I like the look of it and all of the new features have been tried and proven by other n=big brands, it should be a stormer under Tadej! I guess that Colnago will say it's 18W faster at 45kph than the V4R and will cost $21,000 cad in the team version.
its just marketing... think of the smallest gain you can possibly think.. out of 1 million piece of sand this one is just 1 piece of sand faster than the other brands.
The bike looks horrendous! and Im a Colnago collector with all the latests model, I hope Ernesto never seen this bike because he will be very disappointed.
At this point they should just make bikes that look cool and be truthfull let the designers go all out and dont mask it with some useless marginal gains with margins so low that it doesnt even matter for the pros let alone some middle aged dentist
Lightweight was all the rage, then it was aero, then all rounders and now back to aero? The cycling industry conveniently changes it's mind on what's most important when sales start slowing
If Pogacar has tested and approved it (and he certainly has), I'm sure it will be a rocket and a bike like this has been missing from Colnago. We will see!
I always thought tadej was at a disadvantage with the v4rs , this bike looks like a real weapon for Tadej and im sure he will be using it even in the mountain stages, just like Jonas and the S5
Hideous. such a shame as colnago have always maintained a beautiful classic shape that’s literally won everything possible with Tadej on its back. didn’t need changing at all.
I love the boldness of it. Its probably inferior to the classic double triangle design, but it's great to see a new shape after 20 years of "safe" designs.
Cervelo is being heavily copied these days. Under stem cable routing (Soloist) has become the de facto standard for anything without a one piece system, and now this thing is looking suspiciously like the S5. Hmmm...
The Tarmac SL7 is one of the first bikes with headset internal routing that doesn't go inside the stem and works with two-piece cockpits, earlier than the resurrected Soloist. An even earlier example is the third-generation Venge.
The front view of the handlebar reminds of the current Bianchi Oltre RC/Pro bars with a dip in the centre. This Colnago also reminds of the when Bianchi launched their hyperbike a couple years back - a controversial design - but at least bike manufacturers are trying to innovate. Innovation will break design paradigms, I'm all for it.
Fake. If it was real we'd see it already being tested by the pros. The head tube looks like it was copy/paste from a Winspace. The handlebar was copy/paste from a Cervelo. Zero thought was put into the seat post as it looks like it would snap right off the frame. I don't believe it's real.
Good God, it's ugly..😧 And I love Colnagos.. And all that better, lighter, efficacy BS, is only supported by the fact it only has to be the minimal amount better in a controled lab test..
@Mockle07 the marketing guys - or the aerodynamicists? In a world where bike silhouettes are all the same, there needs to be a visual difference from brand to brand. Frame builders knew this back in the day when makers' logo's were banned. The solution was curly stays, dogleg forks & flying gates.
@@neilwheel They have designed an aero bike, (primarily to help Tadej in the Monuments, most likely) so I think they will have assessed the aerodynamics of said aero bike, rather than just getting the marketing and design guys to draw something pretty. I appreciate that you’re probably a fully qualified aerodynamicists but I highly doubt someone at Colnago will be reading the RUclips comments and say “Oh shit, Neil has pointed something out here, how did we miss this?!”.
@Mockle07 OK, let's make this simple. Draw a letter T. How many strokes did it take? Now draw a Y. How many now? That's a 50% increase. But hey, it looks different to an SL8 or an RCR...
They'll be able to market it to a collection of gullible fools at a nosebleed price and their mediocre engines will still result in mediocre results. LOL
cervelo S5 made love with trek madone.
😂🤣 lmao
Also reminds me of the Superstrata...
Looks messy. The trek madone looks good now next to it
it better be 20W+ saving compare to the V4RS
@@nerdhoy add another zero bro, at least, those are rookie numbers when it comes to marketing claims nowadays

