Let me be one of the first to commend Sam Witwer on being a genuine good guy, gamer and other positive synonyms starting with "Gee". FFG has always been a customer-focused producer of games and they greatly deserve this kind of positive exposure.
whenever I see a celebrity go to location to talk about some niche stuff I always expect them to cover up the fact they know nothing about the subject with jokes or talk down to the target audience. It is very refreshing to have someone who is 1. a fan, and 2. brings more info to the table along with relevant questions.
The knowledge Sam Witwer has is unbelievable. I've seen his trivia contests and other interviews and he never fails to impress! I know he works Star Wars and all...but hes one of the few actors who actually LIVES and breathes this genre above and beyond most of us SW nerds out there and even above most of the actors themselves aside from Mark Hamill.
Filoni thought about including Starkiller in Rebels for a while, but then decided against it, because they would have needed to Nerf his powers so heavily for him to not just steamroll everybody else that it wouldn't really have been Starkiller anymore.
@@ironvader502 I didn't know that! Good info. I would be happy for him or the idea of vaders "secret apprentice" to come back in any form really. Unless it already has and I just dont read the comics :)
@@Xin4rius_ EXACTLY! And they didnt adress that! And if they want to talk about Darth Maul, then invite the actor of Darth Maul. And vice versa for Starkiller. AND THEN you should show a new model for the presented character to amp it up instad of just showing old stuff everyone has seen :)
@@Belphoron Sam will always be Maul for me, that was my introduction to Sam and I always cherish that. He did fantastic as Maul. I'd love for them to talk about Starkiller, but FFG being an official licensor from Lucasfilm, I don't think they're even allowed to include Starkiller into any of their official Star Wars boardgames, much less talk about him. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Lucasfilm has indeed largely moved away from the legends timeline. They still reincorporate elements from the EU, for sure, but I believe Starkiller, in particular, will largely stay non-canon. That and Maul is more iconic and more well-known by most of the fandom, naturally. Nothing wrong about that, just is what it is.
LOL @11:11 ...but seriously FFG, I'd love for you to bring us a limited edition Galen "Starkiller" Marek Legion mini or something. Start a crowd funding campaign, similar to the HasLab's Sail Barge and gauge the response from SW fans who love the Legends characters. You may be pleasantly surprised.
2 things: 1. at age 36, I just developed the first man-crush of my life, so... thanks for that? 2. Umbarans for CW Legion, when? (seriously, as much as I'm hyped for an AT-TE, that Millipede tank of the Umbarans would be ASTONISHING in Legion !)
"You may know me as the voice of darth maul" Well i know you as the guy who pulled a star destroyer out of the sky with nothing but two outstretched hands and an angry yell
The fact he saw the Kenobi action figures, I was just waiting for him to scream KENOOOOOOOBI and go to instant character. And to imagine he's a voice actor of both Starkiller and my most favorite Sith lord Maul, he's an extremely amazing fan boy...
If there’s a Maul Operative for Clone Wars Legion, I can’t wait to field him and say, “Look what has become of you: a rat in the desert.” Every. Time. During Turn 1. ;)
Sam is just so genuinely passionate about the SW extended universe. I would love it if he started playing Armada. “Show me some star killer ones” “I’ve got nothing for you” “You’re a jerk”
Dear FFG pleaseeee keep armada going. Its my favourite table top game. And is always fun. Its not dying please keep promoting it. I promise ill by the star hawk
I'm a huge fan of Sam's. He was Starkiller, arguably one of the greatest Star Wars characters immortalized in a video game. He was Aiden in Being Human, and played him perfectly. I didn't realize he was Maul till later, but got wicked excited when I found out. I was lucky enough to meet him at Origins Game fare a few years ago, and he was such a cool guy. It only solidified my fandom for the guy. To see him walking the halls of my favorite game publisher is another reason to have full on respect for this guy. P.S. FFG, Please bring the Rogue Shadow with Starkiller, Juno, Rahm, and Proxy to the game of Xwing.
He also was a guest player on "Dice, Camera, Action!" a D&D show led by Chris Perkins. He roleplayed Mordenkainen, one of the first known player characters by Gary Gagax (the creator of D&D). As a twist it seemed like he was roleplaying Gary Gygax playing Mordenkainen. He was hillarious!
Great guy in a great game studio! A small hint though: artwork for Destiny Maul... It’s for the “current” cardgame 😈. With gencon at our doorstep, a new SW LCG? 👏🏻. Great vid!
Oh Sam Witwer. I remember you as Galen Marek aka Starkiller. Hey FFG I'm certain this will never happen, because Disney, most likely, but please make a Galen Marek/Starkiller figure. This guy is a fan favorite. Don't listen to the Haters ;D
Well, if that wasn't an obvious nod that Maul is coming to Legion! Originally I was going to buy the Clone but now it looks like I mite invest in the Droids!

I have played a lot of RPG's over the years some good some bad, while the writing for FF's games is good, the dice system is the worst i have ever experienced. Its why i sold my books back to the game store.
Sam's questions show just how big of a gamer he really is. Fantastic interview!
"You might know me as the voice of darth maul" doooood your starkiller, just because its now legends doesn't mean we forgot haha
He did a great job voicing Maul and Son......but he'll always be THE Starkiller for me....
Don't forget about his Palpatine's voice, so... he is basically Dark Side! :)
Commander Shepard he even LOOKS like star killer
@@IcyFemboi becouse he is? They used performance capture
Legends is canon to me, so that's ok!

like that Sam is down to earth and so human.. respect.. he seems to be a fun guy to hang out with.
Sam has been playing Star Wars tabletop RPG for like 20 years. His episodes he did with The Order 66 Podcast were always my favorites.
Man I love Sam Witwer; hopefully they bring back Starkiller / Galen Marek in some capacity some day.
No thanks
@JB 1996 if they can bring Maul back convincingly, they can do anything :P

Cool to see him ask legit questions. Love that there are so many people into the hobby that you wouldn’t think
Loved Sam in the show Being Human. It would be great to be able to play some games with him. Seems like a chill guy!

Put this man in a live action Starkiller Movie now!!!!!!!
Jaw-droppingly detailed sculpting on this miniature scale! Just wow.
8:32 Sam painted his IA figures! Pretty cool.
Sam is great!!! We need him to be in a live action movie. Maybe Dave Filoni will cast him!!
It always brings good feelings, when watching this. Thanks guys
I hope Starkiller will be done in the future.
Same here.
This is so great. HUGE love for the RPG, and I love hearing what he had to say about it. Hungry for so much more!

Sam, nice Black Mesa Research Facility Shirt! I have a sticker of that on my bumper.
I would give my left undisclosed body part to play a campaign or a few games of FFG products with Sam. Awesome guy!
He’s Deacon St John to me at the moment. This guy has one helluva carrier. Keep it going Sam.....
I've been in that parking lot. Sam Witwer walked on hallowed ground

Could that final art piece be a teaser for how Maul might show up in Legion?
Crabbok what about that Ahsoka mini
That looked like the IA miniature
Is that Dave Grohl in the background
Okay, that was a cool video! Loved it. But, it was all Star Wars. I was hoping to see some Terrinoth and 5 rings too.

Elias Gomez it’s from a company called soul revolver think the jackets called the hybrid

Rogue Shadow when?

Sam Witwer should cosplay as a comic Negan holy shit!
plz tell me that is stuff for IMPERIAL ASSAULT
please make star wars the old republic for legions when you get done with the clone wars. please
How do they paint the white like that
will cody be released?
Probably since Rex is coming as Dooku's counterpart in the later part of CW's phase 1
no IA ?
