Jorge Torres - Omg that makes so much sense! Also the spino was proven to have walked on all fours, so us knowing its a hybrid makes up for the inaccuracy.
That makes more sense, as it was proven that the spino walked on all fours like a crocodile. Knowing it’s a hybrid makes the theropod features more understandable.
A better way they could go about it is the genome cuz if you remember they said that the Dino’s look different because they have to fill in their missing genes with frogs and crap so that could also be a reason it looks so different
Spinosaurus walking on all fours has never been proven, it is just a theory. Many paleontologists actually expressed serious doubts about it, as they believe the wrists would not have been strong enough to carry the animal. However, it has been proven that Spinosaurus had very short hind limbs, wich, along with its paddle-like tail, would have made it very awkward on land. But I agree that the hybrid theory makes a lot of sense.
Honestly I don't mind Hybrids, but I admit the big selling point SHOULDNT be Hybrids. I say this even with the desire for a list of hybrids in Jurassic World Evolution, but they are not the reason I want the game, far from it
I think a possible explanation for the quilled velociraptors in JP3 could be that they too were products of the attempts to reproduce feathers in dinosaurs or the amalgam testing. Of course, the differences in the raptors' appearance in JP3 compared to the other movies is the result of creative differences, but this explanation could be retconned in.
Interestingly enough the raptors made by I.B.R.I.S. (Blue, Charlie, Echo, Delta and V-2) have the same skull shape that the quilled raptors. That could be proof of Wu's late work on a different raptor species left in Nublar.
I.B.R.I.S. was a proect and it stands for "Integrated Behavioral Raptor Intelligence Study" The raptor you are talking about is Subect V-2, who got euthanized for it's agressivity
That roar. I can hear it in my nightmares. I remember seeing JP3 back in the day and after hearing that roar for the first time and seeing big bad Spino show up. wreck the plane and kill a ADOLESCENT T-Rex I've been haunted by this beast ever since. So during my last of High School (2015 the year JW came out) my film class did a watch of all 3 JP films and hardly no one had seen JP3. Everyone was laughing during the "Its a bad idea, whats a bad idea" part and as soon as Spinosaurus roared the entire room went dead silent. Like you could hear a pencil drop silent. Oh the memories haha.
"It's a Tyrannosaurus...!" "I don't think so... it sounds... bigger..." **Cue professional mercenaries fleeing from the jungle as if a demon was after them** Regardless of whether or not that individual Spino was a hybrid or not, there's no arguing the fact that IT WAS BADASS.
It’s nice to finally get some information on the mystery of the origins of the Spinosaurus. I honestly would love to see it again, I know some fans hate it for killing a T-Rex, which yes, kind of sucked, but I still thought the Spinosaurus was a cool edition to the Jurassic Park franchise.
if they wanted a dinosaur that can kill trex they could have used Gigantosaurus or some other large theropod that was also a hunter. spinosaurus is a fish-eating dinosaur. it can't fight trex and win.
@@yodathejedimaster7781 yea, t rex was an really agressive an highly violent creature, spino was very chill and calm, if they encountered, rex would intimidade spino and spino would flee. but it they were obligated to fight, tyrannosaurus would undoubtedly win
T-Rex was a slow land scavenger with an impressive bite force. Spinosaurus was an aquatic predator with surprising speed. The two wouldn't meet, and even if they did it's unlikely a scavenger like the t-rex would pick a fight.
You're absolutely right, it's just that the Spino was supposed to be the first "dinosaur hybrid," a mix of different dinosaur species in addition to the frog DNA. All other dinosaurs in the first couple films were hybrids in that they were one species of dinosaur, just with frog DNA to fill in the sequence.
It is absolutely 100% a hybrid and THE first hybrid in Jurassic Park. And I'm talking legit hybrid, like Indominus Rex. Spino is a beast, no other creature can match the strength Spino had (land creature at least), it's clearly not a normal proper Spinosaurus.
Victor Ribeiro Exactly! He's brute strength, the King Kong of the JP franchise. He tore through that metal gate like paper, took a plane to his sail which would supposedly "paralyze him", clearly not the case with a hybrid like Spino. He's not as smart but there's a reason he fights bigger and badder Rexes on Sorna.
KingKong19100 He has shown so much strength achievements that Indominus lacks... Sadly we'll never see Spino vs Indominus; but man... I would love to see it!!
I wouldn't class it as a Hybrid by name. Though an 'Amalgam' doesn't roll off the tongue we should probably call it that. Now that we know Wu was doing all these tests and we do know that he was obsessed, with making hybrid animals i.e. the Wu flower. I think we should consider the Spino to be a proto-hybrid, but not a complete one like the Indominus. I think calling it an Amalgam is a good call by the Lore guys. It doesn't take away what makes the Indominus special, but does explain why it's so powerful.
I really like this theory and as a kid I would have loved to hear this because I hated the Spinosaurus for a long time because how it easily killed my favorite dinosaur. If I knew that it was an Almagan or whatever, I think I would have cared less. Today it’s just nice to know that the Spino was modified a bit to be stronger, thus making it cooler and also making the kid side of me feel better that the T-Rex never stood a chance against a modified Spino.
A lot of people didn’t like how the spinosaurus kill the Trex, but I really liked the introduction of a new main Dinosaur for JP3. I like that this movie is very different from the first 2. I like how it is a VERY different, the greenery is different, the main dinosaur is different, and the velociraptors look different. I feel like where JP1&2, the color pallet for most scenes is Green and yellow, and JW is Blue and white, but in JP3 is green and blue, I would say. It killing the Trex shows that they are in different territory now.
