Was waiting for the big man. This was the most impressive entry in the contest because of how outside the box it was. Plus the art portion gave it an excellent earthy color scheme with the metallic green. That said, when I make him I am thinking about doing a version with either Vahki leg parts for the arms or Piraka arms for the legs to save on the torso fund. I still want to use multiple torsos, but 5 is pretty steep. 3 is more manageable.

I personally am a little sad to see less of this series as it is my favorite series you're doing, I found you through Bionicle Retold and stuck around for these reviews as I had been so out of touch with bionicle for so long (I didn't even know there had been G2 until after it had ended). Seeing you cover the various sets has been truly awesome. I understand why you need to change it up, and am at least glad you aren't ending the series. Keep up the awesome work!

You’re schedule is insane, literally have videos set for the next half year, thank you for your hard work!

The Fanon Reviews are the reason I subscribe to your channel, other than your Bionicle collection related videos I don't watch you. I would highly prefer weekly to bi-weekly!

For the spear and shield, Mecra Makuta has a really nice build video which integrates these two items much better than the base MoC. Since the designer has basically barred themselves out of anymore contests due to their lack of care for rules (such as the ones broken with Bomonga that slipped through the tired eyes of TTV), it's probably quite fine to make such changes. Besides, the model isn't what is canon anyways -and neither are the arm connectors-.

I really love this MOC design. It has Metru-Body, but very unique proportion. I think this is one of the coolest Onu-Toa-MOC! ;)

In regards to the schedule changing, do what you gotta do. It's pretty obvious by how well your channel is performing that the general LEGO audience is much larger and than that of Bionicle on RUclips. Just as long as you keep up with semi-regular Bionicle content, I'll keep watching! :)

I love the building techniques on this one, it is so unique compared to the other Toa Hagah yet still fits in quite well. The variations do not bother me, he needs a thicker spear because he has such a bulky body. The shield should've indeed used a Rotuka launcher but that is an easy fix. I also love how his shield is mounted on his arm; such variation has been pretty common in Bionicle and especially in Toa odf Earth as Inika Nuparu is the only Toa Inika with a shoulder-mounted zamor launcher but he still fits in quite well with his team.

Man I just wanted to let you know that the fanon reviews is my favorites series of yours by far. It's what made me subscribe to your channel. I love this content. I am a little disappointed it will be biweekly now but I totally understand and think your explanation makes it a good call.

I had no intentions of building the Toa Hagah, since I figured they would all be pretty samey compared to each other, not to mention compared to the Toa Metru, but Bomonga has blown me away. Between the super cool color scheme, the body proportions, and what seems to be a really fun build, Bomonga seems really awesome and unique, and I think I’ll end up building him as soon as I finish Artakha and find a decent Metallic Green spray paint. Plus the challenge of figuring out how it’s built sounds super fun, considering it’s actually possible compared to something with a ton of inner workings like Artakha over here.

You can tell the person who made the base moc really tried to make the set fit with the team AND work as a set with the gear function. Even without the ball joint arm method, it can easily be modded for just a normal gear function. Awesome work.

I love this build because I think it perfectly represents just how versatile the metru system really is

So now getting the black toa metru torsos are now difficult to get. I guess people might as well start 3D printing these parts. Heck there are many official pieces with official colors that you can't get anymore because everyone bought them all so yeah might start needing to 3D print the parts and hope they're stable enough to be used.

I'll be honest, I kinda wish they would have kept the gold instead of making the Canon color green, I get that it fits his element more than green does I just prefer bomunga with gold personally

I like how this guy took the vertical Whenua meme and made it into Horizontal Whenua!

  • @Friendly_Neigborhood_Astolfo

I have been messing around frequently on this side of youtube and I absolutely love this bomongah build. The metru torsos as arms and legs are so inventive that it gives off the strength aspect of earth toa. What I would change about bomongah I think would be his spear. I would replace the spear tip with one of Hordika Whenua's jackhammer weapon!
