Grace Vanderwaal Webster Hall, NYC, 17Sept 2019 - poor video, not quite the full set

- Sometimes you end up with tall people in front of you! It didn't spoil the concert for me - in fact I really enjoyed being in that crowd of enthusiastic New Yorkers and visitors from far away. I am afraid it made videoing hard, and I was determined to watch the concert rather than look at my screen all the time so the framing is bad, the camera tends to focus on the head in front not on Grace, and to avoid that problem I had to zoom in so then camera shake was a problem. On top of all that, I was enjoying the concert so much I forgot about the file size limit for my camera and missed recording the last few seconds of The City and some really good songs that followed. Still, you don't have to watch my video if you don't want to but, if you do, I hope you enjoy it!
RUclipsr "Hotelpapa100" has compiled a playlist of uploads from every concert on Grace's URSB tour, so visit his channel to find better footage to watch - I already have! He also has some lyric videos so you can check out those new songs.
The crowd at the front was enthusiastic and loud; when they started to dance they shook the floor. Pity they were so tall though!
if you can get a ticket for one of the remaining dates on this tour then don't hesitate; I think that Grace live is amazing, and I'm sure you will have a ball! If you're new to Grace then go to her channel "OhNevetMindItsJustMe - Grace Vanderwaal" for some real treats.

I think "cockroach incident" speaks for itself and I will use my imagination rather than request details :)
It‘s harmless, really. Watch Hannamontanafan‘s Part 2 of the concert. Considerig that she says bugs scare her, I was quite surprised at what unfolded there.
Unrelated: did you delete your comment on my video yesterday on purpose, or did RUclips eat it?
Oh, I remember now. I did delete it. Something about Grace singing that she is pathetic at an incredibly beautiful moment in the song. Why did I delete it? Because I cannot edit comments on my phone, and I wanted to do that. Then I never got around to reposting it.
I also missed City Song. I am so sorry about that! That was the last one I missed, I think.
did you delete my comment?
Grace Vanderwaal Rocks!!!💜💜💜😎
It's like being there with you. Thanks for bringing us along.
And I now officially envy you...
It's exactly the same feeling as the Toronto show
Congratulations the video was very good, Grace is amazing, has a vocal ability, intelligence and a great energy that brings a great brilliance to her work, congratulations and "success always" !!!
Terrific vid. Next best thing to being there close to this amazing ROCKER NEW YORKER! Grace said she was a "little" sick but she was a whole lot entertaining!
Poor video?? I really enjoyed it. Although it may have been random movements and the limitations of the camera, the effects throughout the video really came together beautifully. It's a really good video.
Thankyou so much for that. I nearly didn't post it, so I am glad you have enjoyed it.
This was awesome !!!!!!!!
Thank you for posting! I was wondering if she actually performed with the dots on her face and she did. 😊So how many concerts did you attend?!
@@FM-ij7iuAddicted! The surprising thing is that despite similar set lists (a constant core of songs with a few varied covers) the concerts have felt different. Part of that is the crowds and Grace's response to them. I am pleased to see Grace's talk becoming freer and more varied and confident between songs, even to the extent that she over-ran at the end this time. I am just pleased that I have the chance to come and see all this live while taking a tour of the USA as well.
Amazing Energy! What a Super Trooper! I heard she ran a slight fever during this set...but had it controlled. The slight changes in her voice was most interesting. She never gives a Bad Performance! She just keeps getting better. Her recent performances of I don't Like You have gotten much stronger. The song is still HOT! The EP version is going to be awesome!
Grace's band is perfect for her, they are a very good sounding band!
I believe she said " I'm a little sick" after singing URSB. Still not totally recovered then from New Haven when she had the fever? She is continuing to perform which would slow recovery. I'm glad the tour is ending soon then.
Me too. I actually prayed for her. I was so worried.
Disinfecting a Mic could be tricky
I was at this actual concert! My first. Can give a report, if it doesn't bore you. Yes, wasn't feeling well, but you could hardly tell. At least know it wasn't a cold - she belted out the full-bore parts of songs, gave it her all. Totally into it, enjoying herself. Just dropped out on a few lines here and there, but not the big ones. And of course held out her mic to let the audience take it, here and there, like always. Was her usual engaging self at the Meet & Greet,* especially with her younger fans.
Been debating whether to share this, but guess it's OK for we fans here who always want to look out for her. Was chatting with a security guard, and he let drop that a doctor came to check her out, made sure she was good to go on. And I did see her dad at the venue - so we know she's pretty OK.
You know how the band, especially the drums, sounds too loud on most cell phone vids? Heard it was mostly due to limitations of phone mics. Well, the problem was almost as bad live. She was fighting to be heard above the band at too many spots. Even when doing an intro for Stray, was shouting to be heard. Melissa, the keyboards, drums - all of it. They need to keep a handle on this.
*In case you're wondering, the Meet and Greet ticket gets you in before the concert. Don't really get to chat with Grace. She stands in front of a photo backdrop. We all line up, step up to her, say hi and a few words. Her response alway engages what the individual said. Freeze for the pic, and move on. Lots of hugs for the younger fans, of course. No cell phone pics! They send you the official one. But it was very special to pay her a compliment in person, shake her hand. The brief interaction may have been briefer that night due to her health.
I was going to call an ambulance at 44:00 I thought you passed out from the excitement.
Near thing! I really just didn't want to incur Grace's wrath. But now I think of it I could probably have got a good close-up while she was telling me off for not putting the phone away! But then that would have been disrespectful.
I don't see a poor video, i see good quality and Grace really enjoying herself on stage even though she's sick and doesn't want to disappoint her fans.
Well, thankyou! It certainly wasn't the video I'd hoped for. I have been enjoying watching it myself though! It helps that Grace was giving it her all for a very responsive home crowd.
Love the vid. Very expressive and moving somehow, with good sound.