There are a few that believe with JWE having the 3 branch system (security, science, and entertainment ) that the Indo-Rex might become unlockable when reaching a certain "rank". Maybe the jp3 spino might be the same way. This is just a theory, based on another theory
It's a joke on the terrible 1998 Godzilla film's plot, where they succesfully lure Godzilla by piling a massive amount of fish in the middle of the city
Escencially, none of this information was planned at all in the beggining went the third movie was in production, since by those days, everyone thought that a real life spino would look like the one from JP, until new recent discovers revealed that it wasn't the case. Later on after JW seeing that the movie was a total sucess, the canon needed an updated and this dino needed some sort of explaination about its origins, seeing this as a good opportunity, they decided to make a vaild backstory for the Spino, in order to.... well, fix the mess that the third movie did, it was an accident and plot whole in the story that actually they manage to repair, so thats something good, and gives an opportunity of making a possible return for this dino, hopelly they will gave us a hit of some sort or an easter egg in Fallen Kingdom about "Spike" XD
While true the open plotline that InGen was doing hidden experiments was planted in JP3 movie itself both by Grant's own comments and the lab scenes. Basically, Jurassic Park 3 created open plot threads but didn't close them and Jurassic World's team just decided to fill the blanks in order to create a stable backstory for their newer movies. It's a technique often used in comics where the writers go back and basically clean up, retcon or clarify everything that's occured in order for the story to retain consistencyin stories created by different writers.
Very, very cool video. I used to be a huge Jurassic Park turbonerd, making lots of Operation Genesis videos in my spare time between re-watching the trilogy for the hundredth time - And yet I never knew about this ARG lore until now! For that, you have earned a new subscriber!
You mean a T. rex? It's just some random T. rex, it's not like it's rexy. And their is only one spino, so if that spino dies.....there is no spino, it's not the same with T. rex, one T. rex dies..there is billions more!
As much as I despise the Spino killing Rex in Jp3, I totally love the actual animal for its uniqueness and feel a bit bad for it getting the hatred of Joe Johnston's stupid mistake...also it being written off just like that is also quite sad
Why are people mad that it killed the Rex? First of all, if any animal had the strength to break the neck of a Rex it would die and it’s a hybrid did you see what the Indominus could do? Also the Indominus would have killed rexy if Blue didn’t attack her. Wonder if people will be mad if she did
This is the first video I’ve seen of yours, but with my ever-growing hype regarding JW Evolution and even Fallen Kingdom (which I was, initially, iffy on despite my love of dinosaurs and the Jurassic series), looking at the number of videos you’ve made for the series and the info in this vid that I’m only now learning about means you, sir, have just earned a new subscriber. Cheers!
Y'know regardless of if JP3 was the worst in the series, and it is, I'm just glad they aren't shying away from it like we all expected. They could easily ignore it and make like it never happened considering how contained it was...but they aren't. They are accepting and adapting it, and that has my respect.
Bloodmoon Alpha Dude...Honestly, I don't much like the Rex anymore, if I'm honest. Always preferred the Dilo, but it never gets play. I honestly want the Rex to die in this next movie and have us move on from that species. There are too many dinosaurs in history to be pigeonholed to Rex and Raptor. I'm personally bored of them, and would like some shake up. Spino was cool, Pteradactyls were cool...and that's it. It is a crumby movie with weird ideas and terrible delivery. A lot of it is just plain bad. And you can admit something is bad without being a fan boy of something.
JP 3 was better than jurassic world nothing was weird in it the spino looked badass and im surprised People are so shooked about it killing the 37 feet Sub adult T Rex i dont even know how its even considered Sub adult only 3 feet Shorter than Rexy the biggest t Rex in the Franchise pff clearly a adult. i agree t Rex is overused we Need to see new species...
I think it would be a major hybrid. It looks little like the real Dinosaur, it's very aggressive, and seems to be slightly armored. It seems like an Amalgam of an Abelisaur and Spinosaur
Klayton Fioriti Thank you. I think it may be a Gigantosaurus, Suchomimus, and Spinosaurus. Giga for size and armor, Spino as a base, and Sucho to stabilize it(and explain it's head being more streamlined and having smaller hand claws)
Spino was larger and outweighed Giga so no i believe the aggression must be from some crocodile dna or any ultra aggresive animal its size was accurate to the real animal but the legs probably was from T rex so it could hold 8-20 tons of weight it was very smart meaning it might have had another animals genes for brain development etc. and the arms seem very much like spino's but the claws probably wasn't accurate due to the producers etc. not noticing it also the wrists being able to turn in directions the natural bones never could is probz a human piece it recieved now this is all speculation but very interesting to think of
Henry Wu: Hmm we should try replicating feathers on our dinosaurs. Also Henry Wu after trying to replicate feathers on dinosaurs: Yeah I'm not coming back to Isla Sorna.
I think it’s pretty ironic how GOOGLE or the internet in general wants to refuse or deny the fact that the spinosaurus seen in Jurassic world 3 is indeed a HYBRID dinosaur. Knowing damn well that even Henry himself mentioned that the Dinosaur was an incomplete “experiment” gone wrong, even went as far as calling it an accident. He spliced It’s DNA in attempt to complete it at 100% but it was never successful thus rushed into a full blown hybrid, released with other.
Is everyone gonna forget the feathered, well quilled raptors of the same movie?, surely if dr Wu was trying to recreate feathers I doubt he would be working with something as rare as spinosaurus, especially since we don’t know it’s skin covering, whereas velicoraptor (aka deinonychus) did. Plus if it is a hybrid then what of exactly?, the only thing I think could work would be T. rex dna, ironically enough, explaining the more upright posture and smaller spine, but then again it’s arms are still huge,. It just seems weird that you can just accidentally create a super predator when playing with feather genes
I'm just saying I agree. In fact, I was looking for a comment similar to this because it's what I was thinking. It makes far more sense that the jp3 raptors were the result of a feathering experiment than a spinosaurus, hybrid or not.
If spinosaurus fossils are as rare in the JP canon as in real life (where there's only been two partial skeletons ever found, one was destroyed in WWII) then I imagine acquiring viable and complete DNA for one would be even rarer. Wu likely only had very partial spinosaurus DNA to work with, even less than he normally would fill with frog DNA or equivalent. The confirmed public DNA list shows two other dinosaurs of the spinosaurid class however: baryonyx and suchomimus. Those fossils are easier to come by and being related to the spinosaurus could be used to better complete the DNA gaps and still produce something that looks like a spinosaurus and perhaps some rex DNA got in there as well as a fellow large theropod dinosaur. It all makes sense to me as the JPIII spino does seem shaped more like a big baryonyx than an actual spinosaurus.
