But sometimes singleness comes from a generational curse that won't let the women or men in a family get married. And they start getting married after the curse is broken.
I appreciate Anthony and Laterras for being open and transparent about the struggle with sexual purity as Christians (in Anthony’s case as a pastor). I’ve found this area to be one of the hardest to surrender to God. We will give our money, time and resources to God and live in sexual sin (and justify it too). I struggled with this for many years and when the Lord convicted me, I chose to leave the ministry and live in sin than to continue to defile His pulpit. It took many years to return to church. The conviction just got stronger and stronger with time. Honestly, I don’t think I ever would have made the choice to surrender in this area of my life. My boyfriend did though. He woke up one day and said he can’t keep doing this anymore, sinning and asking God for forgiveness knowing he will do it again. He felt he was taking God’s mercy for granted. We abstained from then on and got married ~2 years later.
When sis said she dated a pastor who wouldn't even pray over the food, I felt that in my soul. Similar dating experiences, and so very grateful I didn't get trapped with someone with biblical knowledge, rather than biblical love and godly character. My husband, who is also a minister, embodies this and was worth the wait.
Anthony’s comments may not be popular but they are real. I can hear his growth in his answers. This was very important and needed dialogue…especially in the church. Each panelist gave insightful commentary. Great job to all!!

That said i definitely agree with yiur point, i attend a church of about 800 members and for that reason i have only went on a couple dates with one woman from my church, by the 3rd date I could tell we definitely were not aligned and unless God speak with all certainty, i have no plans on asking anyone else out because i don’t want to come off as a pentecostal playboy

That’s the truth! I had two guys try to shoot their shot but married another lady and the other started dating another lady. I never spoke a word about going out with either one. This is great advice for the ladies from a male perspective.
I agree with what Anthony said for this applies outside of church as well…just because a man isn’t into you or vice versa doesn’t mean we have to tear them down, you or the person might not might not possess the qualities you/they are looking for. As both the husbands on stage said they knew right away that their wives were the one…so don’t hate on others because your feelings are hurt
Attended this podcast event and sensed these were the clear highlights or strong points to ponder: 👉 Anthony made some major observations: (A) Why are the Single people positioned to sit in the back rows of a Singles Panel event? [which I think was a subliminal indication about how our society/Church Inc. pedestalizes marriage/married people]; (B) Men are afraid to approach women at church because there's a known probability that women will talk about them if it doesn't work out. 👉Laterras made a great point about how our generation has become so "intelligent" about marriage and yet have complicated the runway to it. 👉 Amber made an extremely great point of not having a plan for herself in her younger years. 👉The Daniels', generally speaking, don't advise getting married in your early 20s because of a lack of self-awareness and relational IQ. 👉 Mrs. Daniels shot her shot to Dharius (unashamedly) 👉 Pastor Dharius encouraged singles to do the practical & remaining aware of the God factor. 👉 Pastor Shameka made a huge encouragement for women to know who they are and what they want (i.e. being emotionally intelligent and change in preferences/values) 👉An interesting exchange about male believers being willing to be abstinent 👉Navigating the difference between vetting a man when a woman doesn't tell him what she wants versus telling him exactly how to love you and giving him a chance to love you well Overall, I really felt like the transparency between Laterras, Anthony, and Dharius really carried the podcast. The thing I find to be unique about Dharius' leadership style is how much he seemingly chooses non-dogmatic, super nuanced answers for those in the audience who are sincerely seeking advice. Dope.
This conversation just proves us singles are so full of ourselves and covenanting others relationship and it only gets worse as we age…also there’s not a one way fit all. even in the word of God every couple was different but there morals/ faith are what lined up in the beginning and end!!! We spend sooo much time trying to make our relationships match another persons instead of embracing your own story with the wisdom/ grace God give for your love story !
Anytime the finaces are a problem in the beginning of the relationship, 9/10 it will be the same way once you become one if there is no financial education.

