Definitely LUMIX LX10, it almost the same product with SONY Rx100mV, but way cheaper(1000$-699$=301$)! And something even better, like the touch screen! No doubt, I will spend my money on LX10.

The LX7 was a fine and good compact camera with a fast f1.4 lens, great for video. I tried a lot of cameras but the LX7 was the best in low light. Now we have the LX10/15 as successor of the LX7. Again with F1.4 lens and 1" sensor. I will purchase this camera for sure.

      Sony does have ND-filters and
S-log video. Rolling shutter is also reduced. It is much better then LX10/15. I hoped Panasonic will create LX100 successor but not this time.

The LX7 has also ND filter. ;-) I believe the LX10/15 doesn't. Now I saw info about the Sony RX100 V I was impressed. Now I begin to doubt... what to buy.

Sony have a great problem with your prices, they are losing too much customers by this. Very stupid politic. And thanks for the video!

Sony gimped the RX100 V with no touch screen whats with the 315 pdaf points when you could've just installed touch to focus feature.

The Sony RX100v is a great camera . . . but £1000 in the UK, rather than $1000. It's let down by its lack of time-lapse facility although one is available as an app via Sony Playmemories. The app isn't as straightforward as the bespoke settings of most other cameras but still does the job. The downside is that the purchase and support comes from Sony Playstation, rather than the camera division. Playmemories was broken when I attempted to purchase using both my credit cards and also PayPal. Playstation support were unable to fix this, and instead suggested I purchased Playstation credits from Amazon. These are only available in multiples of £5, so I was forced to pay even more to buy the app
The RX100v is a good camera, but it should have the full functions of cheaper cameras by other brands. Time-lapse is even available on action cams costing $40, or less! And do one should have to waste time wrestling with the Playmemories store and Sony's clunky support.

Sony: better focus point...; 24 fps vs 12 fps; Panasonic: better f/. Stop... F/.1.4 vs f/.1.8; touch screen; better battery; USD. 300 less... I don't know wich is more effective, 5 Axis (Panasonic) or optica stabilization of Sony... Better IQ photos.?