Also when you come to think of it. All dinosaurs are technically hybrids. Due to the mix of dinosaurs and animals. But Indominus Rex was radically engineered via combining diffrent carnivorous dinosaurs and adding Cuttlefish DNA. But Spinosaurus was technically an engineered dinosaur. Due to it being so radically differ from most JP dinosaur outcomes, besides Velociraptor. Anyways, peace out Ingen comrades!
Amazing video Bro I love how they care enough to resolve these problems we have with certain elements of the jurassic park cannon. To me the spino hybrid just looks like a scaled up suchomimus with a sale on its back maybe its a hybrid of suchomimus baryonix spinosaurus and various other things and mixing them all together created a very aggressive and unstable animal.
Whether it's a hybrid or not, the Spinosaurus is still a pretty COOL dinosaur and I would like to see it again down the line (IF it's still alive though...). Plus the theory that it may have been a hybrid is a pretty good way to patch those inaccuracies (it easily beating the TRex and being more powerful than it's real-life counterpart) about it in the film. I'd rather adopt the theory that it may have been a genetically modified Spinosaurus with genes of it's cousins (Baryonyx and Suchomimus) spliced into it that made it the way it is. Another awesome video, Klayfort! :D
@ Liw Söderqvist That's the beauty of imagination and the creativity of those who contributed to the MasraniGlobal Website. Just like Klayfort said in a previous video- They helped JP3 push through those plot holes and unanswered questions left by the film that made it the most disliked one in the franchise. I never hated JP3 despite it's obvious issues. But now with this information provided by the MasraniGlobal Website, and shared by Klayfort, I now appreciate the JP3 movie even MORE now. Cheers, friends!
Maybe Bebi I nether hated it ether. But to hear this new information on this makes me more 😊happy to here more people start to appreciate 👍 it more. Like you my friend😄
Great video Klayton! I actually like this explanation, it gives the franchise a fresh take on a not so fresh subject... I respect JP3, but it went on the wrong direction that the franchise needed. I kinda want Spino(or a Spino) to come back, but then, wouldn't it be Indominus 2.0(or 0.5, if you take it from this video's perspective)? I hope that in the third part they bring it back and portray it as an animal, not the vengeful killing machine it was.
Keep in mind that, just like many other of the designs of the franchise, the spinosaurus was really accurate for the time it came out. This can also be said for the T.rex, Stegosaurs, Brachiosaurs, and even the raptors, though they were upsized. It could be canonically a non-hybrid in the JP franchise, especially since the paleontology of the franchise was already set apart from real world paleontology as early as the first film.
Klay, pin this. I'mma drop some hot Knowledge: All Dinosaurs are confirmed Hybrids in JP, so technically yea lol. Knowledge cool down initiated. But the exaggerated predator traits (Like the Indo Rex) sounds correct to me.
I wonder if the Spino will make an appearance in the last film coming in 2021. I like the T-Rex more, but it still would be cool to see the Spino again. Hell, it would be cool if the Spino and Rexy fought against another Indominus Rex. Battle of the kings, or something like that.
It probably sounds a little dramatic to say, but you are creating the JP content I've been looking for ever since I was a kid first introduced to the Internet. I look forward to backing you on Patreon very soon. Thank you Klayton!
Yeah that's more then just Frogs there...it also wasn't in it's cage and really didn't seem to give a Frick about Dennis's stick. And once his back was turned woo boy were we in for a ride...I think there was Wu pattened Raptor in it. It even got into the Car....How the HELL IS THAT POSSIBLE!?!
It’s definitely cut from the same cloth as I Rex. Hyper aggressive, powerful and intelligent. It knowingly snapped the neck of the T Rex (unusual killing method in predators) and even managed to quietly sneak up on the group as they tried to get through the fence, only being noticed when the phone in its belly rang. It also used its own dung with the mobile phone in it as a lure, maybe showing it was learning new tactics?
i‘d say as it was cloned InGen didn’t have enough DNA from it so filled some T-Rex DNA to have enough base DNA. Which would explain its high aggression level and massive strength and mass.
Hybrid or not I think we can all agree that the Spinosaurus in JP3 is definitely an over exaggerated version of the real animal like the rest of the creatures of the JP series
You are aware the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park are not dinorsaurs? They have said it in every movie and go into great lengths to explain it in the book. Real Dinosaurs would not look or act like anything in Jurassic Park. While some are closer than others because what they are doing is using incomplete genomes you will get things like the Dilophosaurs frills. And in Gen didn't always correctly classify dinosaurs. Also in the book Dr Grant points what they call a Velociraptor, isn't one.
@@wylie2835 Wrong. On the book Dr. Wu is actually happy his breeding contingency failed and took it as a compliment because he assembled the dinosaurs correctly. He and John Hammond debate and Hammond tells him he gave him TRUE Dino's, to which Dr. Wu said he wanted to make them better. On Jurassic World the point we all forget is driven home, the Dinosaurs Act different than they did on their Eras because "They Did Not have Parents". They have no ingrained behavior. They were born, Raised at light speed with no cohesive education from a parent. Which is why Dr. Wu needed Blue for the Indo Raptor. So that Blue would raise and teach the hybrid the desired actions. It's like you had a baby and we fed it hormones to make him Physically 30yrs old in a span of 3yrs. He would not act like a normal 30yr old man, but that does not make him NOT Human
I mean technically all the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park are hybrids since gaps in their DNA were filled in by other animal DNA. The Spinosaurus being a hybrid would explain why the movie Spinosaurus is so different from the real life Spinosaurus that is said to walk on four legs.
