Fabulous work.wondering a way to illuminate the moon surface, drill very small holes following crater paths etc or grind back of panel thin to allow light to glow behind. Then of coutse, the rear circle would need to be a ring with LEDs projecting inside
I do think this is one of those things where the camera just doesn’t pick up enough. Like your eye can really see the details even in the dark, but it’s hard for the camera!

Yes! Just normal Behr interior paint because it’s what I had on hand. I think anything will do though!
