Holy cow. You weren't kidding ('10 more years...")!! So many great ideas. Such a wonderful attitude. And such sage advice offered without drama, fanfare or endless chatting. Really looking forward to more triad applications, but this alone is going to keep me busy. Thank you!!!!!
Thank you Jimmy for another lovely lesson on the miracle of triads, and especially where you relate it to soloing which is where I need to start doing some serious woodshedding. I've been noticing lately how valuable it is to know the degrees within each triad inversion and I thought I'd pass it on incase it might be of use to anyone else.. Knowing the tonic is important for obvious reasons but knowing the 3rd and 5th as well makes it easier to find the minor, diminished, and augmented forms as well as helping to find extensions, alterations, rootless chords etc. I've been finding it helpful to relate the name of the inversion to the position of the tonic. What I mean by that is I think of "1st" inversion being the one where the tonic is the 1st or highest note in the triad. When the tonic is the 2nd note in the triad it's a "2nd" inversion. Root position is self explanatory where the tonic is the lowest or root note. I'm finding this way of getting to know the inversions also helps studying across all four string groups.
I love the phrase “The Miracle of Triads”. Genuinely the truth 😄 Everything you wrote is all very useful and I totally agree on the importance of those things! Thanks again for watching!
Amazing! We don't have anything booked in Leicester, but I'll definitely mention it - I'm not too far away. Not been to the Donkey before, I'll check it out, thanks for the tip. 🎸
Wow, I just had a look, that's an amazing bit of work - I could imagine that being really user friendly and useful in an app too. I'll post this in some of my descriptions if you like? Thanks for sharing.

Cool! Love the Fairport poster on the wall too.
My band toured with them a few years ago and it was great fun. That’s my little souvenir! Thanks for watching 🎸🎸
If you play in Leicester I'll definitely come down, The Donkey is getting a refurb, should be good.

Another great video thank you. I wrote an app to show me triads across the neck...!
Wow, that’s so cool. Is it available to download anywhere?
@LearnGuitarWithJimmyBrewer it's hosted in the azure cloud....it's actually a website not an app, but could be ported to an app. I'll dig it out...
@@LearnGuitarWithJimmyBrewer Hi yes - I've messaged you on instagram with a link

“No woman No Cry” seems to be good song to practice to.
I agree, that's a good one. I'm planning on doing a lesson on a bunch of riffs that help with this stuff 🎸
Hey Jimmy, great video as always. You wrote traids instead of triads. Fix it so people will find your video. 🤝🤝
Gosh, thanks so much for the spot! 😂 Thanks for watching
