They’re two type of fishermen..There’s fishermen that fish with a bunch of different poles and enough tackle to start a small fishing shop and there’s people like me that only needs a couple of packs of senko worms and 2 packs of hooks while catch 3-7lbs bass on the regular with one pole.
I love that u talk about yum dinger. I think some people overlook it simply cuz its cheap. It stands up on the bottom unlike a regular senko and it's a lot cheaper.Thats pretty much the only senko I use
The quality and content keeps getting better and better with every video! Started watching your videos over a year ago and they were good then but are even better now. Appreciate you giving up the little helpful secrets that most people don’t realize or forget about. Keep it up 👍. Lakes are frozen here so I need your videos to get me through the winter.
Loving the videos. The boat is put away for the coldest part of our winter but already getting mentally prepared for spring tournaments coming soon. These are a huge help! Thanks a ton for sharing your knowledge.
When I fish a 4inch green pumpkin blue fleck, it seems extremely effective where the main forage is bluegill, it makes sense seeing as the color pattern matches
I got an insane deal at Walmart one time. They had about 10 packs of Yamamoto sinkos, in clearance for a 1$ each pack. I couldn’t believe it and bought everything they had. It was a good color too.
Love all the info, Brother! Just a couple things that I do to save a few $$. I buy my storage boxes at my Wife's craft stores (SAVE QUITE ABIT) & I buy the big pack of the Bass Pro Shop senko style worms which, in MY opinion work just as well!
Half way through your video I hit the pause. I want to comment on your choice of baits. Living for over 35 years down here in south central Florida I have bass fished most of the lakes here and there is many. I have used many baits on the banks as well as many lakes. Back in 2021, my bought me a new shroom floor Ranger rig that I just love. Anyway, my PB is 11.8 pounds with several 10 pounders a few 8 and 9 pounder all released back after a picture is taken. I love to see them swim off healthy. Ley me get to the real point. You are spot on about the June Bug. My choice is the June Bug red. I tried the others but my PB came off the June Bug red. I did catch a 9.10 pounder off a Green Pumpkin red glitter Senko. I rigged it Texas style. These fish were caught from 8a.m. to 10a.m. Now on 7/23/24 at 8:30a.m. (and with a full moon) in 9 foot of water around lily pads, I caught a 10 plus pounder that scared the crap out of me. I was so surprised as I thought I was hung up on some lily pads. Once I saw my line move, I knew it was a fish. Point being, it was a 7 inch June Bug red. Bingo. Now to the rest of your video which I love.
Bud this video was great, can't wait to watch more like it! My favorite senko bait and color is definitely the BassPro Stick-o in double trouble. Its a green pumpkin black flake and watermelon red flake laminate, so the best of both worlds and it crushes! Keep up the amazing work!
The berkley gillies..... I hate to sound cliche, but nothing beats the original... imakatsu...and it's definitely very noticeable the differences, but again the originals are hardly ever in stock. Great video always.
It makes perfect sense that a black worm would work well in clear water. Leeches can be quite dark, even black in color. Many fish eat leeches. They also occur in a much lighter color very similar to green pumpkin. I imagine plastic worms in those colors mimic both earthworms and leeches.
LOL...look at that mess. We must be brothers separated at birth by many years. I have to empty my boat and start from scratch several times a year. Great video. Love what you're doing.
I make my own soft plastics. I find this video very interesting. I'm going to make these colors and try them. Plus gave me some gre ideas for colors. Thank you
Thanks for another year of great posts. Wish you all the best for Christmas and the new year. Hope to see you do well in the opens this coming season and look forward to your vids.
Love the black and blue ones. That color works at my lake in all conditions. I’m talking clear water on sunny days to the worst conditions. Don’t know why but it does. And believe me I’ve tried everything in every condition. Anyway, as always, love your videos
For real. I often catch myself buying lures that look good to me. Mr. Bass can go and get his own lures. I'm trying to get down to just two boxes, one for UL and one for normal fishing with the hope of being able to cover most situations. Do your worms melt into the plastic boxes? If not, what's the secret?
I pretty much stick to one box per type of bait. I don’t see the need for more than that because down here in florida you don’t need a ton of colors. The basic colors, green pumpkin, black blue, June bug, watermelon red, that’s it. In other baits I stick to shad and bluegill color patterns since that’s what the forage is. For topwater, bone, white, black, clear. If you stick to these you won’t have 40 to 50 boxes o& baits and lures and have no idea what tackle you own. Fisherman focus WAY too much attention on baits versus learning bass behavior to locate fish. Once you find where the fish are located they will usually hit a variety of baits. Catching bass actually is that hard, finding them however …
boil your bass pro zenkos for 2 minutes in hot water and you will see the difference, they will turn as soft as Yamamoto. You can take advantage at the same time you are boiling your zenkos to insert a piece of heat shrink tubing and your zenko will not break when you use it in wacky.
Hey man love this style of video! I like the idea of putting them in a box, I’ll usually have way to many dumb colors in 15 packs in a bass mafia bag. Such a pain filing through it.
Yea, everyone stores soft plastics a little differently, I prefer the box because I like to see them, but keeping them in the original bags is probably best for the bait.
TB I think you're on to something here. Information of colors on the different water colors is something some pros cover but doesn't dig deep like you have, appreciate the way you covered this!$$$
I use all of those colors down here in Florida I fish around Orlando and those 4 colors always catch fish no I am not a professional fisherman but I have some knowledge about bass fishings and I love learning new things and learning about new rigs or how to use a rig I never thought about using before
