  • A reading and conversation with Romanian author Mircea Cartarescu and a celebration of the publication by Archipelago Books of the first volume of Blinding, one of the most widely heralded literary sensations in contemporary Romania, and a bestseller from the day of its release. The discussion was moderated by Delia Ungureanu, Assistant Professor at the University of Bucharest and Visiting Lecturer in Harvard's Department of Comparative Literature. This event took place as part of our "European Voices" series -- an ongoing series of conversations with artists and writers, activists and intellectuals exploring questions at the intersection of politics and culture. Co-sponsored by the Center for the Study of Europe and literary journal AGNI.

It’s so funny because when you see him he’s indistinguishable from like any other Deliveroo driver but he’s got so much substance 😂😂😂