If it's a hybrid that means that its the first. Because E750 (Scorpious rex) was bred and put in stasis before the Indominous was made. Then the Indoraptor was created a few months after tge Indominous incedent. But as we ALL KNOW, literally EVERY DINOSAUR CLONE IN THE FRANCHISE IS A HYBRID. They used frog DNA to complete the genome in the 1st movie, meaning that tgey were making hybrids from the start... The REAL question is whether or not to classify the "normal" dinosaurs of the franchise as "lesser hybrids" due to having less of a mix of DNA when compared to the Indominous for example. If we consider "lesser hybrids" such as Rexy and Blue then look at "greater hybrids" like the Stegoceratops and the Indominous... Does that classify the Spinosaurus as a sort of "mid class hybrid"?
Kangomato cryptid its dead...all the animals that were on isla sorna are dead and the surviving ones were brought to nublar for jurassic world...sorna is empty and abandoned..that's what the newest article says
Kangomato cryptid I'd love for the Spino to come back, and fight some new genetic monster over dominance over Isla Sorna, or alongside a Rex for survival, like Blue in JW. I'm sure that would make Spino fans happy, and not piss of Rex fans!
StriX46 They never killed the ones on Sorna, and they never brought them to nublar, start believing in the movie, not the websites. If it got brought on nublar, it probably swimmed away back to sorna. Or it could have hided on sorna where none of the People could find it. So don't be a 100% I've heard that they're faking his dead too
To those who say Spino dead I respond with this: 1) It survived being rammed by an Airplane, Mercenaries with EXPLOSIVES and guns and was there hiding when it was least expected. 2) It is ONE of a Kind therefore it would be HARDER to hunt not to mention find seeing as it can be on land as well as in the water. 3) It would be a pain to capture and hold seeing as its strong enough to break through fences Jurassic World would be constantly going through the Spino paddack to make sure there weren’t any weak points in the fencing therefore losing money 4) Why waste time on A MISTAKE when there are other More Impressive creatures to look towards and create? And lastly 5) Site B is how big again? More than enough room for a Roamer like the Spino to “hide” from the hunters
Kangomato cryptid True, don't forget that it's faster than the T.rex, It also survived being SHOT like 3 times by Cooper, Survived the T.rex without a WOUND on it's NECK.
Technically all the JP/JW dinos are hybrids seeing as they've got frog DNA in them. Sorry, just had to be "that guy," lol. :P Anyway, great video, man! Hope we do see the Spino again at some point.
I forget where. But someone had an idea of there being two mates. The plane attempting to take off. Propellers gutted him/her when it grabbed Cooper. The rest is its pissed off mate chasing the little alien things around
spino itself isn't a hybrid. its like in the middle. its has different genes but spin was a real dino so it prob wouldnt be hybrid. ps its not a hybrid
Hi Klayton. I don't love them deciding to ret-con the Spinosaurus as a hybrid.. It seems to me like a decision based on the recent theory about the Spinosaurus being quadrupedal (which is honestly shaky at best..well-presented, but the theory doesn't hold much water). Granted the head-crest is absent and it isn't perfect, but it is pretty dang close. What do you think? As always, love the vid, thanks!
I like the change because it makes JP3 make sense now with the whole "it wasn't on InGen's list thing" but I agree the quadrupedal thing is a HUGE issue with the paleontology community. There are so many people rushing to publish their research which is poorely done that its becoming ridiculous. "You stood on the shoulders of geniuses..." :D
One thing is that it being a quadruped is very unlikely but don't conflate that with the small legs, no one is disputing that, it is a fact Spinosaurus was short-legged and walked funny.
To be honest, in a hypothetical fight between the I-rex and the JP3 Spino, there's no way the Indominus could win IF it gets its neck between the Spino's arms and mouth. If the Spino did it to a T-Rex, it could most likely do it to an I-Rex. Lol.
Just subbed to the channel! I love all things jurassic especially The Lost World. Not sure if it's something you do but I would love to see in depth character bios.
David Keyson Or how about we have Superman and Batman team up to defeat a threat strong threat, rather than waste time on a pissing contest. Said it once, and I'll say it again: I want Rexy and Spino to team up like Blue and Rexy did. Give me a Godzilla and Rodan team up over a verse any day of the year.
The thing is...I never thought spinosaurus from Jurassic park was a hybrid anyway. Scorpius rex and indominus rex are known for have a component of several dinosaurs DNA and they even don't resemble any of the dinosaurs (maybe there's a raptor touch tho). Spinosaurus while being really different from his scientifically accurate version still resembled it strongly. So I believe spinosaurus had the general basic spino DNA with several genetic enhancement or "genetically enhanced"
I would say no. Because in the entire Jurassic Franchise, it was never mentioned it was really hybrid. But Dr. Henry Wu mentioned in order to bring dinosaurs back to life, they added modern genetic DNAs from modern animals living today to produce or create them.
Love the video but then does this explain the quill headed raptors aka the Sorna Breed of Velociraptor? Could the feather attempts have gone to the raptors but the amalgamation experiments gone to the other species not on InGen's list?
It could be that after a few generations, the Raptor's DNA had started to clean out the mutations and convert more to how the originals were, or adapted to there environment.
He only appeared in one movie and had 3 minutes of fucking screentime, and some people say he died, and it's so fucking stupid! Rexy is old and she survives a billion movies! And spino appears in one and is said to have died? Shut up!
i definitely agree with the spinosaurus being a hybrid but then again technically all of the animals are hybrids. i honestly dont understand why everyone thinks the feather testing thing refers to the spinosaurus, an animal that has never shown sign of nor none of its relatives showed signs of feathers. let us not forget the one animal no one is talking about, one with partial feathers maybe? the JP3 Raptors, debuting in the 3rd film as with all of these other masrani created dinos and are the first in the canon series to somewhat have feathers which makes much more sense than the spino. i would consider the JP3 raptors to be "monstrous" since i believe that is the only word Wu uses to make people think of the spino.. not to mention that these specific raptors show far superior intelligence and coordination compared to other raptors in the series or even on Sorna
But how was dr wu able to get on the island It is said that the spino was made somewhere around 1998 meaning that ingen had already left the island so how did he do the testing
I wish this was more clear within the fandom, but sadly people (T-rex fanboys specifically) are really hungry to apply reality into an outdated fantasy creature (that's already been built and stapled within the fandom).
