I would say Meridia is allowed, as her sword is of light, and she tells you that you will become her weapon of cleansing light, she too hates the undead, so she's more Aedra than Daedra IMHO
Huh, light armor and a two handed weapon? I like that idea. Up until now, on my two handed character, I've been focusing on heavy armor so that I could take more hits when swinging my weapon. That actually makes a lot of sense, as I'll be able to avoid enemy strikes, and save stamina for charged attacks. I might not use to handed weapons on this build, but I might convert to it on another. Thank you, you've helped me on multiple characters now. I'm very eager to see more videos from you.
This video was both informative and inspiring:detailed information on the class, and inspiration for making similliar videos by using role play aspects by actualy making the viewer think that the(in your case, and my case)Nord is actualy speaking, not the person whos infront of the monitor(or the TV if youre playing PS3 or XBOX360). I SALUTE YOU!
I generally try to suggest an armor for your specific character combat style. For instance, if you are planning on having a 2H weapon, I would suggest to put on light armor (more stamina, very cheap on perks). If you take 1H + Shield, then Heavy Armor is your best friend. There is no definite answer which armor you should use in each specific case, but the key is this: Understanding Your needs and what can be done to augment and strengthen your class.
Yay, amazing! Thank you for advertising a bigger RUclipsr on my channel, how could I possibly live without it. Oh, and he probably won't be able to either, right? :)
Yes there will be like. We can consider Dawnguard faction as hunters for the undead, vampires and werewolfs, thus they are doing exactly what paladins would do :) Thank you so very much, you flatter me beyond measure!
Technically, he isn't interested in either side winning/losing. However, if it is somehow interfering with a success of his mission, he can take one or the other side. The reason I've progressed there is because this was my character I was playing with. I didn't specifically start out a new game just to make a Pala class.
Got a class idea for you: Daedric Awakening. You level up to 100 in mostly warrior, and accept all Daedric quests and items. Your aim is to destroy, mostly, to become one of the Daedra. You foster respect among them all, kill whoever stands before you, and make all of Skyrim fear you.
Hey! We are not actually hating on Daedra. I never said don't do Daedric quests, what I said is if you want to be hardcore Paladin RolePlayer then you may not cooperate with Daedra. As about Stormcloaks, what you said is not everything. They don't have to be polite with you, just like Empire wasn't when they tried to chop your head off and Ulfric did what is TRADITIONALLY allowed (challenged High King) and killed him. So... Else you're trolling, else you are a bit lost.
For my paladin I use a sword and board, Dawnbreaker to be specific... (Although I do have a Skyforge sword that I use against regular opponents) with Auriel's bow + Auriel's Shield, with supportive restoration magic to augment my melee abilities. Helm: Aetherial Crown (Antronach + Lord blessings) Chest: Dawnguard heavy armor Gloves: Steel plate Boots: Steel plate Primary attributes into block, one handed, restoration, heavy armor, smithing and enchanting, with secondary attributes going into archery, speech and Alteration. With my paladin being an Imperial, I am here to help the empire, however I always make sure to give any Stormcloak a burial worthy of any Nord (Ulfric, may you find peace in Sorvngarde, you fought valiantly, worthy of any nord). My real quarrel lies with the hoards of undead, vampires (Serana is the only exception), werewolves and other such things that stalk the inhabitants of Skyrim, and while I always strive to help everyone, I never break the law on purpose and I definitely do not murder in cold blood (Sorry, Aventus... Grelod the Kind will have to live on)
Classical best is Nord, Dunmer or Breton. Their resistances will make them viable throughout the game, from start and until the very end. However, you should consider taking the race that you aesthetically prefer.
