    I believe it would be better if you can split this long vid to a few short vids and each give them a topic. This way it won’t overwhelm the viewer. Whenever I see 50min long vid like this I always save it for later, whereas if I see a video that’s only 8 min I would check it out. If within the 8min it successfully drew my attention for sure I would continue to finish up the whole series!

      Thanks so much for the feedback!! I was trying to go with 'real-time' coding so that people could code along side me without having to pause the video. Do you think faster paced, general overview tutorials, rather then step-by-step coding in real-time might be better? I'm definitely just trying to do provide a learning environment that works best for everyone. Let me know what you think. Thanks again!

    • @xrmasiso
      @xrmasiso  2 года назад

      Yes! Basically! The beauty of how unity handles it is that you can do everything in Unity and then export to a particular os.

  • @batircarrera1420

    Can the app be published so that other people can view the AR content?

    • @xrmasiso
      @xrmasiso  9 месяцев назад

      Yea it can ! You just have to sign up with Apple, you have to pay like 99$ a year for the developer access to upload stuff into the App Store.

    I'm interested in making an app that will recognize something like a picture on the wall and then overlay it with something else in the AR. Will this video give me the tools to make the AR recognize walls and floors?

    • @xrmasiso

      Hey! This seems to be something people want to learn, so I’ll probably make a video about this! Thanks for watching

    Oops very good, I would like to know if there is any video explaining how to make a text appear after I click and appear in the correct position next to the item.
    It would be to click first the item appears, and clicking again on the screen would appear the text explaining about the item. (item drawn in blender)

    • @xrmasiso
      @xrmasiso  3 года назад +2

      Great question! You can follow the exact same tutorial for an android app. The only difference is the following: 0) make sure your phone is in developer mode with usb debugging enabled and then connect to computer 1) in unity hub go to the install you are using 2) click the 3 dots and select add modules 3) select Add android build support 4) open the project 5) file --> build settings --> click on android --> click on switch (and wait for it to switch) 6) make sure development build is checked (and script debugging if you want) 7) click on player settings 8) under XR plug-in management select ARCore (it will then install) 9) remove Vulkan from Graphic APIs 10) Select Android 7.0 'Nougat' (API level 24) for minimum API level 11) select IL2CPP from dropdown at Scripting Backend 12) under target architecture check arm64 13) back in build settings, in the Run Device section, select your connected phone from the dropdown 14) hit build 15) if there is a pop-window usually just select ok/yes 16) You should be good to go! Everything else in this tutorial is the same. Again, the only differences can be adjusted from the Build Settings and the Player Settings after you've followed this tutorial.

      @xrmasiso  2 года назад

      Could you describe the problem a little more specifically? Are you saying you don’t see the yellow cloud points when you launch the app? Does everything else work? Not seeing the cloud points is not a bad thing, you actually don’t want to see them in the final app. We only usually visualize them at the beginning for debugging purposes.

      @xrmasiso  2 года назад

      @@yuyixian6986 ok, so the big cube goes up, that’s a good sign. When you press on the screen / click with your mouse does the baby cube get spawned ? If it’s not getting spawned it means the issue is spawning. If it spawns and doesn’t follow mama cube then you have to make sure that you have the mama cube prefab assigned to the public mama cube variable on the baby cube.

    Is choosing the AR template they have available the same as if I went to package manager and installed ARkit and ARfoundation? Is it a shortcut? I know this video was created some time ago, and I am new to Unity altogether.

    • @xrmasiso
      @xrmasiso  2 года назад +1

      Yes! Do that instead with the new unity versions. The template is so great. I would double check the player settings to make sure everything is in order, but the template works nicely out of the box. You may want to uncheck certain things from the session origin, but it’s fine. Throw in a cube and build it to your phone to make sure everything works before you start working on the project.