Loyola Aguriee the game is not canon and even if u go according to the game laura sorkin died on nublar in 1993 during the incident and spino was made somewhere around 1997-1998
The spino is a failed hybrid. As we saw it was hyper aggressive towards the trex and went in right away. And the spino has been modified with trex dna aswel so if it bites you it wont let go. The rex its bite force with the spinosaurus teeth is unfair because the spino its teeth are made to hold onto its pray. And allowing it to use its claws to inflict deadly wounds. Tbh if it got indominus in the same place as the rex indominus is dead because the spino is bigger and alot more powerful and would snap its neck
Even before watching this, with what came out on both the DPG site and the Masrani Backdoor site, I've long suspected that the Spinosaurus was hybridized in some form or another. But it's nice to see its particular story come full-circle now. 😊
Personally I don’t believe she was a hybrid, just that the filmmakers heavily exaggerated her to seem more powerful and monstrous than a Spinosaur really was. But that’s just me.
Klayton Fioriti an adult would be fun for sure. Such a sleek and unique body design for a carnivore in Jp. Working on a b/w shirt with an inquisitive frill-less juvenile with the quote "Thug Angel" underneath. Dumb i know.
The whole spinosuarus is a hybrid thing really makes us T Rex fans look like wimps, why is it we can't except T Rex lost to the spinosuarus yes in real life T Rex would kick ass but I feel this hybrid thing is just an attempt to feel better. Another thing is that it feels like yous are just trying to push out spinosuarus fans which is just plain unfair, many people love spinosuarus and I also love spinosuarus it's my 2nd favorite dinosaur and I loved seeing it in jp3 but now it seems that the majority of T Rex fans won't allow us to have spinosuarus in jp3, know it's a hybrid and why you may ask? because it killed t rex. In real life T Rex and spinosuarus look nothing like there jp counter parts so saying spinosuarus is a hybrid because it inaccurate falls apart because T rex is also scientifically inaccurate. Also if you are going to say jp3 spinosuarus is a hybrid than don't call it spinosuarus because remember according to them it's not a spinosuarus.
Well you also need to consider the important size difference that gave the Spinosaurus what is literally a huge adventage xD, the Rex was around the 10/11 meters in lenght while the spino around the 13.
OK, I get how you feel, but I like to think that maybe.... just maybe.... this was there original intention when making the Spino. JP3 had so many rewrites and deleted ideas that perhaps in one of them it was a hybrid, or at the very least genetic enhancement?
I imagine you didnt bother to actually read my comment so... 1. I was referring to the fictional JP dinosaurs not the real life counterparts. As stated on the OFFICIAL Jp3 charts, the Tyrannosaurus that was seen on the movie was around the 11 mtrs in lenght, which makes it the smallest adult Trex seen on the saga. 2. 10-12 meters is a MUCH accurate estimation, since theres no solid proof for 14 Tyrannosaurus, all of this started after an incomplete toe bone from the theropod was discovered, yet even Amphicoelias fragillimus is known from better findings, this should tell you how unreliable is the 14 meters estimation.

Mauricio Rodriguez u lil shit (jk its just a prank bro)

The Spinosaurus being an accident could be a part of the reason it was hyper-aggresive.
Yes! Like a precursor of the Indominus! Makes sense as both bastards where fixated enough on killing, not just surviving.
Good idea!
And that it only used two legs instead of four like it was proven to.
Jorge Torres - Omg that makes so much sense! Also the spino was proven to have walked on all fours, so us knowing its a hybrid makes up for the inaccuracy.
DankEngine he could walk on both legs as well

Spinosaurus walking on all fours has never been proven, it is just a theory. Many paleontologists actually expressed serious doubts about it, as they believe the wrists would not have been strong enough to carry the animal. However, it has been proven that Spinosaurus had very short hind limbs, wich, along with its paddle-like tail, would have made it very awkward on land. But I agree that the hybrid theory makes a lot of sense.
I think the series is becoming way too dependent on hybrids which isn’t good in my opinion.
Honestly I don't mind Hybrids, but I admit the big selling point SHOULDNT be Hybrids. I say this even with the desire for a list of hybrids in Jurassic World Evolution, but they are not the reason I want the game, far from it
Nothing in Jurassic Park is natural.
Elemental Jedi we’ll you better be happy cause Colin (the director of JWFK) said there would be no hybrids in Jurassic world 3
SCP 939 the director of JWFK was J A Bayona not Collin. Collin was just the writer
THANK TOU
I think a possible explanation for the quilled velociraptors in JP3 could be that they too were products of the attempts to reproduce feathers in dinosaurs or the amalgam testing. Of course, the differences in the raptors' appearance in JP3 compared to the other movies is the result of creative differences, but this explanation could be retconned in.
Interestingly enough the raptors made by I.B.R.I.S. (Blue, Charlie, Echo, Delta and V-2) have the same skull shape that the quilled raptors. That could be proof of Wu's late work on a different raptor species left in Nublar.
Aitipse Arthur ibris was a raptor not a company it failed and was aggressive
I.B.R.I.S. was a proect and it stands for "Integrated Behavioral Raptor Intelligence Study"
The raptor you are talking about is Subect V-2, who got euthanized for it's agressivity
Aitipse Arthur And Subject A-2
Nathan Martin I think raptors are different with the outcome of different added genomes
"It's a Tyrannosaurus...!"
"I don't think so... it sounds... bigger..."
**Cue professional mercenaries fleeing from the jungle as if a demon was after them**
Regardless of whether or not that individual Spino was a hybrid or not, there's no arguing the fact that IT WAS BADASS.
ORBITALZz Meh, fear is subjective. Nothing anybody can do to change it.
Youre so cringey
Oh man wish I could have watched all the Jurassic park movies in school
Any wet chairs?
