Given the recent boon to older songs from reactors that are bringing them to a new audience you would think more bands would want their videos shared. Carol and her manager were upset and were on the phone with the record company and finally got it unblocked. Musicians really like these reaction videos. It's the publishers and record companies blocking them
I agree 100%, I'm a 63 year old rock 'n roll relic and I love seeing how the younger generations react to the music that people like us grew up on. Jamel is really doing those artist a big favor.

I appreciate every minute you put into this. I know that just to make one video takes SO much more than the 10 minute reaction. I know you have to work so hard, juggle requests, comments, worry about copywrite strikes, editing...on and on. I know we see maybe 5% of what you actually do. The comments are soooo overwhelming. Especially frustrating when people complain. My hell! You have 600k people who want your reaction to their song. I think you do a DAMN great job giving us diverse artists and genres. And I always feel so guilty requesting/recommending stuff. (But I know at the same time you want requests.) You are SO generous with your time, especially responding to people. The artists rarely have any say, @NewBluesBros. It's the publishers, record labels, and copyright holders. I agree that they need to understand that reaction videos are free publicity for flagging products, but sadly, the music industry is notoriously stupid about self-defeating.

We know it takes a lot to do everything and deal with blocked videos and mean comments, but please remember how many people you make happy and positively impact. That music room is proof of that. I didn't receive this as a rant. I took it as you going the extra mile to keep us informed and the lines of communication open. It's easy to stay positive when everything's positive. But when record companies play the same game they've been playing since the invention of the phonograph, and RUclips enforces it's rules with the roll of the dice, negativity and fatigue can creep in. As part of your community, I have no problem letting a video roll to the end and give the thumbs up before moving on. You have a second channel that gives more of the content that drew me here in the first place? I'm there. I'd encourage everybody to do the same. Our complaints against youtube or the record companies are weaked if we haven't at least done our part, use the system to our advantage when we can.

Try not to get discouraged Jamel, you're the best reactor in my book. It's crazy that a record label or artist would block a video, especially older artist who would benefit from the exposure to new, younger audience , but if they do block a video, it should be blocked by RUclips for ALL channels not just a select few. We know it takes a lot to do everything and deal with blocked videos and mean comments, but please remember how many people you make happy and positively impact. That music room is proof of that. I didn't receive this as a rant. I took it as you going the extra mile to keep us informed and the lines of communication open.
It's easy to stay positive when everything's positive. But when record companies play the same game they've been playing since the invention of the phonograph, and RUclips enforces it's rules with the roll of the dice, negativity and fatigue can creep in.
As part of your community, I have no problem letting a video roll to the end and give the thumbs up before moving on. You have a second channel that gives more of the content that drew me here in the first place? I'm there.
I'd encourage everybody to do the same. Our complaints against youtube or the record companies are weaked if we haven't at least done our part, use the system to our advantage when we can.

Many of us here recognize and appreciate all of your efforts into making these reaction videos Jamel, we now know some of what goes on behind the scenes thanks to this video you posted and it is too bad that there are people who complain and they are the worst sort of people too because those who complain the most accomplish the least! We know the majority of the time you are reacting to a song is because it is your first time and some you've heard before but never really paid to close attention until you react to it! You are right though; you cannot please everyone, and it is a waste of your valuable time to do so. Try not to get discouraged Jamel, you're the best reactor in my book. It's crazy that a record label or artist would block a video, especially older artist who would benefit from the exposure to new, younger audience , but if they do block a video, it should be blocked by RUclips for ALL channels not just a select few. As for the whiners and haters, they are losers and aren't worth wasting 1 ounce of energy or time on. Keep up the great work brother, you're the best.
