- My 4C Hair Fell Out and a Natural Hair Salon In Nigeria did This To Fix It
Hey loves,
So, today I will be taking y'all through my visit to a Local Natural Hair salon in Lagos Nigeria. I meannnnnn... we are in Nigeria babes so ofcourse, we had to scout for a Local Natural Hair Salon in the city of Lagos! Was definitely excited for this one as it was first time getting such an experience of a full on natural hair salon treatment in Nigeria where all the juicy natural hair tips and tricks were shared. The only sad part which we noticed during the entire process was that my 4c hair fell out like it was literally falling out in huge sheds. Not sure I have seen my 4c natural hair go through this kind of hair loss but anyways, let's watch to see how this Natural Hair Salon in Nigeria came through to fix it while assisting with the re growth of my 4c natural hair in the most healthy way possible. And yeah, we did a very cute flat twist and mini twists hair style on short 4c natural hair that black women with any hair type can rock beautifully as well. Hope y'all enjoy coming with me to visit this Natural Hair Salon in Lagos Nigeria :) #4chair #naturalhair

Natural hair salon in Africa . 4c hair . hair fell out . short 4c hair
3min late 😂 I'm early y'all I deserve this whole video ☺️
ENERGYYY 😂❤️
@@AdannaMadueke it was actually worth it...soft life😊
@Adanna Madueke Beautiful style. I can never get my twist to stay downward. What do you think would cause that? Also what products did she use to do your twist?
@@AdannaMadueke please where is the location cos I will love to have my natural 4c hair taken care of?
Yep the same💕💕💕
I really need her to do my hair!!!! I could SEE how gentle she was and the fact that she was honest with you and wanted to protect your hair! I am 47 and NEVER experienced a salon or stylist who seemed to care about the actual HEALTH of my hair. But I'm in the states😢
Right, my mom was a stylist & was like this... One of her clients she grew her hair past her behind & that lady said her hair has NEVER been that long in her life. She came weekly... I did hair also in my moms salon yrs ago but I miss her doing mine
You should watch deeper than hair channel. She lives in the USA and is so gentle
If u live in Los Angeles I got a stylist for you. She is from Detroit and she is all the way truth. I have been going to her for almost 6 years
@@angelicchitwood7341 pls am interested
This issue with stylist not caring didn’t start until the last 10 years. Prior to that all the stylist with “growing hands” were everywhere. They started retiring and the IG craze came
In making it not worth stylist having to do the extra.
She's spot on about natural hair twists for growth. I did those all throughout pandemic...just washing, moisturizing, oil, and some twists. My hair grew from shoulder to waist in a year. When i started back with the box braids using extension, i got breakage at the hairline smh.
I’ve started to make twists for a few months now and I’ve seen faster hair growth than when I just left it out 💓 it’s now close to waist but it’s a little over bra strap length
I do my own box braids. However, my trick is that i do bigger sections but use little extension hair. Then i just let my edges be. I also braid them faily loose and i keep it in a loose bun.
@@bluebird4815 that’s how my sister does her hair. Her 4c hair is waist length. She rarely lets others braid her hair. 1x every 2 years. Meanwhile I’m in a chair every other month and my hair stays at my shoulders lol
@@bluebird4815 exactly - the key is low manipulation, low tension, not to heavy extension and leave edges alone. That’s how I grew my 4c back length
Girl yep happened to me
You wouldn’t get your hair washed in the USA for $17. She’s amazing, what a beautiful job she did.
That is Nigeria and there a big difference
@@Joejoh2010 no shit that’s why she said wouldn’t you can’t read huh 🥴
That's great!!! My hair stylist only charges me $25 for a wash which is good too. (USA-Georgia)
And shouldn't, good reason to tip big to the professional
170 in the US 🤣🤣
I love seeing hairstylists that properly care for natural hair 😌 she did a wonderful job
It came out pretty. Keep an eye on that hair loss. Also if it keeps coming out like that, have your thyroid checked. I lost a lot of hair before I realized that it was a medical issue. I still have a bald spot in the middle of my head. I love your laugh and smile. Have a great day
Please tell your hairdresser that I was watching her hand movements while she was twisting your hair and that her movements made your twist sturdy. My twists were always wimpy and weak looking. But once I applied her technique my twists are very sturdy and very pretty. Please tell her that I said Thank You so much. Now I can wear my twists outside.
Or iron levels
Please take iron
Your iron intake has to do with your hair loss also Ilove your energy
Rest is making me want to fly to Nigeria tomorrow to let her give me that same hairstyle. Love it for you Adanna... 'Lagos crazy driver now' 😅💞
"Rest is making me want to fly to Nigeria tomorrow to let her give me that same hairstyle." ME TOO!
The hairstylist is talented and she cares for her customers🙌🏾
I felt a way about heat on my natural 4c hair too, but now I use low heat every wash day. It not only stretches our hair, but it opens the cuticles and helps our hair absorb the moisture.
