Kind of funny how Tailgate actually thought he was going to vanish. How he actually thought he was vanishing. I mean, it’s also sweet that the two finally confessed to each other and kind of tragic they thought Tailgate was already dead and would vanished, but man would that be funny irl. You think the bitter end has finally come for you and to your surprise, you’re still kicking.

I honestly didn't think Whirl was capable of showing tact or sympathy, and the way he reacted to Cyclonus and Tailgate getting their moment interrupted made me think the guy would start shooting if someone ruined this for them.

It takes a lot… and I mean A LOOOT… to get me addicted to a ship or couple, but every once in a while… one that I don’t see coming comes along & gets me hooked immediately.
The Tailgate voice is pretty good, somewhat androgynous. The Cyclonus was fine on a base level, but could've enunciated more strongly/dramatically. Granted that i'm used to the Team Train Wreck voice for Cyclonus which has coloured my expectations for how he should sound. :P Granted that at least you DID dub this. I'd never be able to as it would just feel awkward and uncomfortable to record all those lines AND then post them to the internet. Performance anxiety and all that i guess... Still, i liked the use of Undertale music. Oh wait, there's more! (Hello! 11 minute video!) Rodimus and Magnus sound good but as for Drift... I've personally always found it hard to find a voice for him in my head... How can you have something Japanese-like/sounding without it seeming like a racial stereotype? Your Drift kinda sounds Japanese-y but it keeps sounding like Jimmy from South Park to me... Ratchet is TF Animated inspired, as are most dubs of him. Makes sense. The ringtone is the Codec ring from Metal Gear Solid! XD Zelda reference, nice! And the Whirl voice is pretty good! Eh, could've used an effect on the voices for when they're on the phone... Okay, I take back my criticism on the Cyclonus voice for that fading away scene. The snippets of Rung and Brainstorm were brief but good. Overall; great work ma dude!👍
Ok I'm going to go in depth about the voices as I've been wanting to talk about the process behind them I couldn't voice Tailgate myself as whenever I did I sounded like Porky Pig having a stroke so I enlisted the help of the amazing H0ldMyBeard_VO to voice Tailgate. I had always envisioned Tailgate to have a somewhat ambiguous voice in terms of gender (even though he is male) For Cyclonus, I was originally going to give him a Spanish accent as inspired by AudioKnightsTheatre, though I opted for a voice that I could take far with the emotion in the end, which worked VERY well during Tailgate's "death" Magnus was vert cut and dry, so there's not much to say. I DO however want to work on a different voice for future dubs. Most likely inspired by his G1 iteration as that's my personal favorite. Rodimus was someone who I immediately had an idea of what I wanted. I had read that he was written with a slight British accent (the validity of that fact is up in the air) but I still employed it anyways whilst keeping his arrogance. Ratchet was someone I was worried about as his voices are some of the hardest for me to pull off. This is why I went with his TFA voice rather than his TFP voice (The voice I initially wanted). Thankfully, it worked out. Whirl is just a blast. I love playing characters that are unhinged, so Whirl's voice and delivery came naturally. Now Drift was actually really tricky and easily my weakest voice. I initially wanted to go for something akin to his Bayverse incarnation mixed with Takeo from Black Ops Zombies, though I thought it was too stereotypical. Because of this I turned to AudioKnights again and tried to mimic what they did. While it worked, he sounded too much like Rodimus to me so I'll be revisiting Drift EXTENSIVELY for later dubs. Rung and Brainstorm will get more proper voices in later dubs. Since they only had 1 line each I gave them quick, but fitting voices that will be revisited later on. Then there's the little things that I'm glad people caught (The MGS Codecs, the Zelda reference, etc) All of which I put in just for the fun of and am happy that others enjoyed as well. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and be sure to be on the lookout for more in the future!
@@KaioVA I have a head-canon where Tailgate just IS female but due to her/him being rather young in personality/experience; s/he's essentially "prepubescent" and thus not "developed" like the "adult" females. (Though maybe with rather large thighs like Tailgate kinda has in the actual comics) Giving Cyclonus an accent an accent makes sense, since he canonically has one, though i forget which city it was... Tetrahex i think..? Magnus is someone i've found difficult to voice as i can't emulate any of his voices. (G1, RID, Animated & Prime) I always end up doing a generic deep voice. Rodimus being Bri'ish makes sense as he's kinda written that way, at least in the specific words he uses in dialogue. (Like saying Rubbish instead of Garbage) Animated Ratchet fits better for his IDW iteration as he's a cranky bot AND he's meant to be the G1 Ratchet, who had a grouchy voice in the original cartoon. Whirl is a well-written character who's totally mental, so of course he's fun to voice. I already mentioned how Drift is hard to voice. Having quick placeholder voices for the one-line characters makes sense. Nightbeat is another character i've found tricky to pin down... He was apparently written with Benedict Cumberbatch's version of Sherlock in mind. The voice i gave him is a deep Twilight Zone-ish voice that sounds like every sentence ends with a conspiracy theorist-like question mark.