It’s nice to finally get some information on the mystery of the origins of the Spinosaurus. I honestly would love to see it again, I know some fans hate it for killing a T-Rex, which yes, kind of sucked, but I still thought the Spinosaurus was a cool edition to the Jurassic Park franchise.
Indeed.
Spino was great
Tyrannical Rex indeed its sucks that spino killd the bull trex
if they wanted a dinosaur that can kill trex they could have used Gigantosaurus or some other large theropod that was also a hunter. spinosaurus is a fish-eating dinosaur. it can't fight trex and win.
@@pasidinu8465 the spinosaurus in jp3 is an over power apex predator that is canon to the franchise. Reality spinosaurus is a big fish eater.
Face it , the spinosaur in Jurassic park would easily always win over trex , but real life is always a different situation lol
In real life they wont really fight that much
@@yodathejedimaster7781 yeah not at all actually because The Spinosaurus lived in the Jurassic era while the Rex lived in the Cretaceous era
@@JurassicGage what the f? spinosaurus lived in the cretaceous period
Aren’t they all technically hybrid dinosaurs?... please don’t bash my stupidity too hard
Eduardo Chavez yes they are cuz the Dino DNA was incomplete so they had to use frog DNA
Your not wrong those.
Am wounding if they just put a fin on the suchomimus? it would be a hybridized anyways. The size and fin of Spino then walking upright part.
Yes. They aren’t pure Dino, they have modern day animal dna to fill in the gaps of the Dino dna. Ur right, that wasn’t stupid.
KingKong19100 I agree, and personally I can see him even wining a fight against Indominus... He's not as smart but I can see that happening
I would love to see it!!
technically aren't all the dinos hybrids anyway cause they all have dna from frogs and shit
smash hit 101 good point, I think we're considering a Hybrid from the point in which the appearance looks different from the fossil record
The first time I have ever seen a spinosaurs was actually a hybrid......just....wow!
Dino Boy27 ich habe this seen Many times before but I didn‘t want to belive it😭
Well if it makes you feel any better evidence has come out to suggest that it actually could walk on two legs and 4 legs so it's kinda accurate!
It was helluva slow on land tho apparently
MrAaaaaaaaa9 that’s been debunked
Agh, I hate when german infiltrates my english!
You just call it an Amalgamation if that is easier for you.
I really like this theory and as a kid I would have loved to hear this because I hated the Spinosaurus for a long time because how it easily killed my favorite dinosaur. If I knew that it was an Almagan or whatever, I think I would have cared less. Today it’s just nice to know that the Spino was modified a bit to be stronger, thus making it cooler and also making the kid side of me feel better that the T-Rex never stood a chance against a modified Spino.
its not a hybrid that simple
A lot of people didn’t like how the spinosaurus kill the Trex, but I really liked the introduction of a new main Dinosaur for JP3. I like that this movie is very different from the first 2. I like how it is a VERY different, the greenery is different, the main dinosaur is different, and the velociraptors look different. I feel like where JP1&2, the color pallet for most scenes is Green and yellow, and JW is Blue and white, but in JP3 is green and blue, I would say. It killing the Trex shows that they are in different territory now.
Klayton, you rock, man! I love your work and dedication on your videos. Always good when you upload more content. Cheers!
I hope they have Spinosaurus in JPE; it wouldn't feel "right" to not have it. Looking forward to future content. Good work!
Spinosaurus has been confirmed as one of the 40 species of Dinosaurs that will be at release
Max Gareth I fucking hope they place him in the hybrid skill tree they show.
There are a few that believe with JWE having the 3 branch system (security, science, and entertainment ) that the Indo-Rex might become unlockable when reaching a certain "rank". Maybe the jp3 spino might be the same way. This is just a theory, based on another theory
@@Tommytuf it won't confirmed not a hybrid
What’s jpe?
Just imagine the Spinosaurus being released in San Diego...the death count would probably be more staggering compared to the 1997 incident

Practical Theist doesn't mean it can't hunt humans
BrownProductions lol Zika! Ikr so true!
Later on after JW seeing that the movie was a total sucess, the canon needed an updated and this dino needed some sort of explaination about its origins, seeing this as a good opportunity, they decided to make a vaild backstory for the Spino, in order to.... well, fix the mess that the third movie did, it was an accident and plot whole in the story that actually they manage to repair, so thats something good, and gives an opportunity of making a possible return for this dino, hopelly they will gave us a hit of some sort or an easter egg in Fallen Kingdom about "Spike" XD
the new croc theory spino looks awful
While true the open plotline that InGen was doing hidden experiments was planted in JP3 movie itself both by Grant's own comments and the lab scenes. Basically, Jurassic Park 3 created open plot threads but didn't close them and Jurassic World's team just decided to fill the blanks in order to create a stable backstory for their newer movies. It's a technique often used in comics where the writers go back and basically clean up, retcon or clarify everything that's occured in order for the story to retain consistencyin stories created by different writers.
@@StrikeTeam99 i think it looks cooler

Spino deserves a comeback
Yes I called him Spino, that will forever be his name........Spino
Sure, to be massacred by the T-Rex.
Sam Lemont exactly
Why cause you hate it?
Marge Marge cause they're dying to satisfy their frustration on the T-rex being killed

As much as I despise the Spino killing Rex in Jp3, I totally love the actual animal for its uniqueness and feel a bit bad for it getting the hatred of Joe Johnston's stupid mistake...also it being written off just like that is also quite sad
Yeah.
Other than the less-than-ideally executed fight scene, Spino = underrated.
I absolutely love the Spinosaurus, but still understand that it should’ve been easily curved by the Tyrannosaurus.

Why are people mad that it killed the Rex? First of all, if any animal had the strength to break the neck of a Rex it would die and it’s a hybrid did you see what the Indominus could do? Also the Indominus would have killed rexy if Blue didn’t attack her. Wonder if people will be mad if she did
I love how I learn new things every video!:)
Hmmm that sounds interesting
oh great! what an creative and constructive comment for once!
Y'know regardless of if JP3 was the worst in the series, and it is, I'm just glad they aren't shying away from it like we all expected.
