@@MPTrailGroup Hey!...there's probably some snow up there now!... lets go.... I have 4x and now person with Wrangler who wants to go.... let's caravan....you guys up?
I did this trail with my jeep from my house in Apple Valley. There was deep snow and when I was about 3/4 of the way to Big Bear, I got stuck in a very bad spot and ended up burning out my clutch trying to get out. Had to hike many hours in the snow with my dogs to get into big bear. it was a disaster... Cost me tons of money to get it pulled out and fixed. the towing also fucked my jeep up really bad. don't underestimate this trail when there is snow because it gets scary in some areas. I still love it out there and ill do it again soon.
@elevated organic Oh man, sorry to hear that. We did encounter a bunch of snow prior to this trip too and we had to turn around. Glad to hear you guys made it out okay. Thank you for sharing your experience. Hopefully people that watch this video can learn a thing or two. These easy trails can get very difficult when snow and rain is involved. Highly recommend traveling with other rigs and some recovery gears. Again, glad you made it out okay. Keep exploring!!🤙🏽🤙🏽
I would love to come do a day trip with you guys. I’m in lake Elsinore. I have a 01 F250 v10 4x4 I recently just got and want to take my kids exploring. It’s bin a wile since Iv bin able too. Please let me know when your next trip is
@@MPTrailGroup Was this trip / video from a trip in March ...or was it Feb....trying to gauge when there's just a little snow for scenery without possibly getting stuck with stockish tires....
@@MPTrailGroup great! We just got a wk2 and haven’t decided on tires yet so we’re looking around for easier trails to hit. We’ve gone up to Thomas mountain and we did the bee canyon/pine cove road trail as well. I just like to be prepared before heading up aha Thank you for responding!
Been taking this trail for over 30 years. God Bless Wilber!
Thank you Sir!!same to you as well 👍🏽@Celtic Warlord . Truly is a blessing. This place is awesome!!

@@barrya.6212 i am now just seeing this comment for some reason. Yessir this was in March of last year.
Badass about how long does it take to complete the trail and is 4x4 mandatory?
With recent rain or snow, 4x4 is highly recommended. On the summer time, decent clearance 2wd will do. 👍🏽
@@MPTrailGroup Thanks brotha I really appreciate it, Im going to give it a shot this weekend on my prerunner 🤙🏽
You’re welcome bro. Have fun, its an awesome trail!!
How many miles is it from apple valley to big bear on this trail ?
@TylerDylan21 i think about 20 miles.
@@MPTrailGroup thx. That’s not bad at all
You think it’s possible for street tires to make this ride?
Yea man absolutely. This trail is easy if there’s no snow.
