So nice. Thanks for your video. We are thinking a 3 days cruise with Celestyal Crystal. It will stop by Patmos Island. I was wondering, is 5hrs in Patmos Island good enough to go to see John's cave? How far is the cave from the ship porting dock?
You can easily see John's Cave. I think it's less than a 20 minute drive straight there from the port. And it doesn't take too long to experience. You could even have time to make a stop at both the monastery and the Cave of the Revelation. Have a wonderful time. Thanks for watching.
@@InTheLoopTravel Wow, Thank you for your quick response. I was about to book through their website, someone suggested that we use an agent. Is that necessary or it is better to use an agent?
we actually considered sailing on this ship last year, in the summer of '20 ... when it looked as if it was among the only ships that would be cruising in the midst of corona - then the company suddenly cancelled everything // the ships seems a blast from the past, but the pool seems to have been remodeled quite recent, no ? some other interior spaces seem renovated as well, as they didn't even have time to unpack the fitness equipment (just kidding) - check out info on wikipedia, if you want to see just how many transformations this ship has undergone
considering that Celebrity has made ever more changes to the upcoming Apex itinerary (no Israel, no Limassol, no going out on one's own in Mykonos) ... we are seriously considering cancelling that trip and doing this Celestyal Crystal instead - and yes I know there's a big differende between these two ship - nevertheless it would be good to have a full and objective evaluation of your week on Celestyal, so ...
The itinerary is awesome. They also are adjusting stops, too. I was supposed to go to Turkey but that was called off. The ship is old and uninteresting. Entertainment is below average. Food is OK. Service is hit and miss. It's a great vessel to affordably take you around the islands.
I'm from Australia and I was booked on Celestyal Crystal last June but obviously that was cancelled. I have a future cruise credit so I'm hoping Australia open it's boarders early next year. Are mask mandatory indoors? Do they allow unvaccinated passengers to travel? Were you tested daily?
Good visual tour but no information. What is Celestyal Cruises.? What can one expect compared to other cruises? Patmos....went to 2 monestaries..no quick explanation of the significance. Boring video.
Beautiful!!! Old ships but these cruises are more port/culture/history oriented than entertainment on a floating resort. Love it.

@@tabitha72 Personally, I would try to arrange a nice independent tour. It would be more intimate and likely less expensive.
@@InTheLoopTravel Perfect! That is what I always prefer. Appreciate your kind response.

Is the tour of Athens (Acropolis) part of what you paid for the cruise? Or was it personal expense on your part?
Hi. Thanks so much for watching. We arrived a day early in Athens and did our own thing.
Happy travels.
Hi there.
Did u know when Celestyal Cruise sail again ?
Hi. The next cruise is March 14, 2022

I hope you can travel soon, as well. Masks are mandatory. No vaccine required. Tests pre-embarkation and prior to disembarking.
Cost of the cruise aside, basically same itinerary, which would you choose Celestyal or Celebrity?
I would pick Celebrity. Especially, if on Edge or Apex.
It the Infinity. Thanks
@@rogdean5101 We like Infinity. Cruises Panama Canal on this ship. It's fabulous. Not too big