They could easily ignore it and make like it never happened considering how contained it was...but they aren't. They are accepting and adapting it, and that has my respect.
Bloodmoon Alpha Yeah, no. I love _III_ but it is by far the weakest part of the franchise.
Bloodmoon Alpha
Dude...Honestly, I don't much like the Rex anymore, if I'm honest.
Wolf SKULL Took my words out of my mouth. Agreed.
Jurassic World is the worst imho
I think it would be a major hybrid. It looks little like the real Dinosaur, it's very aggressive, and seems to be slightly armored. It seems like an Amalgam of an Abelisaur and Spinosaur
Thats an interesting analysis
Klayton Fioriti
Thank you. I think it may be a Gigantosaurus, Suchomimus, and Spinosaurus. Giga for size and armor, Spino as a base, and Sucho to stabilize it(and explain it's head being more streamlined and having smaller hand claws)
Bryce Mckenzie I think it's Giga for size and thick hide, Sucho for body structure and Spino for snout and sail
Andrew Maliberan
So the same thing I said
Spino was larger and outweighed Giga so no i believe the aggression must be from some crocodile dna or any ultra aggresive animal its size was accurate to the real animal but the legs probably was from T rex so it could hold 8-20 tons of weight it was very smart meaning it might have had another animals genes for brain development etc. and the arms seem very much like spino's but the claws probably wasn't accurate due to the producers etc. not noticing it also the wrists being able to turn in directions the natural bones never could is probz a human piece it recieved now this is all speculation but very interesting to think of
Henry Wu: Hmm we should try replicating feathers on our dinosaurs.
Ryaquaza 1 THANK YOU!!!
Garrett Drudik um your welcome, just speaking my mind here
I'm just saying I agree.
Then Dr. Wu would've said "those accidents" instead of "that accident."
I love both spino and t rex. That shit's my childhood man
Also when you come to think of it.
I can happily say that thanks primarily to your videos I have not been left in the dark.
“What Hammond created on that island was theme park monsters nothing more and nothing less” -Alan grant (idk if I got it right)
Even if it is or not a hybrid it's still scary as hell.
Everyone always uses t rexes as something to kill it!
Only rexy! Not the one from the lost world! And from jp3!
TheErtual I actually had more nightmares on Spino than a T-rex when I was a child

All I have to say is your videos are pure genius. I look forward to new videos.
Given the latest discovery, I can say that InGen really did a hybrid of Spinosaurus legit before Indominus Rex
And the scorpius rex (I know the comment was made before camp Cretaceous s3)
Keep in mind that, just like many other of the designs of the franchise, the spinosaurus was really accurate for the time it came out. This can also be said for the T.rex, Stegosaurs, Brachiosaurs, and even the raptors, though they were upsized. It could be canonically a non-hybrid in the JP franchise, especially since the paleontology of the franchise was already set apart from real world paleontology as early as the first film.
Maybe wu's experiments confirm why the Ceratosaurus was bigger than an actual one
I got into the Masrani backdoor website, thanks to your help. I was able to find out a few things, and I am having way too much fun

Thanks! That clears things up a bit!
I just hope they put it in Jurassic Wolrd Evolution! ever since I saw this Dino I loved it!
It must have been.
TopNotchBread no normal animal is that aggressive
i‘d say as it was cloned InGen didn’t have enough DNA from it so filled some T-Rex DNA to have enough base DNA. Which would explain its high aggression level and massive strength and mass.
Same with Ceratosaurus which explains its very T-Rex like head.
And to why it was attracted by the Rex. For whatever reason
Uriel Carrazco I think it's rexsexual 😂😂😂
IIRC, it was because T.rex Urine attracted it. which is pretty weird...

Hybrid or not I think we can all agree that the Spinosaurus in JP3 is definitely an over exaggerated version of the real animal like the rest of the creatures of the JP series
Jahir Sanchez I agree, it's fictional anyway so I don't take this too seriously
Is literally the point of the movies lol
Just like the Velociraptors
I think now they are saying that it walked on two legs again.....I seriously don't know anymore.
lolguy maybe it walks on whatever is convenient for it.
I think it is said that it was impossible for it to use its front "legs" because its weight would have broken them.
lolguy makes sense. I like the spinosaurus movie design so I️ was shocked to hear new info state it walked on four legs.
It prbably walked on two legs, but they were shorter than that of most theropods.
I recognized that background music at the start instantly, Daryl's work is amazing
Every dinosaur is a hybrid. They're all part frog
I highly doubt it’s dead so yes I do believe it will make a return
Hopefully as an Antihero like Rexy
So don't be a 100%
I've heard that they're faking his dead too
To those who say Spino dead I respond with this:
1) It survived being rammed by an Airplane, Mercenaries with EXPLOSIVES and guns and was there hiding when it was least expected.
2) It is ONE of a Kind therefore it would be HARDER to hunt not to mention find seeing as it can be on land as well as in the water.
3) It would be a pain to capture and hold seeing as its strong enough to break through fences Jurassic World would be constantly going through the Spino paddack to make sure there weren’t any weak points in the fencing therefore losing money
4) Why waste time on A MISTAKE when there are other More Impressive creatures to look towards and create?
And lastly
5) Site B is how big again? More than enough room for a Roamer like the Spino to “hide” from the hunters
Kangomato cryptid True, don't forget that it's faster than the T.rex, It also survived being SHOT like 3 times by Cooper, Survived the T.rex without a WOUND on it's NECK.
The Spino and Indominus are extremely similar, so I believe it.
Why are they similar ?

I wonder if the spino will be a "hybrid creature " in Jurassic world evolution then?
spino itself isn't a hybrid. its like in the middle. its has different genes but spin was a real dino so it prob wouldnt be hybrid. ps its not a hybrid
HoveringAboveMyself actually spinosaurus legs were while still shorter proportionally than most theropods 27% longer than the 2014 studies showed.
