Great tutorial. When you say it's not the best stopper knot, is that based on pure aesthetics or functionality? I noted that you say it doesn't look symmetrical. Though would it be just as effective as other stopper knots?
I agree it is not a standard double overhand knot : but I suggest that it is a double overhand bend, rather than a double overhand knot, because the double overhand technique is being used to join two lines together.

For those watching, you can do the double overhand knot with a single strand as well. Mostly used as a stopper knot.
