I like how sky put so much more efforts into their F1 intro than F1 themselves
They both look pretentious unlike last year which they had just perfect. On that note This year's Race graphics looks very bad and unreadable from distance.

@@JohnDoe-zj6xf I clearly prefer the new graphics, they look way better. Only issue is with the race control, they put full sentances and it's hard to get what the info is. But apart from that, I'm a bit fan of the new graphics, better than the previous ones for sure
@@JohnDoe-zj6xf I am fine with most stuff except the sector timings colour, those lines are way too thin. The second thing I hate is the car numbers they are showing in the ladder, they are using the respective team designs which is not going well when seen together, looks very chaotic

its a little too fast, but i like it! i like how in all the promotions for F1 they use V10 and V8 sounds lol.
If only they would use them in races again..

Daft Punk made one of the most sensational soundtracks ever with the Tron Legacy. Absolutely fantastic and quite underrated in all honesty.

@@dannymccrae3070 it’s not a cyberpunk reference, it’s a Tron reference, from the way the car is “downloaded” to the song used being from Tron Legacy
When the official F1 drivers sequence went relastic, Sky went the CG and futuristic route. It is a hell lot of work, just not sure it is the best way represent this sport. But if the viewers like it, I guess it does it job.

For anyone who is unsure, this music is a mix of 'Outlands' and 'Outlands Part II' by Daft Punk, from Tron: Legacy
The cinematic parts remind me of the old Sky Sports Premier League intros from 2009, with all the players looking like they're from FIFA or EA produced it with CGI

I’m in love with that final part of the sequence at 0:42 where the Merc Red Bull and Ferrari cross the line in Abu Dhabi and you just hear them scream past with Crofty yelling and Verstappen celebrating in the background…magic.
