i also do foundation under facepaint thanks to watching this channel for so long lol. i had too many issues using a brush though, so i've found that getting a beauty blender-type sponge wet, squeezing out the water so it's just damp, and then applying paint that way works really well. especially with the patting motion you use with a beauty blender instead of the painting motion with a brush, it never streaks

i really like how you explained your rationale for what you were doing in this vid, like saying that you didnt remember where the primer was or that you were adding shadow after because you didnt know where the eyes would be. really super clear and helpful
You should do “guess the character” videos. You start doing a character from a movie, a tv show, or video game and we have to figure out what it is as you go

You know what. I've had the same eco tools makeup brushes for like 6 years. They sorta still work and stuff. Mac, Morphe, Jeffree Star, etcetc are phenomenal but have never been tempting. THAT AD, has GOT ME.

Love your work!!!! Always have! After 10 years of body painting I can still to this day say “I hate white paint!” Doesn’t matter if it’s water activated cake or airbrush I just hate working with it. I have however learned that my best friend when applying white is a kabuki brush! You can buff on paint super fast in large areas and NO streaks! It has been my lifesaver when I have to paint multiple people in a short time span.

I love the helpful tips of the white body paint! You should make another video about mixing colors and about blending body paints on top of each other without them mixing and turning into different colors. For instance, red on white without it turning into pink. I always end up mixing them instead of just painting over the base color. That’d be a super helpful video!
Can you try the off brands on Amazon and review them? I'd really like to see how well they do and if anyone can make them work you could💚💛🧡❤💙💜
I doubt that she will do this, just because she is very careful about the paints she uses. Anything off brand is bound to be sketchy, and could cause serious damage.

Nameless oooooo so when I started I bought multiple of brands to see what I liked best !! And the ones I use now are Mehron and Tag body paint! You can buy them through amazon. I suggest this if your impatient and hate waiting for shipping lol.
These paints are water activated paints!
Nameless I use graftobian :] I honestly suggest starting with either Mehron or graftobian. They’re both wonderful brands. I worry when people start with party store products, they get an inaccurate idea of what face paint is actually like, and may not want to continue!

I personally started by buying the thing that was available in store and not a cheap halloween product (for me that was Eulenspiegel). Also that was a palette with small cakes, they really don't last that long and are not that expensive so it was a good place to start. When I got better and some of my colors were near empty I upgraded to a brand I knew would work better (Kryolan Aquacolor) but is also more expensive.
I did have some experience before by being a performer who got painted with that color though :"D (the blue is a bitch to get off if you don't have makeup remover)
So yeah, maybe look after a not that expensive small sized thing to start and then look up what others say about brands and try them out. Also look after what kind of paint you want, water/alcohol activated etc.
There are a lot of helpful videos which show and explain the differences between brands or types of body paint or method of apllication, so just see what looks good to you and then try it ^^
(also, yes in comparison sometimes the smaller sizes are more expensive but if you're not sure if you like or need a thing do not buy big sizes. You likely won't need that much product and you can't really do that much with opened makeup in terms of not throwing it away)

Nameless honestly, practice! :) you can always start with the base primary colors, as well as black and white and mix them!

You don't have to go super expensive but don't go cheap. Find Good body paint will prove itself worth the expense. I buy Mehron Paradise paint from Amazon because I can't afford Graftobian and I'm happy with it. It can be expensive for certain pallets but a little bit goes a long way. Decent brushes are great to have but if you're just playing around you can buy paint brushes with soft bristles from the craft store or grab up a few soft makeup brushes from the dollar store. Make sure they are soft bristles though. I prefer water based paint, never used anything else. Start small with practicing, get your technique down and expand. Have fun!

I've been struggling w my white face paint all week. It's my first time using face paint and unfortunately, it's a cheap grease paint so I struggle more than the average person with better quality face/body paint.
