Same boat but me and my friend drove down from Canada! We were bummed to miss the 3 night thing but so glad this was still selling. Glowing after the show we saw that the following shows were already cancelled .The Boognish deals out some weird kinda luck. The band all appeared not just healthy but vibrant, so here's to a speedy recovery or whatever they need(i'm not up on the details)
This could be the last show from them ever after todays announcement, 8/29/24. Drifter in the Dark being the last song they play. Goodbye Ween. You’re eternal in our hearts.
@@TheJolsapparently Dean/ Mickey struggles on tour with mental health. they didn't get into the specifics, but you can imagine either depression or anxiety or substance abuse or something.
Saw this live last week in Spokane. Drove down in my friend's groovy van for my first Ween show since becoming a huge fan as a teenager, moving to Vancouver where I kicked myself for not seeing what got called their disastrous final show in 2011 there, rediscovering my love for them a few years ago thanks solely to youtube autoplaying me Deaner's blistering solo on Chicago 2005 Johnny on the Spot, tattooing the Boognish on myself and getting super heavy into The Pod during covid lockdown, deciphering and deducing that a greazy mega weedge is a pizza slice, my buggy is my buddy, and meditating on the brown magic witchcraft the Boognish bestows the Brothers Brown.
Just got into Ween this year, caught this show and had a great time! Dean's big ol grin for the whole set really added to the vibe, hahaha. "Your Party" was probably my favorite first-time-listen on the set list, such a clean pretty song with lyrics that are like, subtley hilarious
I passed on going to this show as I didn’t want to travel across the state to see em, and got tix for the Seattle show instead.. Which they just canceled!! Arrgh!!!
Didn't find out my Seattle show was canceled 'til I reached the doors of Paramount Theatre. Twas to be my first Ween show. I'm not sure if watching this is cathartic or torture. The security guy working the door looked ready to offer me a tissue based on my expression. I thought there was no way they'd play Your Party, which apparently, they did.
what a great show, amazing set list. hope the boys are staying healthy. maybe they just have to sell a few super arenas a year. little less work and more pay. we will travel
I bet all members of Ween are around 60 years old. 26 years as a band. The road is a rough life and they deserve a break until they feel like playing out again. I don’t think this is the end of Ween. They are over 300 years old combined.
I saw ween in St. Louis in 2023. This was after listening to them my whole life and loving them. I’m 44 now. I want to see them every time they are with 1000 miles. More importantly I want them to be healthy and happy. Get well and let me see you again. Love you weeners.
@@conjandysecurity Following everything a band does or keeping up with all the tours/dates doesn't mean you're not a huge fan. What a silly statement to make. No, YOU.
I don't think so... they've tried to quit before. Gene died and was resurrected after he made the beautiful Freeman album. I believe the Boognish still has work that shall be done
@@kfrerix9777 no, they just don’t have it anymore. Haven’t been tight since 2019. It’s all blown out songs with too long of guitar solos. And the new waves of fans are insuffferable