I find it strange that "Christian" men and women wanting to get married but are choosing not to flee fornication. One of the fruits of the spirit is self-control (in every area of our lives) but this one always gets missed in dating discussions. Test every spirit with righteous judgement! I understand that God is still working on us all but God will not be mocked. God is not going give you a godly wife/husband whilst you're in sin! Why would you be faithful to your wife/husband if you cannot be faithful to God? He has given us the tools to kill our flesh in every area that we struggle in through repentance, prayer and fasting from food. I believe this is clearly a subject that needs to be taught on in churches, we are bringing curses on ourselves and generations because we lack understanding. We are definitely sending the wrong message to thousands of people. God bless!

Listening to this, we have to be careful not to fall too, too much into sexual sin. I did but it is what my daughter's dad said to me: "we need to stop, because I don't want to make you keep sining because of you faith. He was not saved then. Today I am 16 years celebrate and determined to stay so until such time. Who's to know whether God will bless me with a husband or want to keep me to Himself, hey, I am OK with either because I love my Lord so very much and pray I will never 'fall off the wagon' again. We all need prayer especially where sexual sin is concerned. This is where the enemy brings in lust etc hoping we will 'fall.'

I believe getting a word from God is the most important component but I don’t think it’s that simple. So many people have had a word from GOD on marriage and still struggled because they didn’t do the work before. Single problems become marriage problems so if people choose to see people in different seasons and meet their family and take certain steps even after getting a word from God I believe that’s perfectly fine. God isn’t in a rush and sometimes God will give you a word before it’s time it all depends on Gods plan for that couple.
Dear Ladies, I can almost 98% guarantee that if you end up a consensual casualty/choice of Anthony's or LaTerras's Celabacy journey (when they fall off as they say)... I think this podcast is so much needed! The Church tends to 'glorify' marriage and not focus on the singles enough. By the way, I was married for 20 years. I've been on both sides of the fence. God made women emotional and men physical. I'm talking about sold out Christians. I'm not talking about those Christians who 'missionary date'. My observation and belief is when a woman glorifies marriage more than their relationship than the Godhead (God, Jesus and Holy Spirit), they tend to get buggered up!!! What do I mean by buggered up. A woman lets her guard down, compromise her relationship with the Godhead, purity, character, etc. A man can discern and see a 'desperate' woman. I've seen too many women fall for the deception. A man will say that God showed me that you're my wife and they, over time, give the man wife benefits. You've given this man your body, mind, keys to your residence, etc. Whew!!! I straight up and tell those wanna be's that I'm not foo foo the fool! I've had men and women come after me. Yeah, that's real and the truth! Women, we have to do better. The most important thing in your life is the Godhead first and foremost. I see too many women running after men, especially those who are widows. They go after marries ones too. They say "the Lord told me that so and so was my husband". A woman told me that before. I said 'girl, you're listening to the devil and need deliverance". I don't have time for mess!! I use my spiritual gifts, as well as common sense. Sistas, you can do it!!! I thank God for all of the vessels that God used for this podcast!

That I can't have him until I fully surrender to the Lord because He is all that I need. He told me I'd idolize my husband and He's not having that. Yes, Lord! I completely understand. It’s different from back in the days I agree with Shameka whole heartedly because they way the economy has changed those who are like Shameka we barely keeping our heads up and we single doing it working 3 or 4 jobs to make ends meet, but some woman (some) have been called to break generational cycles and curses and I agree with Anthony I think that’s his name (blue shirt) this generation make hard for those who hustle to do what Shameka spoke of and the men always choosing those women we over looked cuz we hustling and we in the house cuz we don’t have time for games and that’s why he said why you 30 plus and can’t pay your rent.

First off, the Daniels look Amazing!! I absolutely LOVE this collaboration! Pastor Daniels is one of my favorite pastors and thought leaders to listen to. He and the Mrs. represent Mississippi so well ! Of course I’m born and bred from The Sip😉! Good conversation with deep thinkers … I’m all ears 👂🏽!
I truly believe in the God factor the that Pastor Daniels talked about when he said he can set up a serendipitous meet up between you and your future spouse. Of course we need to be in movement as well. I can’t wait to meet my future hubby 🎉
This was such a helpful and healing episode. This healing journey will remain until the Lord returns. I am so thankful your obedience allows for us, viewers, to hear and see how God presents himself in marriage and SINGLENESS. Every perspective was needed as it displays how non-conforming God is…we must stop placing God in a box. This was another good one!!

