I remember when Rust In Peace came out.. many of us die hard 'deth heads were just acheing for new material. When it came out, many megadeth fans said it was just a rehash of thier 3 prior albums rolled into one and wasn't any good. NOW it's regarded as thier best CD.

Lomenzo is a great bassist, he has more stage presence than Junior did, and he is one of the nicest guys I have seen in music or out of it. He deserves more respect from Megadeth fans.

Best thrash/speed metal band at its peak, for sure! Kills Slayer and Metallica, although I love both bands. Dave Mustaine and Marty Friedman make an amazing team; the agression and technicality of Mustaine's metal riffs with Marty's unique style influenced by exotic scales and melodic control (and his über-solos!) make Rust In Peace such a masterpeice.

I think Mustaine's in a class of his own. He's not the purely conventional kind of thrash metal guy and that spot as a "Big 4" of thrash metal is richly deserved.
Going back a few years ... Dave doesn't have the best vocals (probably more stated as unique) but the "whole" package works for Megadeth. Dave M. has done a lot with Gigantour to promote new heavy metal talent and for that I commend him.

Practice a lot!!! one day you will get there. Took me 2 years to finally nail this song all in 1 piece. I learned pieces here and there until i got good enough to play all the "difficult" (haha) parts! Took me another year to get the solos down. 10 years later and it's quit easy to play. Just keep up the practice!

Saw theese at the NEC in birmingham in 92, along with pantera, havent lstened to anything post countdown, but its nice to look back, love this song.
