  • Talk from a retreat with Adyashanti.
Adyashanti, author of Falling into Grace, True Meditation, and The End of Your World, is an American-born spiritual teacher devoted to serving the awakening of all beings. His teachings are an open invitation to stop, inquire, and recognize what is true and liberating at the core of all existence.
Asked to teach in 1996 by his Zen teacher of 14 years, Adyashanti offers teachings that are free of any tradition or ideology. "The Truth I point to is not confined within any religious point of view, belief system, or doctrine, but is open to all and found within all." Based in California, Adyashanti lives with his wife, Mukti, Associate Teacher of Open Gate Sangha. He teaches throughout North America and Europe, offering satsangs, weekend intensives, silent retreats, and a live internet radio broadcast.
    "Adyashanti" means primordial peace.

The questioner I think is Michael a Rodriguez in his seeking days. He himself is now an awakened spiritual teacher.

Gads, I would like to see something clearly. I cried listening to this at the start. I am in Kundalini Awakening...no diagnosis just information from my energy workers and therapists. This is my second wave...the first wave lasted 5 years....this wave has lasted 3 years going on 4 so far. I am 81....I am finding this experience so intense that often I just want to not live...but the truth is I don't want to die...I just want the pain and suffering to go away. I have asked for help in surrendering...tried to surrender...and I am finding it so very difficult. So I am not laughing at the absurdity of my belief systems...I don't think it's funny at all. I appreciate Adya and would really love to have a session with him. HOwever, I think I have always looked to something or someone outside of myself to guide me and "fix" me. I just finished yin yoga and I want to get some energy up to take my pups to the ocean. Even though it is threatening rain going on a walk is the hightlight of our lives. Thanks for posting. Namaste'

The great pointer is how ridiculously easy and simple it is. If one contemplates that and simply notices what kind of responses that generates, regardless of your spiritual practice or lack thereof, it can possibly shine out through the trance layers of thoughts and the constructed ego structure. In that sense, it shines from within as itself to without as itself. Where then, is the mediator of reality?

Ernest Weber easy and hard are relative notions it is however like you said the Solution is simple.
It's only easier on yourself if you spontaneously cease to clinging to preferences.
The more you cling the more difficult it appears to be. The idea of difficulty is a projection of the immidatly here and now ignoring egoic mind.
It's anther phantom on the cave wall coming from the root phantom, the self taken as real.