Well, I really cannot answer, as there are two possibilities: 1. Azura really lost connection to her star, thus you've directly attacked Azura and won. Good outcome. 2. Azura allowed this to happen, because it is a part of another plan of her. This is another possibility, she's still a winner :) Problem is, we really don't know if she expected this to happen or not, because Azura is not famous for being short-sighted or stupid. -End of Strategy on World Dominance Discussion-
It's not just a trinket. It's a lifeline when the darkness becomes too much to bare. It's a symbol to embolden the frightened masses that you're there to protect them, and a warning to the skittering evil that their twilight approaches. It's the greatest sign that Stendarr's light is always upon you, guiding you to victory. ... Plus, more shield rating! :D
I like how you planned it and broke down how you are going to play. Just don't forget that Paladin is the warrior of light, not a servant of a political faction. Paladin that uses Daedra to do something is not a Paladin anymore, you are straying further and further away from the light... I like the twisted feel of it :)
I'm sorry for the confusion. I was implying that it would not seem right in my eyes to be a vamp or werewolf and at the same time focus on crossbow. Whereas, if I join Vamp Hunters, I will be able to easily focus on my fighting skills and not to bother very much about being vampire and all that fun jazz.
What I said :) Of course, only if you are a hardcore RP. This is because be it what it may be Dawnbreaker still comes down as a reward/gift from Daedra and no matter how good some of them seem they are still Daedra, If you intend to play a hardcore Paladin, there may be NO cooperation with Daedra Princes.
Could I suggest you leave a quick blurb in the notes section about what perks and skills you prefer for your classes? I know you go over them in the video but a quick reference would be great. Thanks again!
This also ties in to witchhunters whose purpose is also to root out and destroy the practices of dark cults and profane sorcery. A vigilant of Stendaar named Tyranus is considered one and is found near Markarth.
@FlexiWeapon Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, it was a font mod on Skyrim Nexus... Can't remember the name though... Pretty sure it had word "font" in its name.
it boils down to taste, you know. Some people like to have a Role Playing set up for them to guide them through the game, often enough because they've already finished the game and want to try out something new. Of course if you don't like some specific Role Playing build, it doesn't matter, because Skyrim initially was not meant for any of these.
You are offered an opportunity to agree to do Daedric binding, not that you are doing it by default. In many quests in the game, regardless of what you do you are FORCED to execute their will. In short: Fighting Daedra is allowed.
2Handed weaponry is objectively weaker than 1Handed + Shield and that just proves that you are a better player :) It requires more skill and dedication to become a specialist with 2Handed so, you have my personal seal of approval.
If you want to go for Hardcore Paladin, no you may not do this quest. Generally, no cooperation with Daedra is allowed, just forget it! If you're playing casually then yes you're free to do whatever you want :D. Meridia is not less-evil, she is just as Daedra as any other. Just because she's fascinated by light shows and fiery blades, doesn't mean that she's suddenly on the side of humanity or that she stopped being a Daedric Prince.
An opposite would be a Death Knight (it's a class heavily inspired by Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft). I've been working on it, once I'm done with university, I'll make sure to finish it!
Thank you very very much, I'm really glad you've enjoyed them! Thank YOU for watching them! Thank you for your support and stay tuned for more content!
You know it didn't even occur to me! Good catch! It's just that you'd have to gimp yourself so hard to play without soul gems, it'd be really challenging gameplay-wise. And then what do you do with legendary items, all of them ARE essentially living, breathing things and I'd imagine most of them were not willing donors of their souls.
@@QuickSaveTV Some gear that is already enchanted you don't know whether a mage made it with a soul or not(without meta-gaming), your character can just think it's imbued with magic, divine powers etc which is a fair assessment. Making one is a totally different story, same with knowingly feeding a weapon souls. I think you need to gimp yourself a little when roleplaying, then again, there are mods that will allow you to imbue your weapon temporarily with sunlight, fire, poison damage. Another mod that allows you to use your magicka to re-fill weapons.
Sure it is possible to make one, but Paladin is really different from the Templar. T is in many ways a fighter against magicians and renegade casters, whereas P is the fighter against Necromancers, Undead and generally all that are unholy and sacrilegious.
Very informative. This is going t be very fun to do a role play. The way you explained the class was very well thought out and i really enjoyed waching this. Mercy of stendarr be with you.
That was the gap left purposefully for you to determine :O Speech - as much as YOU are WILLING to spend Armor - the one that YOU prefer. P.S. Sorry for late reply, been busy.
