That said, I personally think SS is better, but if course it is cuz they use rib meat in their burger grind. It's why it's helluva lot more expensive than INO.

Its hard to compare shake shack and in and out. There two different price points. In and Out does amazingly well while staying in a budget while Shake Shack is amazing if you want something a bit more expensive and higher quality. I don't see why so many people compare them.

Five guys is not fast food, its a different section i feel.
i dont believe shake shack qualifies as fast food. the burgers, hot dogs, and shakes are made to order. sometimes you will wait nearly 15 minutes for your order depending on how busy it is. i dont think thats fast at all lol
Danny Meyer sources higher quality ingredients (i.e. Pat LaFrieda beef) than In N Out...thus the higher price.

When is there ever a right time
In n out is a fast food chain, while shake shack is a to go restaurant. Both are good in their own ways. In n out is fresh and refreshing while also being light, while shake is more of a heavy duty burger.
When I get my tax/school refund: Shake Shack.

Born n raised in Cali, in n out will always be a special place. It's a burger I was basically raised eating. It's classic and simple. I can never choose another burger over in n out.

The crinkle-cut at shake shack are previously frozen. I remember something about a half-decade ago about them changing to fresh cut fries but that wasn't met well, so they brought back the frozen crinkle-cut ones to appease the regulars.

I feel like you can’t really compare the two! They both are good for different reasons and they both have different price points. It makes more sense for shake shack to be “better quality” because it’s double the price but the in n out quality for such a low price is amazing. I live in southern California and I've always loved In-N-Out (cheeseburger w/ grilled onions and some animal fries), there was one directly across the street from my high school. I've never seen a Shake Shack, but I'd love to try it someday, especially after watching this video!
Edit: Oh, just looked it up and I guess there are locations all around Los Angeles. I assumed they had to fly Shake Shack in from out east somewhere for this video. Guess I'll be able to try it sooner than I thought!
