I recently visited G-Town Wine store in Gurgaon , mostly purchased Vodka and Tequilla, got amazed by seeing the varities we see there. Don Angel Tequila tasted the best and Svedka was too good. I work in Mumbai, the biggest challenge here is to find a larger wine shop in Suburb areas ( Andheri or Goregaon) and price is way too expensive or you hardly see any varities. Not sure why Alcohol price cant be controlled at Pan India level with same VAT or Excise charge. Why people in MH need to pay 8K for Glenlivet while in Delhi its way cheaper.

Absolutely true.. I've tasted so many whisky while I was in UK and here in India which are affordable. As per my taste Glenfiddich 12 is still my old time favourite.

Also, in any Jack Daniels I get this kind of taste. Initial peg, I drink neat if it is a good whisky and then later mix water. We were four guys. One guy had just 2 pegs and he was done. He doesn't drink much. Rest 3 of us, finished it with little more than quarter each.

For me, Glenfiddich 21 is the (most expensive) whiskey I can buy and enjoy at the moment. Glenfiddich 12, 15, 18! Just love it!
I've tasted so many of the whiskies but Glenfiddich is the smoothest so far
