Aeon Lifewave patch on horses with ear issues

This is Jet, a 14 year old seasoned barrel horse. When we is turned out he gets fussy around his ears. Prior to me catching him this time he had thrown his head up and bolted when I tried to put the halter over his neck. I have to tie the halter town by his cheek to get him haltered. He had trauma to his ears as a 2 year old but I also have had several of his siblings be sensitive around their ears all in a bit different way, but funny like this.
