I don't eat beef, but I have eaten at in n out a lot. The grilled cheese is honestly really good it's just like a burger but with extra cheese in place of the beef.

While a lot of people do eat a flying dutchman by itself, they're actually intended for customers to buy on the side to add to their burgers if they wanted something bigger than a 4x4.
as an in n out burger associate: please do not ever ask for roadkill fries we are not allowed to make those, thank you.

The policy says, "it sacrifices the quality and health safety of our product". Which I'm interpreting to mean that since the meat patty is on top of the animal fry, it exposes it to much more than just what's on the fry because it has to go from the grill, to the fry table, (if the associate is not familiar with what it is, possibly the steamer which will ruin the meat patty), then packaged, and then it goes to the customer. So it adds a number of steps to a carefully created item to a company that moves very fast, so it can fall very easily etc. Since it is not a common item, we do not have procedures on how to make them. So, basically because we're not trained on how to create road kill fries, tons of things can go wrong, especially at the fry table.