HoveringAboveMyself the only complete skeleton was destroyed in Germany in WW2 and I don't think its feet were that short
Connor Leach exactly, the proportions look off especially the huge body with short legs. Doesn't make sense to me
To be honest, in a hypothetical fight between the I-rex and the JP3 Spino, there's no way the Indominus could win IF it gets its neck between the Spino's arms and mouth. If the Spino did it to a T-Rex, it could most likely do it to an I-Rex. Lol.
I love all of your videos. Find them quite interesting
Just subbed to the channel! I love all things jurassic especially The Lost World. Not sure if it's something you do but I would love to see in depth character bios.
Site B Spino vs. Rexy, winner to claim all future logos.
😂
David Keyson
Or how about we have Superman and Batman team up to defeat a threat strong threat, rather than waste time on a pissing contest.
Said it once, and I'll say it again: I want Rexy and Spino to team up like Blue and Rexy did. Give me a Godzilla and Rodan team up over a verse any day of the year.
Rexy is smaller than the site B t-rex though. ;)
Aiman Imran you are joking right? Rexy is the biggest t.rex in the Jurassic park franchise, it is even larger than the spinosaurus in jp3.
@@vikutaa rexy is only inches bigger than the jp3 spinosaurus
Early so I'll make a joke...
Hybrids were introduced in Jurassic World.
Super KameHameHa it could also have been introduce in Jp 3 like klaton said in this video
@@liwsoderqvist5740 its a joke
Its not a joke?
This is now disproven because E750 “Scorpios Rex” was the first hybrid.
E750 was the first intentional hybrid.
Its funny how only ONE dinosaur can cause sooo much mayhem in one day
I would say no.
Maybe....possibly something else going on
It could be that after a few generations, the Raptor's DNA had started to clean out the mutations and convert more to how the originals were, or adapted to there environment.
Are you going to review the toys?
I'm honestly not sure just yet....but its very possible!
It can be whatever the hell it wants, this is America!
I love how nonchalant you are about liking and subscribing, you’re not like other you tubers who demand that you like and subscribe!
Clearly the best JP/JW info vids exist on this channel !
Please! I want Spino!!! He doesn't need to have much screen time, I just want to see him!!!
Victor Ribeiro would be very awesome as a surprise
just like in jp3 the ceratosaurus
pinselchen ツ It would!
He only appeared in one movie and had 3 minutes of fucking screentime, and some people say he died, and it's so fucking stupid! Rexy is old and she survives a billion movies! And spino appears in one and is said to have died? Shut up!
Terence Alexander JP3 Spino is 18 Meters and Indominus is 15 Meters. So: JP3 Spino > Indominus
If spinosaurus is a hybrid what dinosaur will it be to make a spinosaurus huh
Probably Rex along with majority Spino or Baryonyx
@@KlaytonFioriti I’d say (even tho dimetrodon isn’t a Dino) that and baryonyx
I’m kinda early because only a hour late
Fun fact all dinosaurs even the first movie it was said in the opening video they had amphibian dna
I love the Spino, i hope to see it again!
i definitely agree with the spinosaurus being a hybrid but then again technically all of the animals are hybrids. i honestly dont understand why everyone thinks the feather testing thing refers to the spinosaurus, an animal that has never shown sign of nor none of its relatives showed signs of feathers. let us not forget the one animal no one is talking about, one with partial feathers maybe? the JP3 Raptors, debuting in the 3rd film as with all of these other masrani created dinos and are the first in the canon series to somewhat have feathers which makes much more sense than the spino. i would consider the JP3 raptors to be "monstrous" since i believe that is the only word Wu uses to make people think of the spino.. not to mention that these specific raptors show far superior intelligence and coordination compared to other raptors in the series or even on Sorna
Well said
But how was dr wu able to get on the island
It is said that the spino was made somewhere around 1998 meaning that ingen had already left the island so how did he do the testing
I wish this was more clear within the fandom, but sadly people (T-rex fanboys specifically) are really hungry to apply reality into an outdated fantasy creature (that's already been built and stapled within the fandom).
If ur familar with the 2011 game, i feel the spinosaurus was a laura sorkin project
Loyola Aguriee the game is not canon and even if u go according to the game laura sorkin died on nublar in 1993 during the incident and spino was made somewhere around 1997-1998
I feel the Spino is less of a hybrid and more of a genetically enhanced monster.
So basically if master chief was a dinosaur
As seen all his characteristics, he's a hybrid-like Suchomimus mixed with Dimetrodon and Tyrannosaurus Rex DNA.
Even before watching this, with what came out on both the DPG site and the Masrani Backdoor site, I've long suspected that the Spinosaurus was hybridized in some form or another. But it's nice to see its particular story come full-circle now. 😊
And great vid like always
Personally I don’t believe she was a hybrid, just that the filmmakers heavily exaggerated her to seem more powerful and monstrous than a Spinosaur really was. But that’s just me.
Joshua Strittmatter Its a he
Well, we don’t know. His/her gender hasn’t been confirmed. Personally I believe it’s a she. But that’s just me. What do you believe?
I see Spino as a She too, every dinosaure in JP was female, and there is only one spino, so it's probably a female
Broken record here, why isn't there more talk of the Spitter© being a weaponized hybrid with all evidence it couldn'tnt spit -Vernon- venom. The spino is a cool one off none the less.
Idk but that would be cool! I'd love to see an adult one in the future (maybe without the frill) I love the design though!
That's my rambling done for today
Well you also need to consider the important size difference that gave the Spinosaurus what is literally a huge adventage xD, the Rex was around the 10/11 meters in lenght while the spino around the 13.
OK, I get how you feel, but I like to think that maybe.... just maybe.... this was there original intention when making the Spino. JP3 had so many rewrites and deleted ideas that perhaps in one of them it was a hybrid, or at the very least genetic enhancement?
Nope. T.rex is 12-14 meters, and spino is 10-15 meters. Rex has the weight, height and strength advantage.
What if the spinosaurus was just naturally aggressive and Ingen used it’s dna in the I-Rex and that’s why I-Rex is so aggressive
