I grew up on all the animated comic shows from the 90s. My grandfather, dad uncle, and I are all huge marvel fans, my uncle even published his own comic in U.K "Brody's Law". X-men 97 is so well written and animated, and it highlights how amazing older comic stories actually were. My inner child is doing 360s
@@ozymandiastheiii9176 I'm so glad it did! My dad introduced me to the animated show even though I was born in the 2000s. I'm so glad he introduced me to the X-Men; they've been one of my favorite superhero teams of all time!
Be Bastion. Upgrade yourself with invincible future metal from everyone's favourite time-travelling pouch-enthusiast. Take on all the X-men. Take no visible damage from anyone's attacks. Suddenly get the bloody destructo-disk from dragon ball z chucked at you. It instantly slices through your invincible future metal wings and overfiend-esque appendages like a mall babe through chilli-fries, and cuts them clean off. Rather than recognise a clearly greater threat, you decide it's a good idea to smart-mouth the person who launched said destructo-disk. They then further humiliate you by putting you in a ye-olde pro wrestling move, THE IRON CLAW. But this claw also fires plasma at you from point blank range and half your face gets burnt off. The plasma hits with so much force that you then get launched at enormous speed into a giant sentinel head, which then falls on you.
Honestly she got the best hit out of everyone. Really glad she got this moment to shine. Fitting as well since Bastion is supposedly the future, and Jubilee as the youngest member of the team is the "Future" of the Xmen.
I really like this moment because Jubilee’s powers have always been shown to short out machinery. Of course she would be extremely effective against Bastion
"What will you do, child? Slay me with the 4th of July?" While many people were laughing about this insult to Jubilee, I was like "OMG! He's referring to her ultimate skill in X-Men: Legends, "Independence Day"!! Beau DeMayo I love you!!!
Finally, I found some other Jubilee fans. Thought I was the only one! Like everyone else, I'm so glad to see some character development in this series. Been waiting 30 years to see a mature, badass Jubester. Hoping to see her shine more in upcoming episodes. Maybe she'll get some screen justice in the live action movies too? As I've been saying elsewhere on the internet, she's too good a character to always be "the kid left behind at the X-mansion".
This is even more satisfying to watch because in the comics, Bastion kidnaps Jubilee and tortures her to reveal info about the x men... So This feels like good pay back for all that trauma she went through in the comics
Dang jubilee getting shine..amazing...just imagine, this could've been kitty pryde...but on some phasing combat...I wonder if they continued what she would've done
I mean I like Jubilee just fine, but wasn't anyone else taken back a little bit about her power display here? I mean she facepalmed Bastion and threw him like a mile into that trashed Sentinel display..............This is simply some physical trait she has never displayed before..... I'm fine with having her moment to shine, but it just comes off as weird. This was like Rogue level of power for a second....
@@Lynxnd Yea I considered that as well. It may in fact be exactly what happened, I think it was just a tough visual thing to sell for me. I do think you are probably right and that's what was in the back of my mind as well.
@@DemonKnight85 She didn't just slap his face with her physical prowess but hit his face with her power. It is the explosion from her hand that sent Bastion fly. IMO, it really shows both of her power's prowess and her damage potency.
What are your thoughts on X-Men 97’s season 1 finale?

When even Jubilee get to shine, YOU KNOW this show is something else. My girl is looking like a true badass finally.
FR
I wish Wolverine got to see it. He would've been a proud poppa bear
This is the best show I’ve seen in my life, perfect down to the last detail
Jubilee really levelled up after that Mojo episode... I'm so glad they showed her using her stronger abilities before the season ended.
"Slay me with the 4th of July?"
Probably wouldn't be saying that if he knew the injury/loss of limbs/fatality statistics from fireworks.
Jubilee: Baby you're a firework!
which is funny because he literally lost his wings to them seconds ago
She learned that "Kienzan"-like technique from the old Jubilee pretty well.
“And what will you do, child? Slay me with the 4th of July?” He asked as if she didn’t just cut his metal wings off with a buzz saw made of light.
That dodge and explosive right hook to the face. Freaking love it. Jubes could be so much more powerful if they’d let her.
RIGHT??? That dodge was so badass couldn’t stop replaying it!!
Oh she is. Just ask the Collector...
...as soon as they find what's left of him.
She gets stronger when she becomes a vampire, and judging by her new outfit, it seems they are gonna go with that story
She has sub atomic potential with her powers
The Destructo Disk slice was so clean, I think it deserved a slow-mo replay.
Even Jubes got to shine!
Love this show!!!!

Beau DeMayo I love you!!!
Love her character development in this season, she went from being a cocky team with a big ego to a reliable team player with a family heart.
And this is why there is Warning label on fireworks.
That would've been a good one-liner lol
Never underestimate my Jubilee!!! You Go Girl kick some ass.🥳🥳🥳

Mocking her powers was a bit of a strange choice after she cut off his wings.
As someone described it on Twitter, Jubilee throwing a Kienzan at cyborg uncle Ruckus
Jubes was like, take a break Cyclops--I got this--let me show you what real power can do!
love u jubilee
YEAH!! This show is really great and epic.
My girl finally growing up 🥲
Peal, it always great when Jubilee gets to shine.
Ikr
Jubilee learned Krillin's Destructo Disc
I mean...theoretically she's able to explode matter on a subatomic level. So at full potential she could just blow up Bastion with a single thought
If this was the original series Bastion’s amusement wouldn’t be unfounded. But alas, he ate his own words _and_ the 4th of July.
Go look at the stats for fireworks related injuries.
She's evolved so much since the first episode of Xmen TAS. I remember haters back in the day would say shes weak. She just melted Bastion's face off
Jubilee is such a Girlboss ❤🎉
When a mall babe gets chilli fries!
Get him Jubes! 🎆🎇🎆
Jubilee: You picked the wrong team! Now... *GIVE ME YOUR FACE!!*
This is even more satisfying to watch because in the comics, Bastion kidnaps Jubilee and tortures her to reveal info about the x men...

It doesn't like much but she pretty much threw him with a grenade to the face.
SHINNING FINGER!!!!!!!

Queen Jubilee❤

woohoo
Funny fact, Jubilee make a final shot :)
Shoulda seen his face after he got WREKT.
How did she find the strength to throw him?
It was the power of her plasma blast that knocked him back.
I know bro got an OF account, cant disney look away?
Lol

If you consider it logically, Jubilee was able to hurl Bastion due to the explosion of her fireworks, which is evident when she threw him.

Sleazoid.
A likely combo of sleaze and android