Apprentice restoration robes with steel plate helmet gauntlets and boots looks swag (for lack of a better word) along with the dawnguard rune warhammer, also the roleplay should be where your character is more forgiving as yours was completly hateful of anything non-mortal but should be more forgiving for instance when you meet serana you shouldn't be hateful but be unstanding as she didnt have a choice. Thank you for your time.
I call it DEE-dric because if you listen to some of the dialogues about Daedra they actually call them DEEdra. Might be wrong though :) In any case, I don't think it detracts from the quality of the tutorial.
hey Mike, i don't know if you actually still make skyrim vids but i've got some classes i'd like you to make. 1. is the Pilgrim, this is the class the explore skyrims wilds in search of wealth, to see skyrim in a different ways like none have seen before. the second class is the dragonborn class. the idea is to get the most out of the shouts, this class is using shouts as his/her main offence and defense. please let me know what you think of both and if you are going to make them. thanks man!
@HerpesFacial Thanks! I'm really glad I inspired you to start a Paladin! I did not finish the main quest (I postponed it indefinitely). I don't want to do main quest because then I will have this feeling that this game has nothing else for me. I love mystery, so I dont play until the end (I did the same in Oblivion, that's why even now I can go there and enjoy it a lot!) Thanks for your support, come back for more! Oh, and your English doesn't suck! :)
Love the vids! Your voice is as if a Khajit and Nord mated. My Polish GF wouldn't like that I'm "liking" the videos from a Russian, haha. Great work! Question: Have you done a video about smithing above "Legendary"? Meaning "Epic" rated.
i understand what your saying about Daedric princes, I believe an allowance should be made for Azura and especially Meridia. After all dawnbreaker is the epitome of a pally weapon.
What you do not realize is, the "bonuses you are referring to are not actually helping character building anyhow. See, regardless of the fact how many starting "bonuses" you begin with, each and every single character ends up on level 81 with 17/18 skills maxed out. What is much more important, however, is the lasting benefits for each individual race. Breton/Dunmer/Nord each have powerful resistances and they remain relevant to any class, making them safe and ideal choice for any situation.
@oORoOFLOo You're not supposed to have Daedric Armor yet, it's not for your level. Daedric hearts can be bought from alchemical stores all around Skyrim and it's the easiest way to obtain them. Ebony ingots will come around as you progress in level.
oh... well lol. btw, i have a sugestion for a class: medic needed skills: alchemy, restoration, alteration, speech, and the rest you choose. weapon of choice: dagger(s) clothing: robe/fur armor(the trench coat like)
Great video. really amaing narrative and detail. I also ove the class and narrative ever since some vigilant's of stendarr helped me fighting some undead :) keep up the great work
You can use whatever you prefer! What I am saying here is traditionally in classical RPGs Paladins, Clerics and Priests use MACES, because they are generally extremely effective against Undead Skeletons and fit with the class presentation better :) I can't enforce you to do anything, can I? :D
Please, go ahead and use the sword then! Classically, in RPGs, all holy warriors used blunt weaponry because it is immensely more effective against the Undead. It's not dramatically important, however, what matters is what you feel like doing and getting the fun out of playing the game you love!
Can I just say. I love your voice. It's just a complement. Please don't interpret as flirtation. Just love the voice. Sounds epic. Ever considered doing voice acting?
@wolffe93 All of those are very good points, however, the hardcore paladin shall NOT ally with any Daedra, no matter how good they seem. In the picture of the class I present you Maces and Hammers work better than swords, as, generally in RPGs and Lore, maces and hammers are MUCH more effective against Undead.
SPOILER ALERT You will be able to heal from the decease and plus everybody gets in difficult situations, it doesn't mean that Paladins are bulletproof! The question is, do you use the ability or do you just have it. Now that makes the difference.
This is a question I get a lot. Well, you are not enforced to NOT do Daedric quests, however, if you follow my RP restrictions then you cannot do any Daedric quests, including Meridia. Good intentioned or not, she is still a Daedric Prince and we do not truly know her motives, despite what she was, how she bacame it and what is her motivation.
