Awesome video Grant! I would put you in the Top 3 of all Crappie if not all around fish guide on YT. I have literally watched thousands. You do the best in showing how to and not just watch me catch fish. Also love your no nonsense approach leaving out all the fluff and rambling on about stuff that doesn't matter. As you say and I chuckle everytime...Enough Dickin' Around...Let's go catch some fish! Lol! Cheers Brother, and congratulations on your recent marriage. She has to be a Gem to put up with your Sorry Arse! Just kidding, but I would imagine it's true with you being you. Bet it was your cool ass Dog that sealed the deal! Heehee! 👊😎
I have 3 boys (7yr, 5yr, & 3yr) and we all LOVE watching your videos! It makes them excited to get out to the reservoir near us. Using your tips and techniques lets me help them actually catch fish. Thank you so much!
Man just keep doing you! Some of us enjoy learning all we can about those beautiful crappie!! Watching from guntersville ALABAMA!! LIVE FOR THE THUMP MY FRIEND!!
Saw your video this morning and inspired me to get out this afternoon in the cold. Didn't catch the numbers or size you did, but tried your techniques to find them and had some success so thanks for the tips, always great content, keep it going.
I’ve watched several of your videos, and this one got me to “subscribe”. Winter time fishing has been tougher for me, but this helped me to try some new methods and techniques. Thanks for a quality video!
Just discovered your channel. Your electronics discussions are OUTSTANDING. Next time I find my way to the great state of Kansas, will book a trip. Can tell that it would be a pleasure but I'd likely drive you BSC with questions. You'd be fishing with a sponge. :-)
Just found your channel and sub’d! Great vid and instruction. Been debating using a Garmin at the helm, already have 1042 at the bow. Everyone seems to use Humminbird for mapping etc. props from Mississippi
Thanks for the tutorial with DI, in your personal opinion at what depth are crappie liable to spook because one drove over them with the big motor going, also for the trolling motor?
Probably around 10-12’ down. They didn’t used to be but the water clarity has gotten pretty gin lately, but I prefer that. They come screaming in from a ways away.
@@KansasAnglingExperience I appreciate the response, I’ll be able to apply that to my fishing. Becoming more aware of the depth at which I’m looking for fish.
I notice that your lake map shows 20 to 30 foot of water by the the edge of river channel. Most lakes here in Oklahoma, it can be 40 to 60 foot of water near the river channel. Will I find crappie that deep? Thanks Brian
While it’s possible I don’t think in Oklahoma you’d be targeting crappie that deep. And you’d better be keeping every one of them, because fish caught from those depths won’t survive the trip up due to barotrauma.
Great video! Enjoyed that one a lot. Thanks for sharing. What suit were you wearing? Is it warm? I need a new one that’s able to hold up to pedal kayak fishing.
Okay I have a question for you when you're using your livescope right then are you in Forwarded view or download View? When do you switch it from Forwarded view to downward view what depth of water?
I heard one person saying he doesn't like to put waypoints on his livecope unit as he thinks it slows down the processor and creates more lag when using livescope. Have you experienced this as it didn't sound right to me. Thanks
@@callmecamo2 I’m not keeping a big secret or anything. The guy that makes the plastics just doesn’t sell to the public because he can barely keep up with a regular job, so it’s not my rule. It’s just a basic stinger or flaptail mold..

Thanks Brian! Great video and appreciate the tips on how to locate. Keep up the good work.
Always love some instructions on how everyone else uses their equipment. Keep learning.
i guess I'm pretty randomly asking but do anybody know of a good site to watch new movies online?
@Aron Jamal Try flixzone. You can find it by googling :)
@Alan Abdiel Yup, been using Flixzone for years myself :D
@Alan Abdiel thanks, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :) Appreciate it!!
@Aron Jamal no problem :D

Thankfully that’s what I do for a living!
You make it look so easy year right on point thanks👍🏽
Most times this time of year it is! Sometimes it’s not, crappies can be dicks
Looks like a blast!
Awesome fishing brother!
Good Stuff man. Keep it up! Thanks for the info. Hopefully I can put it to good use down here in Oklahoma!
Great video. I think Garmin should make more shade colors for the map.
Great video

Humminbird definitely has the good mapping on lockdown.
Thanks for the view Richard Head
You mentioned selling a transducer pole I just bought a LiveScope Garmin
Nice nice nice thanks for all the live scope views!!!!!