Watermelon red flake and green pumpkin black flake. After having a container full of different colors, I just settled on those two and haven't looked back. I use senkos and ocho's for wacky rigging, and yum dingers for neko rigs. I have a handful of 4 inch senkos I use for tiny child rigs when my ned rigs are getting hung up a lot. All you really need in my opinion.
On more than one occasion when bass are tearing up Senkos, I have tested every color I have and they all have worked. Green Pumpkin black flake and emerald purple are definitely my highest confidence colors. I have not had as much success with Yum Dinger or other generic baits. Awesome information I've never used a sanko . I grew up in Missouri the show me state I learn better by hands on so if ever your in Florida I'd love to fish with you. I go there every year from January through April in Punta Gorda. Have a Merry Christmas my freind. Thank you for all you great videos 📹 👍 ❤
I live in Florida and Headwaters lake is on fire now. It has been for quite a while, I love it and when the spillway is open and there is current I get bit 100% of my casts. Huge bass use a 2oz weight to punch through the heavy mat and that's where the monsters live. Oops, am I saying this out loud? LOL
Yamamoto baby bass is my go to I do like the 6th sense clout in a green pumpkin juice or green pumpkin magic too. Yamamoto has a green pumpkin magic as well
I know this is an older video but try the watermelon slice laminate gary yamamoto senko. I don't know why it works but I have got a bite on every cast several different times. I can't keep enough of them in my bag. This color works when nothing else does.
Ty, check out the Plano 3701 5-34 box. It’s thinner but has 5 row instead of 4. Two of them are slightly thinner than a regular 3700. I did exactly what you suggested…I emptied each one of my over crowded Plano boxes and organized each one by color and then made some tough keep or cull decisions on baits that have just been riding around taking up space. The thinner 3701 boxes fit into the lockers a lot neater and I have more of the baits I really use.
Thanks Tyler had a brain fart it's June bug I've used June bug. Also finally black an dark red is even better in stained water that's worked amazing for me
Pumpkin orange with black flakes or amber pepper I learned from reading tony bean books amber pepper grub his anywhere anytime favorites bait for smallie I use it n senko and catch all three here n southern Ohio ! Ussally rivers or river impoundments
Great video. I like the direction of this content. I think the 8th spot in your box if it were in my region would be a color of senko that's orange green pumpkin black and a couple of other color swirled in there. Can't remember the exact name of the color, but I think it mimics cross here in the northeast.
I visited a small town called Madison in Ohio (which is where my wife is from) a couple years ago and I was catching bass on a lake up there on a junebug red ol monster so it’s not just a southern fishing color at all it’s a great all around low light color for the entire country( in my opinion) my grandad caught his PB last year on a junebug red ol monster and I don’t see why a junebug red senko wouldn’t work as well
Sup. I love black and a green pumpkin Gary's senco but also buy the dinger and other varieties of worms. But any worm like a curly tail or any worm once they are bitten or cought too many I cut the worm to a 5" sanco. Any shorter I use on drop shot, can't wait for that video. I love drop shot, especially in running water or dam, because can cast in current and put in rod holder so can use another pole if makes sense? Love the information and mix up of videos because it's information. Ty tc
If I’m fishing weightless, I go with Yamamoto in green pumpkin red watermelon laminate or 6th sense clout in darkwater big. .... Weighted I go with the zoom ultravibe in junebug red and watermelon red. Multiple uses and easy to convert to a stick bait. ..... then I keep an oddball stick bait in a random color ,currently it’s lake fork ring fry in chartreuse. I have the plano waterproof ones. Hasn't warped it yet, and it keeps them nice and fresh. I have two that I cram full at the end of the season, drop scent all over them, then let them marinate all winter.
Great video. Green pumpkin is the best. I'm watching now and you mentioned watermelon with red flake. I fish it with a red hook and it seems to be better than a plain hook. Your thoughts?
Lol me hearing I only need 7-8 colors.. very cool as I pull out the storage tote labeled senkos.... then you go to naming of all theses other colors and I just push the tote backing the compartment.. saying moving on.. 😂
I've used senkos covored tons, I mean tons of water varied retrieve an pause like I do with all my soft plastics an lures an haven't caught a single fish. Lately I've used plumb colored soft plastics all year long covored tons of water an caught alot of bass. The red just seems to draw fish in. Also I've used a more natural smoked shad color with blue Grey with silver an blue sparkle an bass have crushed those as well. Now all I ever used is smoked shad that has silver an blue sparkle with blue an Grey color an the colors amazing looks like the color of an actual fish the plumb is amazing too. These are the only colors I used. If water is stained I've use black an dark purple color that works great.
Hey Tyler great video. My question is where can I get the strike king Ocho in that off white. Have looked for them since I watched a previous vid on stickbaits. Thanks for you time
Finally got a couple packs of smoke/purple Berkley Flat worms... I am wondering if they will outfish/replace a lot of my Senko or General worms. We shall see. Motor oil worms never really stopped catching bass... trends change but I have caught bass on Motor oil worms well over 20 years...maybe 30?
LOL We all have to many plastics. When I first started fishing tourneys back in the early 80s. I had a boater kid that most guys show up with a worm bag and I had worm "Baggie" with 2 packs of 4in. Jersey rigs. Nowdays I have a worm suitcase 😅 .
The way you feel about watermelon red is the same way I feel about junebug red, and I won’t even hardly throw a straight junebug. Sorry for blowing up the comments lol
Lost a monster that cost me a win this past weekend at a local tournament. Second cast of the day on my Vision 110 jerkbait. He broke the line at the surface. Not only did I lose the tournament and most likely my PB, I lost my brand new $25 lure!! This will haunt me forever!

