But sometimes singleness comes from a generational curse that won't let the women or men in a family get married. And they start getting married after the curse is broken.
1 Month 25 days, we were married by the Justice of the Peace. God told me with a Budweiser in my hand; when she walked in: "There's your Wife" she got her beer and left. 2- weeks later we met face to face, 1 Month 25 days later we were Married. 34 Years later I love my Godly Gift more then Life itself. (I/We Heard God)
When sis said she dated a pastor who wouldn't even pray over the food, I felt that in my soul. Similar dating experiences, and so very grateful I didn't get trapped with someone with biblical knowledge, rather than biblical love and godly character. My husband, who is also a minister, embodies this and was worth the wait.
I appreciate Anthony and Laterras for being open and transparent about the struggle with sexual purity as Christians (in Anthony’s case as a pastor). I’ve found this area to be one of the hardest to surrender to God. We will give our money, time and resources to God and live in sexual sin (and justify it too). I struggled with this for many years and when the Lord convicted me, I chose to leave the ministry and live in sin than to continue to defile His pulpit. It took many years to return to church. The conviction just got stronger and stronger with time. Honestly, I don’t think I ever would have made the choice to surrender in this area of my life. My boyfriend did though. He woke up one day and said he can’t keep doing this anymore, sinning and asking God for forgiveness knowing he will do it again. He felt he was taking God’s mercy for granted. We abstained from then on and got married ~2 years later.
That good being transparent but get under control. Don't wanna be promoting wilfully sin n think okay. Some of us know tooooooo much. We all struggle cause some don't make it to hv chance repenting
Anthony’s comments may not be popular but they are real. I can hear his growth in his answers. This was very important and needed dialogue…especially in the church. Each panelist gave insightful commentary. Great job to all!!
@@kellyjordan84 no I felt this strongly! I love men and I want all of them to feel safe and express themselves. I just felt he kept bringing up things that weren’t moving us forward.
I like how Anthony stood on his principles and values. I feel like women get praised for having standards, but men gets criticized when they have standards. Kudos to AO to sticking to what he believes in.
In Agreement with Dr. Dharius, God’s Word has helped me to understand that Not Only is Singleness Not a Curse, but MARRIAGE is Not a PROMISE nor will Everyone be BLessed to be Married.
Absolutely LOVED the conversation and various perspectives. Anthony O'Neal stood out to me as a Superstar because he spoke the 'Real Deal' to both men and women without biting his tongue! Unfortunately, some of the women in the audience were not willing to LISTEN. I heard him loud and clear in reference to 'Talking Too Much' and 'Getting our Finances in order first. Excellent Podcast!
That’s the truth! I had two guys try to shoot their shot but married another lady and the other started dating another lady. I never spoke a word about going out with either one. This is great advice for the ladies from a male perspective.
So true. It's like single people don't have a place in the churches or they don't exist. Somehow, i even think that churches believe that single people are evil. May God help us all.
This conversation just proves us singles are so full of ourselves and covenanting others relationship and it only gets worse as we age…also there’s not a one way fit all. even in the word of God every couple was different but there morals/ faith are what lined up in the beginning and end!!! We spend sooo much time trying to make our relationships match another persons instead of embracing your own story with the wisdom/ grace God give for your love story !
I agree with what Anthony said for this applies outside of church as well…just because a man isn’t into you or vice versa doesn’t mean we have to tear them down, you or the person might not might not possess the qualities you/they are looking for. As both the husbands on stage said they knew right away that their wives were the one…so don’t hate on others because your feelings are hurt
imho i believe he was talking about people who are sincerely seeking a mate / spouse , not just playing games so to speak. That said i definitely agree with yiur point, i attend a church of about 800 members and for that reason i have only went on a couple dates with one woman from my church, by the 3rd date I could tell we definitely were not aligned and unless God speak with all certainty, i have no plans on asking anyone else out because i don’t want to come off as a pentecostal playboy
Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Women usually want to be with men that make us feel safe. He sounds unhealed, scorned, negative and resentful because he's not ready. Prayers up for him on his journey 🙏🏾.
This was an overall great panel. Praying that Anthony and Laterrias are delivered from sexual immorality. I truly enjoy Pastor Dharius whenever he speaks. He brings a level of wisdom and humility that I appreciate and can see why Shameka is able to thrive vocationally because her husband isn’t domineering or insecure about her strength and intelligence.

I really enjoyed the transparency of the panel... 👌🏾Pastor & 1st Lady, If you haven't already can you PLEASE record & start posting the "Marriage Boot Camp" & "Made Men Basic Training" on your RUclips page for those of us out of state who need THIS type of teaching??? PLEEEEEEASE! 🙏🏾
I find it strange that "Christian" men and women wanting to get married but are choosing not to flee fornication. One of the fruits of the spirit is self-control (in every area of our lives) but this one always gets missed in dating discussions. Test every spirit with righteous judgement! I understand that God is still working on us all but God will not be mocked. God is not going give you a godly wife/husband whilst you're in sin! Why would you be faithful to your wife/husband if you cannot be faithful to God? He has given us the tools to kill our flesh in every area that we struggle in through repentance, prayer and fasting from food. I believe this is clearly a subject that needs to be taught on in churches, we are bringing curses on ourselves and generations because we lack understanding. We are definitely sending the wrong message to thousands of people. God bless!
“Singleness is not a curse and marriage isn’t a right.” Love this.

But sometimes singleness comes from a generational curse that won't let the women or men in a family get married. And they start getting married after the curse is broken.

" We are figuring out marriage so much, no one is getting married" That's a nugget right there. Anything worth having is worth the risk.
I agree. It is to many out here talking about what marriage is, especially the married folks who seem to be unhappy, until no one wants to marry.
Because God isn't in.... People are in control not God

If you don’t want that reputation, don’t try to holler at everybody. Be selective in your selections.
Right! It becomes a question of sincerity if a man is trying to talk to multiple women. It seems like he’s just trying to see who’s gonna bite.

This was tooo good!! Thank you for sharing with us that couldn’t attend the live show!
I am in CA & a girlfriend of mine sent me a link to this video.
God bless!
Wow amazing preach. Flee from sexual sin, you don't want to get a spirit husband and spirit wife. Lord have mercy on your soul.
💯🤌🏽
