Enjoying your family vlogs. Just spent 6 days at the Bohol Beach Club and visited Alona Beach yesterday. Enjoyed the peace and calm and nearly deserted Dumaluan beach, where the hotel is located.

Panglao Bohol is wonderful. We were just there from June 18th to July 7th. My wife and I were there for our 8th wedding anniversary. She's from Bohol and I'm a Canadian. We live in Canada. She's been living in Canada now for 4.5 years. I was in Panglao in 2015, 2017, and this year. It's definitely changed since the pandemic but that's to be expected. We'll be going back to Bohol in 2025 for our tenth wedding anniversary. I'm glad you went to Panglao and I'm sure you loved the new beautiful airport there. My name is Bob and my wife is Marechil. I love it there! I haven't been to Bohol since 2009. I was still married at the time and we stayed at the Lost Horizon. Watching this video I have the impression that prices in Bohol are considerably higher than in Ormoc. I hope your family can soon come over from England and you can spend a wonderful time together!
Thank you my friend. Prices here I would say are higher in tourist locations but everywhere else about the same. We hope my family can join us here at least once. It’s not easy due to health, money and timings.

We were there in 2006 at Alona Beach Resort, just a bit further down from where you were on the beach. Good memories of dining on the beach. Very relaxed place. We will visit again in a few years when we are spending more time in the phils. Thanks for showing the changes there and how it has developed over the years.

We stayed at Amarela Resort in 2017(?). Beautiful resort, calm, peaceful. A day trip to Alona Beach was one of the activities we did because all the travel sites said it was a must. It was not as impressive as it was hyped to be. I imagine it can be even more crowded now with the new airport and all the development built since 2017.
You are right my friend. It has its charm however it’s not quiet anymore. There are a few nearby beaches still quite unknown 😊

Great to see Panglao and Bohol on your blog. Looks prettyuch the same as I remember it from 9 years ago. My wife is Filipina and we just got back from a month with her family in Ilocos Sur. Lots of great places to visit in that area: Baguio city, Vigan city and if you like beaches there is a white sand beach in San Esteban with no tourists and popular surf place called San Juan in La Union

Change is to be expected. From what I've seen from a RUclipsr who specialises in Bohol videos there have been a large number of resorts opening up on the island.
There are more resorts now which bring more tourists my friend. The place is still as beautiful as ever. It was nice but surprisingly to see it so busy there. Before the beach by the Henann Resort was quiet. It shows how many people love travelling to the Philippines and well known tourist spots 😊
My family emigrated to the US in 1974. Went to school, grew up and made good friends here. Not until 2017 that I finally came back. Even saw our old house that we lived on as a kid in mid-1960 till we left in ‘70s. I love Philippines so much I bought my own place in modern Manila. Will also plan to get a place in the province. I took trike on the other side of Alona to buy some items from Badjao vendors. I gave one nice vendor more money than what it worth, in exchange he took me back on his motorbike back to Alona where we stayed. I bought three balut- ate them all and Calamay -ate one container and planned to take it back to Manila. At airport we were told we couldn’t bring it. So I gave the sealed container to the nice airport worker lady.

When your family from UK come, try to bring them to Palawan, do an Island hopping in El Nido, shop at the cheapest pearl in Puerto Princesa, you can also visit the clearest water in Coron.
I lived on Alona Beach in 2007. Met a beautiful Cebuana in a bikini and my life changed forever. I miss Panglao. Magical place.

So much has changed since my first visit to Panglao Island in 1994. My most recent visit was 2019, visiting friends who live on the island. I am in Canada now, but heading back to the Philippines at the end of August. Adam, I have never tried Airbnb personally, but I am tempted, as there appears to be some really good condo deals with excellent guest experience ratings in large cities like Cebu city. Have you ever used that service ?
That’s awesome my friend! Have a safe trip and a great time. If you are in Leyte at any point look us up. We haven’t used Airbnb but have heard it’s pretty good and reliable. The reviews are generally the only indication of whether it’s genuine or not. I think our friend Paul booked Airbnb in Ormoc and all was good 😊

i remember before 2014 alona beach was crowded and shop was almost at the beach. good thing they made the rehabilitation of the place.

My daughter and family migrated to England in 2005 when her husband was offered a lucrative IT-related job. They have been there ever since; been doing well and are now Brit citizens. They come visit from time to time and gone to Boracay and Palawan on those visits. Panglao, Bohol could be an itenerary some time in the future. I and my wife have visited them in England four times the past 18 years.
Bohol would be perfect for a family vacation. So much to see and do my friend 😊

hello from california usa i hope the new airport in tacloban will have flights to bohol when i lived in burauen leyte with my ex fiance we had to travel to ormoc city then take supercat over to cebu then take ferry over to bohol