Edit: Ned instead of bed
The Gary’s are soft but the action is undeniable
@@KYLEAD13it’s the salt too. I’ve had days though when a senko wasn’t getting bit and I put on a yum and the slower fall did the trick.
im with you on that...gave up on yamamoto years ago...and no rubber rings polluting our pristene waters...no need for them with yum

The Yum Dinger is my go to in the winter. It out performs any of my senkos. That slow suspension is money in cold water!
That is another great reason to use one, great point!
My favorite senko color, green pumpkin purple, 2nd favorite green pumpkin blue, spring time a bubble gum
Also Baby bass is a must have for me its lighter greenish kinda silver and been good post spawn color for me.
Loving the videos. The boat is put away for the coldest part of our winter but already getting mentally prepared for spring tournaments coming soon. These are a huge help! Thanks a ton for sharing your knowledge.

Yes! Chartreuse pepper! That color kills it for me in my local ponds and guys are always raising their eyebrows at my color choice when I show them.
Great video thanks for all the information and explanation green pumpkin is the best for me also then watermelon with red flakes in Tennessee

The berkley gillies..... I hate to sound cliche, but nothing beats the original... imakatsu...and it's definitely very noticeable the differences, but again the originals are hardly ever in stock. Great video always.
I agree completely with your comments about watermelon red & the black (trick worm).
Sinko's.......Black, GP, White, Junebug......and Watermelon as an option. 90% of the other colors are either modifications of these or not necessary.
Honestly caught my pb on chartreuse pepper lizard also thank you for this video I’ve learned a lot and look forward to trying out your tips

Thanks again Bennie! You are correct, black blue works in a lot of situations
I’d say 80% of the time I use black and blue or some green pumpkin or greenish color. The other might be something else

Great advice on the colors, my choice of presentation is on a wacky rig hook.
Build more shelving in your garage and organize your rods. This will help you out a lot, especially with putting up your gear after fishing.
Those are two great colors that rarely disappoint
Love your videos. Awesome stuff.
I'm fairly new to the sport. Any videos on Co-Angler gear and technique?
On more than one occasion when bass are tearing up Senkos, I have tested every color I have and they all have worked. Yamamoto Senko significantly better for me. While all the colors you mention are great, I still believe simplifying down to a few colors is often better.
Dinger's are great as neko rigs. They're more durable, and not quite as bulky. Only thing I use a senko for is wacky rigging.