It’s pretty hideous. I’m sure it’s fast, though.
They don’t go fast without one of us on top.
its just marketing... think of the smallest gain you can possibly think.. out of 1 million piece of sand this one is just 1 piece of sand faster than the other brands.
Very hideous
The bike looks horrendous! and Im a Colnago collector with all the latests model, I hope Ernesto never seen this bike because he will be very disappointed.
Beautiful bike
They Xerox-ed the Kestrel Tribike design!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I see the future bike of chris miller
Is this 2kmh faster than sworks now?
Gunna stick to my v4 and I suspect tadej might too
doubt,, they will force him to ride the new one for sales,, its all about money
All that matters is that glorious positive rise stem. Aesthetics ™️
All I want for Christmas is to forget this bike 🤮
Agreed. The bike for the last couple of years was truly beautiful, particularly in the black / white. This is odd at best.
Thi sis why the UCI need to keep a tight reign on bike design. I don’t want anything close to triathlon bikes in the World Tour.
13 watts saved at 40 kph
At this point they should just make bikes that look cool and be truthfull
let the designers go all out and dont mask it with some useless marginal gains with margins so low that it doesnt even matter for the pros let alone some middle aged dentist
so Colnago is now selling rebadged Trek bikes?
I dont get how the seat post works
I guess they cut it to a fixed size and that 10cm in the frame is enough
Where i put my dropper post ? 😂
why is everyone hating it looks so good, now I have to convince my parents to buy me yet another bike tho and I think it won't come cheap.
Not surprising you have bad taste. You're still a kid who can't buy his own bike.
Not sure, it looks sick
I really hope this is not true ...
Lightweight was all the rage, then it was aero, then all rounders and now back to aero?
The cycling industry conveniently changes it's mind on what's most important when sales start slowing
so you want less choices?
that seatpost looks hideous, if anyone said to me "that's for aero gain", non of the track bike have such design.
have you not seen GB bikes with stupid forks and rear stays?
How much seat height can you even adjust here? Thats what I am worried about.
If Pogacar has tested and approved it (and he certainly has), I'm sure it will be a rocket and a bike like this has been missing from Colnago. We will see!
Bold prediction: Tadej will be really fast on this
or a tricycle
I always thought tadej was at a disadvantage with the v4rs , this bike looks like a real weapon for Tadej and im sure he will be using it even in the mountain stages, just like Jonas and the S5
18 watts faster. $15,500 USD. I'm not sure how that compares to the $21,000 CAD a guy under me guessed. But, we both think 18 watts (claimed).
Is it the 1st April?
Hideous. such a shame as colnago have always maintained a beautiful classic shape that’s literally won everything possible with Tadej on its back. didn’t need changing at all.
No more integrated seatposts please
Not sure where the di2 battery would go so this obviously is not shipping with Shimano.
The down tube is the other place it can go.
Nice copy paste of the actual article
Awesome because Pogi totally needs an advantage for 2025 season...
I love the boldness of it. Its probably inferior to the classic double triangle design, but it's great to see a new shape after 20 years of "safe" designs.

Looks great in white
I think the bike will be between 12w to 25w faster

"Breaking desing paradigms" usually means ugly.
Not much space for innovation inside the UCI rules, not much value outside
@@einundsiebenziger5488 Yes and no. It's because you're used to seeing bike a certain way. Aesthetics is subjective.
@@Nyarlathoth Would Colnago launch a controversial design if isn't UCI compliant?
I'll just buy the handlebar to convert a TT bike to an aero bike, seems to work. 😂
Fake. If it was real we'd see it already being tested by the pros.

These aren't going to be available in small sizes and keep the same philosophy, I'd wager!
Looks dope.. something different.
Looks like a cousin of the Onirri Aero
Trek madone’s cousin is finally out. But looks cool tho.
Soon more brand will features rised stem
... will feature* rised stems*.
@einundsiebenziger5488 Thanks gremmar Naziis
Has to be AI... At least the seatpost cannot work like this.. No enough lenght inserted to frame as well as no adjustment of it possible
My eyes and brains fried
The current 4VRS is an absolute dog of a frame, so it better be at least 30 watts
Canyon ultimate with love 😆
99.9% of the cycling population doesn’t need it. Most won’t be able to afford it.
Hideous looking bike.
The V4RS is a slog. I suspect the difference is bigger than between a Scott Addict and Scott Foil, so... 20-30W at 45kph
14 watts. 15,000$
Just bought a new V4RS - I think this new Y thing looks like a Cervelo and Madaone had a baby. Gross.
Yaasss super Nice ❤
looks risky, could be super good or a complete floop. i guess we will see.
The only thing that makes this bike fast is the rider.
Little Trek Madone look a like
They copied Bianchi, looks like exactly the same just different colour.
What a horror! It is going to give me nightmares.
Guys this bike is not UCI compliant, it's surely a fake
22.5 watts @ 50kph and $22.5K. A thousand $$$ per watt. Unobtainable pricing and unobtainable power savings!
21 Watts for 16000€
Surely a wind up
looks like a premature pinarello
Trek's Madone is the prettier bike in my opinion
Looks like a kestrel.
Colnago make also nice bike...
If it’s faster, then I don’t care about the appearance.
hmm...it looks agly even it's so fast...
One word:
Nope!
most ugly bike in a century
April Fool's joke 🤣, in December
This is a joke, right?
With Tadej on it 200w faster and £15,000.
Looks like something goofy from trek
All the salties in the comments still riding their dilapidated junk from 10 years ago 😂
Watts faster. Ks more 🤣
Finally Colnago managed to build a genuinely ugly bike. Obviously they envied Pinarello for much too long in that matter.
S5 and oltre and now this. Convergence of ugliness/Aero gains.
Super strange bike.
$20,000.
This is the only time I actually want the UCI to ban something. what an ugly bike.
Good God, it's ugly..😧
And I love Colnagos.. And all that better, lighter, efficacy BS, is only supported by the fact it only has to be the minimal amount better in a controled lab test..
So damn whacky
From head-on, the wind hits two stems instead of one. How can this be "aero"?
I’m going to go out on a limb here, but I reckon they probably did a bit of testing… so I’m sure it works.
I’d think that it would share the same frontal area as the handlebar of a conventional one