Ms Adanna, that African sun and heat got your skin looking extra luxurious. Sis did an amazing job with your hair. I especially love how she sectioned and finger detangled throughout the whole process. Your hair was shiny as hell and super neat. Tfs your salon experience.
Beautiful ❤️ 😱 $17 for that hairstyle though!!! I would be paying $75 here in the US!!
Tell me about it sis 😩
Well that $17 is someone’s monthly salary in Nigeria. So it’s really expensive for a lot of the locals
Hell shit $17 is cheap but in the USA Texas it would be $50 for a simple hairstyles.🙄
Off rip💵
Shid that's every bit of 120 here in VA.
Rest did an amazing job with your hair; she literally brought your hair back to life! The style looks good on you too!
I love how she cared for your hair . The style is perfect for you . The price is exceptional
Hi Adanna. Sorry for the hair issues, but remember 'stress' can cause those issues too. Life can can be very busy sometimes, but remember to treat yourself as now. Take breaks, tea o beer o glass of wine, good book, prayers, yoga, or whatever helps you to drain the stress.
Nice to see you Adanna, because of you have literally learnt everything to do with hair, and have started my channel like 2weeks ago,i can now do my hair comfortably 😍😍.Thank you dear ❤😊
Ouuuu look at you boo! Am so proud 🥺❤️
@@AdannaMadueke Thank you very much!❤❤
This international content is everything to me! Yes!
I absolutely love your hair like that. She did an amazing job. Wish we had more natural stylists in my area that takes pride in their work like this.
This style is soooo neat and $17 wow I'd go every week lol
Rest would definitely see me every week LOL
Happy sundayyyyy boo 🥰
Happy Sunday 🥰
🌺🥰 Happy Sunday beautiful!
Happy Sunday boo❤❤😍
Your hair looks amazing 🥰 Soft-Life needs to come to US lol
Happy Sunday Boo💝😘 Adanna dear, best Sunday treat 🫶🏾Thanx for sharing.
This particular time I had braids, took them out and lost all of this hair. I had to research what could make this happen. I remembered that I do have low iron and that’s what my research led me. Started my iron regimen and my hair is stronger for it. Taking care of your insides lead to a beautiful and glowing outside 💯
You look beautiful in the first few seconds of the video! Your energy, charisma, positivity, and on and on. What a gem you are to us 💎 Blessings to you sis ❤️
From what I saw it wasn’t really shedding. Here is the thing: every human being loses a certain amount of hair every day. Now because we like braiding our hair etc (all those protective style) we think hair is not shedding. Then when we take them out we think we’re losing hair. No it’s all the hair that shedded under the protective style!!!!! Pnviously if it’s too much you know your hair is breaking for some reason!
Correct knowledge
I learned in cosmetology school that it’s about 180 hairs a day
Correct shedding is normal all animals including humans with hair shed some hair. Breakage is the one that's cause for concern because breakage is hair breaking at some point due to manipulation/ knots and this is not a natural process.
Adanna your hair is Beautiful. Thank You for sharing your salon experience in 💚🇳🇬.
Aww thank you so much for watching, boo 🤍
I really need that hair massage that comes with having someone wash my hair 🥰 and she was clearly gentle with the entire twisting process
Your hair turned out nice.
Thank youuu lovely 🥰
Beautiful shiny ✨ natural hair! The salon did an amazing job loving on your hair! So glad you to the time for self love and self care. You and your hair deserves it.
LOVE, love Looooooove this!
As a fellow African, I totally related to you. I too get my hair done at least once while visiting and it’s the best experience.
The is just something about someone else washing my hair!
The scalp massage 💆♀️ looks so good😻
You look beautiful as always 😍
That scalp massage is heavenly 🥺 thank you beautiful 🥰
She really took care of your hair. I love that. Not many people take care of your hair when you go to the salon and most black hairdresser treat your hair as though they have never touched/handled natural hair before and this is for the ones that braid every day
I used to hate blowing my hair too, and my hair is like yours too. But I now understand hair must be straightened to prevent tangles that may coz breakage, so once in a while it isn't that bad. Love the style, it's nice seeing show hair hairstyles s beautiful.
My God sistah mom is from 🇳🇬. She taking my girls and I with them next year, I’m so excited… Big ups mi sistah❣️
Ouuu y’all are about to have so much fun!!! 💃🏽🇳🇬😍
I love your stylist name 😍 Rest is so comforting and her energy is so precious. $17 ?! Lawd I need to visit Africa. Your hair looks good
So we know where to find the original twisters😍 Wow- your hair is beautiful!💚🤍💚
Hahahaha right!! 😆 thank you boo boo 🤍

Aww thank you sweets 🥰
Your hair actually looked like it grew quite a bit:)🙏🏽
I’ve learned that some shedding is to be expected.
