I’m going off to boot camp to be a cop soon. Recovering from bicep tendonitis for the past several months. The timing of your upload is perfect! you’re helping me get back to normal. Thanks to you I’ll be able to go through boot camp pain free 😎 appreciate you so much doc ❤
Okey. I am a canoe slalom athlete and got biceps tendonitis in may 2023. I started working out with light weights and it got better during the summer and fall. My problem is that my sport requires a lot of fast movements and even if I'm getting better in the gym my long biceps tendon has a hard time adapting to the fast movements in the kayak. I got a relapse of agrovating the tendon a month ago and it got worse again this last weekend. I'm now promising myself by making this comment to do your exercise from now on! I will also comment again as I progress to make updates.
Thank you so much. It was the first time in weeks i felt some relief in my front shoulder pain. I injured it, trying to go deeper in ring dips with arms rotated out. If anyone out there experiencing front deltoid area pain i definitely recommend trying this.
I’m a 67 former triathlete and DIY handyman with both chronic (1 1/2 years) right epicondylitis and right distal bicep tendinitis. Biggest issue is no strength in dominant right arm with max eccentric curl of only 2 pounds .Your pronator teres therapy was pain free but the band supinating curls results in pain in the Inner elbow crease and bicep soreness. Should I hold off on the curls for now or use the lightest tension band and try every other day. Also,Can I rehab the tennis elbow at the same time? Would like to get back to competition and do some Fall painting on my house.
Sorry to hear about your injuries my friend. If pain is on inside of elbow, it may be golfers elbow (or what I like to call pull up elbow). I have videos on that injury. So you can be treating both areas. Good luck!
hi mate thanks for your videos I'm a body builder I fell off my push bike stationery but my shoulder had impact lots of nerve damage one year later I've recovered with phisio but the only problem is my horse shoe tricep can't activate much feels lumps at top of tricep can you help
Does this work for the type of bicep tendinitis where the shoulder pain is triggered by bench press and incline pressing movements? Curls and pulling movement don’t hurt me, but my doctor told me I have inflamed bicep tendons.
Is this exercise in combination with going to the gym, or should arm work actually be skipped, that's a little unclear to me, because i'm the type of person to just work through pain and it typically means end up doing more wrong than right.
Im doing light light bicep curls AND internal and external rotation cable reps(light weight), along with ALOT of stretching. It's mainly in my distal left bicep tendon but I also think I have slight in the proximal tendon AND slight tendonitis in the tricep of the same arm. Again, tons of deep stretching, followed by really light weights for high reps and some massage gunning as well mixed in there. Hoping this helps within a months time or so. My dumb dumb self as a weight lifting rookie did heavy sets till failure on every set, for a year straight without any deload exersizes. Now I know every 4-6 weeks to take a week or two and deload.
@OcraMedHealth thanks Ocra! It's driving me nuts that I can't lift for hypertrophy and can only do little 12.5 lb cable weights 2x20. Even those burn when you have tendonitis, it's crazy how much less stamina the muscle and tendon has during this period. I guess that's why they say you have to work your way back up, cause the tendon is burnt out and literally smokin lol
would you advise people to continue working out in the gym while trying to fix this issue or do you think i should take a break and just do exercises like this?
I usually continue to train however you have to let "pain be your guide". Avoid any exercises that directly aggravate the injury. With that being said, definitely go lighter and higher reps on your upper body training. Good luck!
Dr. just a question how can I make my bicep tendons stronger. like if I do any thing in a supinated grp they just start flaring up. But nothings happens when I am using the hammer and pronated grip.

Thank you for the video. Do you find this helps patients with distal bicep tendonitis?
Yes. Also check out some of my other biceps tendonitis videos that deal with soft tissue therapy and stretches. Good luck!!
interesting and well done.
Thank you!

I just did a video last week on fascial release therapy for the triceps muscle. Perhaps that may be of some help to you. Good luck!
After I recover, should I include exercises to strengthen the rotator cuff and elbow flexion in my training routine?
Yes. Also, I have a full length video on biceps tendinitis exercises and a bunch of shorts demonstrating exercises. Good luck!

Yes it can work for that.
How many times in week and how many sets for this exercise?
Three sets for high reps each day. Good luck!
I've had this for over a year back and forth. Gonna try this exercises. Can I train my back normally meanwhile? Lat pull downs, rows, etc
You can keep training. Just work around any exercises that cause pain. Good luck!
Is this exercise in combination with going to the gym, or should arm work actually be skipped, that's a little unclear to me, because i'm the type of person to just work through pain and it typically means end up doing more wrong than right.
You can go to the gym but avoid any exercises that directly aggravate the injury. Good luck!

How often should this be done? Thanks
Every other day. Good luck!
@@OcraMedHealththanks, and how many reps x sets each day?
@@marcuscrowley6496 High reps (15-20) and 3 sets a day.
Do you have any Tricep tendonitis videos, specifically the long head/lateral head Tricep?
I have bicep and Tricep tendonitis so it’s quite a pain lol.
I have several videos on triceps tendonitis. Good luck!!
Thank u . Great info
Happy to help my friend!!
would you advise people to continue working out in the gym while trying to fix this issue or do you think i should take a break and just do exercises like this?
trying this today by the way, i have had some success previously with curls but havent combined bands and db

@@OcraMedHealth really appreciate your response, thank you doctor
How long should you rest? And do you need complete rest or low intensity I am afraid of losing my level in sports😔
You can workout but just avoid any exercises that directly aggravate your injury. Good luck!
Does it make sense to also work on the rotator cuff?
You always want to keep the rotator cuff strong. I have several videos on exercises for the rotator cuff.
Have you got any exercise for tennis elbow I've had it in both arms for over a year and its getting worse
I have a couple videos on tennis elbow you may want to watch. Good luck!
And if this exercise hurt?
Skip it for now. Maybe concentrate more on soft tissue therapy. I have bicep tendonitis videos on that topic. Good luck!
Dr. just a question how can I make my bicep tendons stronger.
like if I do any thing in a supinated grp they just start flaring up.
But nothings happens when I am using the hammer and pronated grip.
Give this exercise a try: ruclips.net/video/_ygtuvgbadI/видео.html
After a while do we go over 5?
You can if you feel that is way to light. However, I find it's really not necessary.
Will this help dorsal bicep pain? I cant get rid of sharp pain/burning on the elbow crease especially when hands are pronated in a pull up. Thanks doc
I would watch my biceps tendonitis video from a few years ago that goes over fascial release and stretches. That will help that area also. Good luck!
Bingo. You know your stuff
Happy to help my friend!
Tnks 😊
Happy to help!!