This whole episode was amazing because even at 31 I’m learning how to save money and figure out what else I can do …. I also desire to be with a man who has that discipline that can help me get to that position… not looking to bum off …instead …to meet me where I’m weak and vice versa
I find it strange that "Christian" men and women wanting to get married but are choosing not to flee fornication. One of the fruits of the spirit is self-control (in every area of our lives) but this one always gets missed in dating discussions. Test every spirit with righteous judgement! I understand that God is still working on us all but God will not be mocked. God is not going give you a godly wife/husband whilst you're in sin! Why would you be faithful to your wife/husband if you cannot be faithful to God? He has given us the tools to kill our flesh in every area that we struggle in through repentance, prayer and fasting from food. I believe this is clearly a subject that needs to be taught on in churches, we are bringing curses on ourselves and generations because we lack understanding. We are definitely sending the wrong message to thousands of people. God bless!

Listening to this, we have to be careful not to fall too, too much into sexual sin. I did but it is what my daughter's dad said to me: "we need to stop, because I don't want to make you keep sining because of you faith. He was not saved then. Today I am 16 years celebrate and determined to stay so until such time. Who's to know whether God will bless me with a husband or want to keep me to Himself, hey, I am OK with either because I love my Lord so very much and pray I will never 'fall off the wagon' again.
We all need prayer especially where sexual sin is concerned. This is where the enemy brings in lust etc hoping we will 'fall.'
God has a plan for me each time I see how God is using you, yes Lord I will say yes

Absolutely, listening to our intuition and seeking guidance from a higher power can lead us in the right direction.
Period!!! If God says this is your spouse, it doesn’t matter if it’s been 2 months! He has graced you for each other and will give the tools to navigate the different seasons
I believe getting a word from God is the most important component but I don’t think it’s that simple. So many people have had a word from GOD on marriage and still struggled because they didn’t do the work before. Single problems become marriage problems so if people choose to see people in different seasons and meet their family and take certain steps even after getting a word from God I believe that’s perfectly fine. God isn’t in a rush and sometimes God will give you a word before it’s time it all depends on Gods plan for that couple.

Dear Ladies, I can almost 98% guarantee that if you end up a consensual casualty/choice of Anthony's or LaTerras's Celabacy journey (when they fall off as they say)... Part of GOD's heart is focusing, minding, and disciplining/chastening our Libido...period! I think this podcast is so much needed! The Church tends to 'glorify' marriage and not focus on the singles enough. By the way, I was married for 20 years. I've been on both sides of the fence.
God made women emotional and men physical. I'm talking about sold out Christians. I'm not talking about those Christians who 'missionary date'. My observation and belief is when a woman glorifies marriage more than their relationship than the Godhead (God, Jesus and Holy Spirit), they tend to get buggered up!!! What do I mean by buggered up. A woman lets her guard down, compromise her relationship with the Godhead, purity, character, etc. A man can discern and see a 'desperate' woman. I've seen too many women fall for the deception. A man will say that God showed me that you're my wife and they, over time, give the man wife benefits.
You've given this man your body, mind, keys to your residence, etc. Whew!!! I straight up and tell those wanna be's that I'm not foo foo the fool! I've had men and women come after me. Yeah, that's real and the truth! Women, we have to do better. The most important thing in your life is the Godhead first and foremost. I see too many women running after men, especially those who are widows. They go after marries ones too. They say "the Lord told me that so and so was my husband". A woman told me that before. I said 'girl, you're listening to the devil and need deliverance". I don't have time for mess!! I use my spiritual gifts, as well as common sense. Sistas, you can do it!!!

That I can't have him until I fully surrender to the Lord because He is all that I need. He told me I'd idolize my husband and He's not having that. Yes, Lord! I completely understand. It’s different from back in the days I agree with Shameka whole heartedly because they way the economy has changed those who are like Shameka we barely keeping our heads up and we single doing it working 3 or 4 jobs to make ends meet, but some woman (some) have been called to break generational cycles and curses and I agree with Anthony I think that’s his name (blue shirt) this generation make hard for those who hustle to do what Shameka spoke of and the men always choosing those women we over looked cuz we hustling and we in the house cuz we don’t have time for games and that’s why he said why you 30 plus and can’t pay your rent.