It was beautiful b4 & after👍🏽
Ooh yes, this style is IT! Looks sooooo pretty 😍👏🏾🫶🏽
Wow,She’s good 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
righttt 🥺
I lov how she washed your hair so relaxing style pretty too 💕💕💕
The lady is really good. Hair style so lovely. Thanks for sharing this beautiful vlog with us ....
Oh she is! 🥺 thank you so much for watching, lovely 🤎
I wish there are salons that do these type of treatment on natural hair around where I live❤❤❤this is amazing really❤❤❤🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
🥺❤️❤️❤️
There's plenty of natural hair salons in SA. Just search on google to your nearest location. The most important thing is to take charge of your appointment. I literally bring my own hair products along, even my own combs & fiber towels. Yep, I'm strict like that lol. And i ask them not to pull my edges.
I will try to because since I moved here I've been taking care of my hair❤
Yellow sisi is really the GOAT when it comes to natural hair in Lagos( the whole of 9ja honestly) ❤️.
It's so neat and beautiful!!!
I'm legit about to cry 😭 look at you in all your natural glory! Bless Soft Life's hands :)
Your head could be shedding from stress of your move, medication, new environment, etc.
Also… THANK YOU for explaining that even though the style may seem cheap to us it can be expensive to the locals.
I LOVE the end result. Rest did a fabulous job! Beautiful!
I love how gentle she was and the way she treated your hair. I just had to go back to a twa because of damaged hair 😩. Think I'll go back to twists after seeing your video.
That style is gorge!!
Thank you lovely 🥰
Hey Adanna Hey, Happy Sunday. Hooray for today's video on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. Oh no I'm so sorry that your hair fell out, I'm happy and glad that someone was able to bring your hair back to life 👏🏽🙌🏽 I can't wait to see how she styled the hair 😍 Sending love 💓💓

The best part of the video is seeing how much YOU liked it. Great salon, great job!
Beautiful hairstyle.
It’s the thumbnail for me and the facial expressions at the beginning of this video😂❤️❤️❤️
The hair style really looks great on you! I wish Yellow Sisi would open a branch in Enugu! Heard so much about her salon.
Chai as they finished weaving the side and she removed the mask, see beaut!!!!!!!😍😍😍😍
Hello I just love your natural hair style it looks so fresh clean and shiny ❤️
That looked so nice. So neat and hydrated. Very cute
Wow wow! That hairstyle is gorgeous! Now I have to try it! And you are so funny with your descriptions. 😘❤️
Rest, is surely the hair stylist I need for my natural hair. She's definitely a hair stylist that cares for your hair.
I know I'm late but cornrows make my hair fall out everytime, it's a no go for me even if I love the way it looks. Love your texture ❤
I love this style I guess that'll be my next hair style
She did a wonderful job it came out beautifully..
Yeah you’re right. I can’t imagine paying 10,000 naira in Nigeria for braids when I’m being paid in Naira. Way cheaper if you earn in dollars
That's why I've been avoiding natural hair salons for ages 🤣🤣🤣
It's $17 dollars in us money ppl that's cheap. The count is different
@@joydixon3440 $17 converted to my country's currency is a huge amount of money. More than half of the population don't spend up to half of that amount in a day.
This style is so NICE on you. The stylist and her hair care is fabulous 🤩
Rest was like "just spray. It won't take time, just spray". I'm too lazy to even spray😂😂😂😂
Meanwhile, the style came out good. I should try it soon
Beautiful. They did A fab job. Natural hair is the way to go.
Very Nice.
She did an amazing job on you hair. Absolutely beautiful. 💕
I'm sorry your hair fell out. She really took her time and did a beautiful job.
Such a great video. I loved seeing what styles you came up with before you moved, but I am so looking forward to see what you do with your natural hair now. I love this style by the way.
Very Cute Hairstyle!!!
Hi Adanna,
You have BEAUTIFUL hair and pls don't take this the wrong way.. You need to try dedicating some of your vids promoting healthier hair, for as long as you have been a youtuber ur hair s/b a bit longer, if you practice some of the stuff the stylist told you too.. you will see Significant growth only if you wish to take ur hair to the next level..
God Bless and stay safe
MJD
She smiles with her beautiful eyes.
I love it! ❤️ she did an amazing job 👏 Sunday blessings 🙏🏾
This is the second time I’m hearing of good reviews about Nigerian hair salons! Wish I could visit one! Maybe one day🙏🏾
Thank you for this video. I don't get why the narrative is pushed that as soon as our hair is even slightly damaged, it must be chopped off.
It’s soooooo beautiful!!!!! You left with your hair looking shiny, healthy and luxurious 😍
That style is so cute. Lovely job.
I absolutely love it! It turned out beautiful ❤
So glad there are such places in Naija, your stylist such a jewel, so 😍 😊 😚