Another excellent video. The ones that complain the most usually can't catch fish......
Lots of good info. When you say down scan are you talking about clear view and whatnot?? Sorry new to the electronics game!!!
Correct.
@@KansasAnglingExperience thank you
Very cool !!!
I would like to buy one of the livescope poles I don't mines on the trolling motor
Great video as always. I noticed your video footage looks better than alot of the other fishing channels. Do you use ND filters?
I just color correct the footage in post production. Most other fishing channels don't put that kind of effort in ;) I just love video editing.
Another great video Brian. l really enjoy watching big ole slabs in the boat.
Is the DS image you showed on zoom? I have a UHD 93 SV and fish or structure dont show up as large as your pic. Great stuff ...keep it up.
No zoom. Just a close up with the camera. You can zoom in though, it’s in settings.
@Alabama Crappie Adventures 54
great video like always also intrested in your transducer mount can you send me information on it thanks in advance
Look through his videos. In the one he rigged his dad’s boat he shows how to make it. Pretty simple gadget!
Another great video! Quick Question is that lag the way LiveScope is or is it just the video? Honestly just curious ;) Thanks Happy Fishing..

Hey B, when you use double jigs, how far apart do you like to keep them?
Usually 12-18” or so
Great video! Enjoyed that one a lot. Thanks for sharing. What suit were you wearing? Is it warm? I need a new one that’s able to hold up to pedal kayak fishing.
Clam Ice Armor suit. It’s super warm!
@@KansasAnglingExperience thanks, I will check it out.
If you didn't have Livescope, can you see the fish and your jig with ClearVue? If so, what frequency? Thank you. :)
Traditional sonar yes, clear vu no.
Nice video
Since you live in Lawrence, have you ever met Ned Kehde?
I have, several times!
Good stuff! how do you get your tracks to show up I have a 93sv echomap plus
Fish chart settings-waypoints and tracks. Toggle on/off.
Okay I have a question for you when you're using your livescope right then are you in Forwarded view or download View? When do you switch it from Forwarded view to downward view what depth of water?
Always forward.

Tell him he doesn’t know what he’s talking about
Do you know if a live scope will work with a Garmin Echomap UHD 93SV . How deep can you see fish with it
It will. Can’t speak for depths past 40 ft but I’m gonna say yes.
Thanks for the info

What model Garmin are you using at the console?
This video is old. I run an Ultra 126SV at the console now.
Have you gotten the Ulterra back from service?
Nope, it’s being fixed now and will be sold to one of my customers. Good riddance!
Bummer man - that sucks. Thanks for showing us what you see on the graph before you stop and fish. Great video!
Quick question...
Do you guide for smallmouth?
Nevermind I just checked out your website and found the answer, thanks
Sure do! Spring and fall
Does the pan optics transducer work with any Garmin sonar unit or does it have to have a pan optics unit ?
Has to be panoptix compatible.
@@KansasAnglingExperience Bran. what. lake you fishing. i live. in Alabama. got a friend lives in kansas
@@davldmoyer7408 perry
What size jigheads do you use when you vertical fish
Usually two 1/8 oz jigs. Otherwise just one 1/4 or 3/8 depending on wind.
@@KansasAnglingExperience thanks, ive been struggling getting my jig down fast enough especially fishing from a kayak and without livescope.
@@laujkiatong I like to use bigger jigs and be aggressive!
@@KansasAnglingExperience thanks and keep up the hard work
What line do you recommend using?
10# braid
Who makes those plastics you're using? I'm sure you've said before but I've been hit in the head a lot...
They’re custom poured, not for sale unfortunately
@@KansasAnglingExperience Party foul bro... Would you be able to say who makes the mold?

@@KansasAnglingExperience Right on. Thanks, man.
I would buy a livescope pole from you
I found out the hard way that shipping would be stupid expensive, not to mention finding a big enough box to accommodate it.
Notice how the lives cope is easier to see in the shadow of you profile.
Yeah, wish there was something I could do about the glare but I do the best I can!
I’ll take one of those mounts if your serious.
