As a former Rock Radio DJ and stubborn SOB who listens almost exclusively to Rock and Metal, I'm widening my horizons and listening to music I would have never ever listened to before.
Is it any good? You'll have to watch to see!

It was fate.
Long story as short as possible:
I was HUGE into Guns-N-Roses. Went to amusement park with best friend. NKOTB were there. Performing that night. Somehow we got tix. My eyes followed one member the moment he came out. Yeah...Donnie (the one who died in 6th Sense). While we love all of them, of course, most of us have a favorite. Donnie's fans? He calls us his Army!
My dad was in the army...in the Korean War...stationed, obviously, in South Korea.
Found out, AFTER I got into BTS, my husband, while in the army, was at the language school.....to learn, yep, Korean! (I confiscated all of his Korean CASSETTE tapes to help me learn! LOL)
Now...for a suggestion, but another long story, as short as possible, first.
Hubby and I have 5 kids. Geography was never my strong point. I've loved music since my mom (or dad?) first turned on the radio.
When all of the kids were in school, we got a map and tiny dot stickers.
Every Friday night, we'd do a "picnic" in the living room for dinner - lay out a blanket and eat finger foods (nuggets, fish sticks, fries, whatever).
Family Game Night while we ate? Nope! Family Music Night.
One kid would call out a country - we'd mark it on the map to help them learn geography.
Another kid would call out a music genre. (The only thing I DON'T listen to is gospel.)
That's actually how we discovered BTS (just hours after their first music video dropped)!
Anyway, we'd type in "(Country) (Genre) Official Music Video". Then, we'd pick 3 artists/groups, and the rule was that we had to listen to 3 songs by each of those artists/groups.
And that is how we discovered...
The Hu: ruclips.net/video/v4xZUr0BEfE/видео.html - Traditional Mongolian throat singers but with a modern feel is about the only way I can describe them. Very unique to English speakers, and it did take a few songs, but we all ended up loving them. The link is to MY favorite (so far) song of theirs. Though as a family, we do disagree on their "best song". LOL
I found your channel because of BTS, but NKOTB was my boyband. 😊 This song is a little poppy for me (and honestly, i haven't listen to the rest of the album yet), but they're a fun live show.
My younger brother LOVED the New Kid’s first album. Many family trips with the tape on repeat (because the youngest always get their way).
I didn’t think this was bad at all and I usually don’t do pop. That said, I’ve heard they are good on radio but amazing live.

I know you liked to go in blind so I wont say to much just that it was Ed before he was famous like 11 years ago, when he was still broke and a part of the UK Underground Grime scene. And spoiler he makes multiple beats live with just a guitar a microphone and loop pedal. Its an amazing performance to witness and a side of ED that you wouldn't expect even if you are familiar with his music. He is truly one of the artists with most pure talent of this generation.
