I have heard Lemon Grass is a Snake deterrent. Tanglad-Lemon Grass could be of great help if you could plant it around your house.. the vacant lot next to your house is a breading ground. Ultimately it will change the moment it can be occupied.

I would put electric fence around the property. The same used for cattle. It can be connected to any metal fence and isolated by hooks to concrete. Unless they can dig under the fence, it will keep them away.

Lemon Grass, oregano.....etc... screw that! Build a moat, a 20-foot moat completely around the house, then electrify 10kW the soapy, salty water with solar power and battery backup. Finally, on the inner side of the moat build a snake trap (landscape fence and a crab-like trap at the end). Inside the crab-like trap, place a manually operated 20kW electric door- mat. On your person, carry a machete.
They get inside septic systems.. think about that for a second or two...

Man, that would even scare me as a prior snake owner. Don’t want to sound like a smart ass, but please use a longer broom when checking next time. Strike distance from snakes might surprise you and you don’t want the risk of finding out on the spot. The cats are brave for sure, but also know their reflexes are faster than the snake’s strike. Actually really cool to look up on RUclips, there are a lot of slowmo’s on cats reflexing on snake strikes. Be safe there🙏🏻

Another thing that you have to be careful not to touch the head of that dead snake especially if it's a Cobra. It can still kill a human being just by touching the fangs that may puncture your fingers. It can still secrete a venom. I've watched a vlog about that. Snakes love to stay under a pile of dirt/debris. If you see a shed snake skin that means it's hiding somewhere within your premises. Stay safe. Call a snake rescue team like Cobra Team; Cobra King, Rex Tuklaw, etc.

Snake often build nest under your wood pile. It is because it provides shade, dark like dents and easy to sneak out at night to hunt for rodents. Be careful when you stand by and cooking, worse case when you just pull out a piece of wood for stove burning a strike will follow. JMHO.

Snakes don't like the smell of some plants, like oregano. Try to research other plants that will prevent snakes from living in your garden.

Snakes is afraid of man. If it sees you, it will run away. The snake intruded to your house looking for foods. The presence of rats lured the snake to come to your area. Don't be afraid, as long as there are cats in your area, it will protect you from the snake.

If you see any snakes running away….. you gotta catch it. That will be the first snake to ever “run away”. Very valuable. 😝

Cobras are at the top of the food chain, they will not back down. I’ve seen too many people die from these guys. These ones in particular can spit venom in your eyes and then bite you. Do not take them lightly.

OMG . I hate snakes except rat snakes
A couple of quick questions and I'm asking you because I believe you guys are really honest. Were you ever able to find "regular" hot dogs and have you ever seen "regular" ground coffee in the stores?
    Thanks and God bless.

Good morning my friend. We actually did find “proper” sausages but not hot dogs. There is a line in SM which appears to be European but we haven’t tried them yet. We have found again SM selling proper ground coffee from South America. Have a great day 😊

@@AdamandJanesLifestyle Great News .. thanks. Sounds like the sausages might be bratwurst .. Brats for short .. and that's a good thing. Coffee from South America sounds intriguing .. Good all the way around.

That was always my biggest fear when we were in our house in Luna before. They killed a few cobras there, but fortunately never when we were there. I think I would have broken an Olympic record running back inside. Please stay alert when you're working in the garden.

Hello! Let your dogs in the back yard. Snakes will stay away. We haven't seen one and we have a lot next to us with 4 feet vines and plants. Across the road they have had them and they don't have a dog.

Is the cat after the cobra or the same thing the cobra was hunting like a mouse or even Homer?
    Stay safe guys. 🙏🏻

It 100% was after the cobra my friend. It followed the exact same path the cobra took but you might be right and the cobra was following Homer. My guess is the cat is after the cobra. He is often muddy and comes and goes. He hunts all sorts! God bless you my friend 😊
