Ok since everyone is commenting on what happened to Aqua's mother, and how the hair is different colors, etc, here are your answers. Trigger Warning, mention of suicide.
The beginning of the story starts when Aqua is 4 years old, and ends when she's 21.
Here are the versions of her:
Beginning: 4 years old
After the 4 year time skip: 8 years old
After the 5 year time skip: 13 years old
After the 8 year time skip: 21 years old
A few years after Camille and Damian (Aqua's parents), started fighting, Camille took her life. She couldn't deal with it anymore, as Damian threatened to hurt or even kill Aqua if Camille tried to report him. Damian had been cheating on Camille with Emily's mother, Lilac, for over a year at the point. Solaris's family took Aqua in after they found out what went on at her home. After 5 years when Aqua is 13, she comes across Damion and his new family. He tries to start over, blah blah blah, story continues.
Yes, I am aware that that ending was a bit stupid. I'm planning on making a part two, or a remake of this with a different ending, you guys tell me which one you want. So now, here are your FAQ's.
-Why are Camille, Aqua and Damian's hair colors different?
Aqua is a demon wolf. She got her wolf features from Damian, and the demon ones just randomly came. Camille's hair was once blue, but she had it permanently dyed before Aqua was born, and therefore Aqua took on that blue hair.
-How are Emily and Lilac's animal features different?
Yes, Emily's mother, Lilac is a bear, and Emily herself is a raccoon. Lilac's ex, Hunter, was a raccoon, which is where Emily gets her features from.
-What happened to Camille (Aqua's mom)?
Camille took her own life, which is explained in an earlier paragraph.
