That little shower is not for taking shower for your whole body. It is for washing your “downstairs” or helping to keep your toilet seat and surrounding clean.
Wow, this place looks like it lives up to hype. The northern lights on on the bucket list, looks like this might be the place to do it! And free snow tubing, thats great. I think you guys are right, the aura cabins look the best, the windows are placed better.
We agree that seeing the snow fall on the window would be magical! But it is nice that you can defrost the windows for a better view. We need more "I love Finland Dancing" You're on thin ice Jacob!!! Lovely avocado toast!
Yes it is definitely nice to watch the snow fall and then melt it to try to see the lights!! Hahaha be careful for what you wish for ;) Thanks so much for watching friends :)
Bear has a bucket list line for staying in an igloo in Lapland. I will have to check if a glass igloo would count. We are excited to be here in April. Thanks for sharing. This is another fun vlog.
And the next destination would be the Baltic states, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. I recommend doing this when traveling by car. You can see a lot more than you would in bigger cities.
Honestly we think there are a lot better options than Apukka, simply because it is extremely expensive for what you are getting. And the tours are way more expensive there as well. There are a lot more affordable and equally as good options. Hope that helps! :)
Hi, what month is this? We will be going there on March 2024. I am also thinking of staying at Apukka Resort. We will also stay in Santa Village, how did you transfer from Santa Village to Apukka? Asking because we dont have a car going around there. Is there Taxi to go around? Hopefully you can answer my so many questions! Thanks
We went in November! There is a shuttle from Santa Claus Village to Apukka during the high season, I believe March is still considered high season. If not there is plenty of taxis to get! Have a great trip :)
-Yes, the little showers are bide's. Most finnish wc's have ones like that, and apart of just using them as pussy phones, we use them to clean the toilets and sink and often the whole bathtoom too since many wc's here are completely waterproof. Also very handy for washing a baby's butt or filling up a bucket etc. -Haha, I think the little snow sculpture might be somekind of gnome? But not sure xD -The horses are Norwegian Fjord Horses. Love them! Not super common but not rare either in Finland.
This is all such good information! And glad we were right about the bide!! That seems like a handy tool then! Thanks so much for all the information :)
That ice was about 25 cm (10 in.) thick, according to a survey page. Ice as thick as 2-4 in., will stand a person, so you were not in danger. 🙂 Edit: Ofc, better safe than sorry.
€185 for the sauna is outrageous! I'm sure there are public baths in and around Rovaniemi, they are much cheaper and usually offers several types of saunas and a pool area as well. It's probably not appreciated to bring the camera though.
Yes thats what we though that it is very expensive!! We are so thankful we got to do it for free at our last hotel :) Thanks so much for watching "Charlie Brown" ;)