Maces are classical weapons of choice of the Palandin. Dawn Breaker, even though it is a very powerful and beautiful sword, it's juts a stupid toothpick. If you look at the old lore, Oblivion classes, WoW BC cinematic you will realize that Paladins actually prefer maces, because they are just much more effective against the undead (and Teuton knights).
You don't have to do any of this :) However, I think the Companions are the only guild that actually offers a work for a paladin that is not necessarily conflicting the class. But whatever strikes your fancy. Your English if fine, calm down - I was able to understand everything you've written. ;)
i am a daedric paladin. if u want to know what i use its daedric armour (if u guys dont have high enough smithing just use the Ebony mail) i wield a mace of any kind preferably ebony mace daedric mace or molag bals mace. Wield fast healing in the other hand and ur mace in the other :) i really reccomend trying this
Well not all shield are useless. If you enchant them properly they work pretty well against a dragons breath attack and blocking when they attack you physically also works. You can also get the spellbreaker which also works great against dragons breath attacks.
2 handed have less dps and are a lot harder when it comes to taking on bigger groups of enemies without experience so i do agree with you it took a lot of pratice from oblivion and skyrim for me to perfect my own brand of fighting from it. Not the most popular or deadliest but if you can use it effectively and you like its play style its a amazing class also nice video
@oORoOFLOo Violation!!! :D Banned from the Free Paladins Guild. Sounds very good, I'm glad you're finding it fun to play on Master. Nord and Breton are both very powerful, as both have very useful resistances.
@crazymatt2011 not if they are inside somebody else's house. :) If they are inside a cave filled with thugs, then sure, it's only just to liberate those goods. In some extreme circumstances, when there is no other way you can also do this :) P.S. All this is for HardCore Roleplay.
Though I understand not cooperating with Daedra for the roleplay aspect, if you go completely without doing Daedra quests you're missing out on the two artifacts that can make this build: Dawnbreaker and Spellbreaker. I find it kind of weird these were made as Daedric artifacts considering it's almost as if they were designed for a paladin class. Other than those two,I love the roleplaying aspect of not doing any of the Daedric quests.Really wish there were a way around those two. With how OP they are, they may as well be Aedric.Someone needs to make a mod where Dawnbreaker belongs to Akatosh and Spellbreaker to Stendar.
Well now that I think about it,it is a good paladin quest.Still,if you're a paladin you may have a moral issue with returning the beacon to Mount Kilkreath.Unless you're fearing what will happen to you if you don't.Deadric wrath isn't normally painless,so I could see how your character could be motivated by fear to continue and when you hear of the necromancy you just have to take action. Still an issue of Peryite.I don't think there's a way to justify killing plague victims for looking for a cure. You're going to have to step out of role play for that one.
"if you're a paladin you may have a moral issue with returning the beacon to Mount Kilkreath." "...and when you hear of the necromancy you just have to take action." exactly how I thought when I got the quest, and I wasn't even playing a paladin, just a good character in general also yeah peryte is not good in any form, one of his desires is to "cleanse" the world by spreading his disease(s) lol
I would say Meridia is allowed, as her sword is of light, and she tells you that you will become her weapon of cleansing light, she too hates the undead, so she's more Aedra than Daedra IMHO
Perhaps... Meridia for chaotic good paladins, Stendarr for lawful good paladin?
the perylite shield too
Aredra are Gods that aided in the creation of Mundus. While Deadras are not ancestors of man and mere.
Meridia was originally an aedra though
Left the club - lost her card.
you are definitely the best skyrim commentator in youtube being the most straightforward and clear. thanks!
I'm really glad I could help you! Good luck with your new builds (and, perhaps old) and stay tuned for more content from QuickSaveTV!
There are so few interesting character builds for Skyrim on RUclips, and even fewer with RP capabilities. You've provided both, and it's awesome.
I like the role-playing aspect you put into your videos it makes them feel more immersive.
I am very impressed with your vids and your involvement with your viewers. Just hope it doesn't change as you grow.
