i think he was deeply confused but also just sort of understood that if this was what satoko really wanted, she has a right to not forgive him and to want to hurt him and even kill him. it shows a selflessness that wasn't really there previously, even in sotsu. since at first he tried to fix his life up because he kept feeling the brunt of what happens to him in alternate universes out of fear that he'll end up dying horribly, but eventually he came to actually enjoy having a family again and felt genuinely guilty about what a piece of shit he was to satoko, subconsciously even in prior timelines, like what happened with shion and satoko.
Because they are related and he who made satoko like this if teppei and his wife never abuse satoshi and satoko, satoshi will never get L5 who made him separate from satoko and made satoko end up depended with Rika

I undestand the scene in Gou now. I recommend rewatching that scene. In Gou the baseball hitting Keichi, hits him from the side. Also the handle goes down while the end of the batt is up. That means the attacker is short. It's pretty clear It's Satoko. When Keichi falls on the ground he grips some blood. Not his blood. Now we know It's Teppei's. He supports himself on a table and looks infront of himself. Since he's on the ground he probably sees Teppei's dead face. Keichi was hit hard and is panicking. He just saw Teppei's face so he imagines Teppei attacking him. The rest MUST be a hallucination. He sees Teppei kicking him and Satoko running into the room which doesn't make sense. From there Keichi probably attacks Teppei's corpse in a manic state and faints. You can see the blood splattering on the blood that was already there. ALSO In Gou, before Watanagashi. There is a scene of Satoko taking shower. She must have took it AFTER killing Teppei and smashing him with a baseball since she's clean at Watanagashi and dressed in different clothes. The blood she's covered in when she walks on Oishi, killing others is Keichi's blood since she hit his head with a baseball. That's how you also know It was probably not Oishii who attacked Keichi. Unlike Satoko, He's not covered in blood at all! How can he be an attacker if no blood got on him at all while Satoko found a way to get covered in blood? Oishii had a batt, that's true however, It's possible that he found Keichi and Teppei lying there and assumed they are this year's victims of the curse. That sent him into stage 5. It's possible he grabbed the baseball and started smashing furniture out of anger, similar to Keichi destroying Teppei's home with an axe after finding tortured Satoko in the original series. That way everything checks out.
This is unexpected as Satoko realizes that Eua played her for a pawn by creating her witch version of herself who doesn't have compassion for others and knows she's in the wrong and tries to resist her with huge efforts but gets erased immediately!

I swear this is becoming very sad of the original Satoko who made not really her due to the eye and the witch she watches her. I assume she’ll be like this probably forever since she snap trying to get herself back but no her evil self is taking in action killing her good side in the process when she shot her now full in control.
It’s interesting to see the ‘splitting’ happen with Satako turning into Lambda, in the same was it was told that Bern was split from Rika as a result of her anguish and despair. Having followed the franchise from the beginning, to see it all coming together like this is amazing.

Keiichi isn't even involved, and isn't a "Hero". However, Witch Satoko needs anyone who could see the fragments (Rika/BERNKASTEL/us) to believe the first perspective.

In 2012. I approached this anime seeing the cute and innocent looking girls in the boonies thinking about what a great slice-of-life romcom anime it would be. You know, kinda like toradora and such. I was scarred for life. Then I got my brother in on the action. He too was scarred for life.

Yeah it's true that she indirectly cause the deaths of the others by injecting H-173 to Renna, Mion, and Oishii but really though, most of the loops she goes, she has been killing herself again and again after failing to convince Rika to stay in Hinamizawa

It’d make sense if Satoko called Ooishi after knocking out Keiichi, telling him her narrative of how Keiichi killed Teppei and she went to call for help, she then tells Ooishi tht Rika was the mastermind all along, which leads to Ooishi taking the bat and killing everyone in the festival.

I mean the original anime already did something right with the very dark murder scenes, but Gou and Sotsu really brought these scenes to a way different level. Especially this one and the Rena killing Rina scene are absolutely magnificent. The latter is probably my favourite Higurashi murder scene so far. I hope, even when this really does end at episode 15, we will be getting more Higurashi content, I can't get enough of it. I mean, Umineko would be nice too, but I can't help it, I'm a sucker for Higurashi and I will always prefer it over anything else.
Childish Satoko does not exist anymore. She is over 100 years old at this point. She and Rika stated themselves that it was nothing than a facades during their fight. They put on the mask to fit the Hinamizawa self, and Rika drops that mask after attending Lucia which confused Satoko the first time, leading to think that Rika was faking it when it was her true self.

Childish Satoko does not exist anymore. She is over 100 years old at this point. She and Rika stated themselves that it was nothing than a facades during their fight. They put on the mask to fit the Hinamizawa self, and Rika drops that mask after attending Lucia which confused Satoko the first time, leading to think that Rika was faking it when it was her true self.
