survive the lockdown. So I have access not only to the ingredients but the proper cookware! SOOOOO much cheaper than eating out! My grandmother was Chinese and a great cook. Maybe I will be able to remake her old recipes. My one change is to avoid adding sugar.

I went to South Korea twice in 2019 last time was in December. This was the first thing I ate when I landed in South Korea 🤤🙌🏽 I prefer beef bbq over pork bbq imo. The spring onion salad is amaZing! The sesame leaf is amazing also! I think it’s pickled onions with soy sauce? Whatever it was it was amazing also!
Today I awoke from a nap in front of my computer dreaming about when my mom was still around cooking tasty classic Korean dishes...and then I go YT, this is the video that pops up on my screen.