Thank you :D It will eventually if the volume becomes impossible to address, but I will still try to answer as many as I can.
Huh, light armor and a two handed weapon? I like that idea. Up until now, on my two handed character, I've been focusing on heavy armor so that I could take more hits when swinging my weapon. I don't really understand what you are asking here... Focus on 1H/2H; Heavy Arm; Smith; Speech; Resto; Ench.
Very nicely done presentation! Pleasant to watch!
u do the best tutorials and details, u made me a better assassin in ur sneak in detail and what it means to be the thief videos!!! :D
i understand what your saying about Daedric princes, I believe an allowance should be made for Azura and especially Meridia. After all dawnbreaker is the epitome of a pally weapon.
Thank you for watching, glad you've liked it!
Indeed, may yours as well!
It's math. It's not personal taste or whatever, it's just that 2H are inferior to 1H+Shield.
Then again, you also get a cookie for using 2H :)
@oORoOFLOo You're not supposed to have Daedric Armor yet, it's not for your level. Daedric hearts can be bought from alchemical stores all around Skyrim and it's the easiest way to obtain them. Ebony ingots will come around as you progress in level.
oh... well lol.
btw, i have a sugestion for a class: medic
needed skills: alchemy, restoration, alteration, speech, and the rest you choose.
weapon of choice: dagger(s)
clothing: robe/fur armor(the trench coat like)
Sure, there is no problem, I just throw an argument at you so you have more stuff to think about! You're doing very good, don't worry!
You're hired. People of The Earth, say hello to my new writer!
Nice video! If you remember me... That is what i was thinking about a paladin!
You do a very good job! Thank you very much and honor your shield!!
Great video. really amaing narrative and detail. I also ove the class and narrative ever since some vigilant's of stendarr helped me fighting some undead :) keep up the great work
You can use whatever you prefer! What I am saying here is traditionally in classical RPGs Paladins, Clerics and Priests use MACES, because they are generally extremely effective against Undead Skeletons and fit with the class presentation better :)
I can't enforce you to do anything, can I? :D
Youre the best Skyrim tipp maker ( i don`t know how to call you xD) i`ve ever seen and your tutorials helps me so well thank you!!!!!
Yes. that would be really cool, but I really don't think they have any questlines associated with them right now...
@Ccoalas I have more requests already... I'll keep an eye open for Assassin and Mage also, but later on.
I'm not sure you can mod your PS3. You can change names of your items by enchanting them.
SPOILER ALERT
You will be able to heal from the decease and plus everybody gets in difficult situations, it doesn't mean that Paladins are bulletproof!
I like the roleplay style of the presentation its different from anyhting iv seen in a good way
You don't have to do any of this :) However, I think the Companions are the only guild that actually offers a work for a paladin that is not necessarily conflicting the class.
That last line was just the cherry on top of all the weird
@oORoOFLOo Violation!!! :D Banned from the Free Paladins Guild.
Sounds very good, I'm glad you're finding it fun to play on Master. Nord and Breton are both very powerful, as both have very useful resistances.
@crazymatt2011 not if they are inside somebody else's house. :) If they are inside a cave filled with thugs, then sure, it's only just to liberate those goods. In some extreme circumstances, when there is no other way you can also do this :)
With how OP they are, they may as well be Aedric.Someone needs to make a mod where Dawnbreaker belongs to Akatosh and Spellbreaker to Stendar.
dawnbreaker is given by Meridia(i think) who orders you to kill a necromancer and their sumoned ghosts/spirits. Fits the Paladin role IMO
"if you're a paladin you may have a moral issue with returning the beacon to Mount Kilkreath."
"...and when you hear of the necromancy you just have to take action."
exactly how I thought when I got the quest, and I wasn't even playing a paladin, just a good character in general
also yeah peryte is not good in any form, one of his desires is to "cleanse" the world by spreading his disease(s) lol
I would say yes, and if you wanted a reason, you could say that you wear that armor as a prize or trophy from the day-draws you've killed.
haha thanks, this has inspired me to role play a character on hardest difficulty (i normally run on 2nd to hardest)
