Not gonna lie, when i first saw the thumbnail, i thought this would be a story about a mother who went crazy because she lost her real son in a car accident or something along those lines... But i am kinda glad it turned out to just be a fun arts project...
As someone who OWNS one of those hyper realistic baby dolls Wang mentions in the start of the video and quite involved in the online aspect of those dolls, some women do make replicas of their real children (sometimes living, sometimes of those who have passed) BUT it’s not the weirdest thing in the world; one mans weird is another’s normal. I PERSONALLY just think their cute and works of art though. Love the video Wang!
This is soo fascinating to me as someone who had the polar oposite kind of mother (basically did everything in her power to avoid me as much as possible for the time I was born to being kicked out at 17). There really is a wide spectrum of motherhood from neglectful to ultra clingy.
Knitter here; I’ve seen this story all over the internet but yours is the first deep dive I’ve seen into it. Which is odd considering the amount of time is spend browsing yarn-related stuff. Honestly, I’d put this in the ‘odd but harmless’ category and moved on. I had no idea she does that type of professional knitting, but it explains everything. Thanks!
I’m glad this is how the story went. I was expecting to click the video and hear a story about a mother who’s son died, so she created a knitted version of Him and refused to accept he was dead.
I dont find it creepy . It was an art project. Im sure she doesnt want to cuddle with it. She probably wanted to get an attention grabbing headline to get views. It worked. Shes not creepy. Shes talented
Her mistake was joking about treating an inanimate object like a real person on the internet, where body pillows and waifu dolls are commonplace. She's not creepy, but she accidentally made herself look like she was one of the crowd that often is.
This thing is honestly awesome with context. I was worried it would be passive aggressive, but she just had fun with her hobby and its definitely more of a joke.

@@magusperde365 You should it's one hell of a bonding experience
That's great. Just great. Good to know. Wonderful. Dandy.
The cum box does not count as offspring.
Your username and profile pic makes this so much better.
Or worse.
As strange as it is, it's harmless and nobody was hurt. Everyone seems to be having fun and consenting so power to them
It's amazing what you can make out of yarn. If anyone looks into yarn bombing, you can see how elaborate some artists get with the material.
"super elaborate painting out of yarn like pixel art" and I'm here cross stitching while watching and practically screamed.
Being Dutch, hearing "from the Netherlands" sent me to a different realm.

I legit got scared when he said dutch

I continue to love hearing you say "bones".
I looked into the site to look at some of her work, and it's like, really good. I actually love some of the pieces a ton.
"needs his mother to back off a little and give him a little space to breathe"
Ah yes, "to breathe".
Brœther....
I dont get it
Boys just love locking themselves in their room, spending hours alone, breathing.
This is simultaneously cursed and wholesome.
“Technically yes” to bones inside?
Calling it now, she filled it with his baby teeth.
Wow, what an amazing power of foresight! Good call.
i was just gonna guess that he was cremated and put into it, glad that’s not what it was tho
That was my guess. I'm only two minutes in.
@@ElysetheEevee knew it
I thought so too but teeth arn't technically bones
This is soo fascinating to me as someone who had the polar oposite kind of mother (basically did everything in her power to avoid me as much as possible for the time I was born to being kicked out at 17). There really is a wide spectrum of motherhood from neglectful to ultra clingy.
I thought I would be weirded out, but now I wanna pick up knitting again. The details on the hands and the shrimps are pretty good.
Thanks!
This is so cool actually... this mom seems really sweet and talented and her son doesn’t seem to mind either
WHANG really sat down and decided to _yarn_ us a tale with this one
You're really pulling on my heart strings here, dude
>:(
@@Reshiram543 You're not here to string me along are you? Sorry, I'm afraid I'm all tied up at the moment.
Please explain the joke
@@johndillermand4053 lmao.
Please, sheep going, puns only get better the more there are.
I’m glad this is how the story went. I was expecting to click the video and hear a story about a mother who’s son died, so she created a knitted version of Him and refused to accept he was dead.
This colorful yarn was knit exactly what I was expecting - but it left me in stitches nonetheless.
This is honestly so cool, I never knew I needed a knitted shrimp pasta in my life
I dont find it creepy . It was an art project. Im sure she doesnt want to cuddle with it. She probably wanted to get an attention grabbing headline to get views. It worked. Shes not creepy. Shes talented
Something can be creepy and talented at the same time, this mostly creepy. Also 34 likes lol
No, it's creepy

Let's agree to disagree
Her mistake was joking about treating an inanimate object like a real person on the internet, where body pillows and waifu dolls are commonplace. She's not creepy, but she accidentally made herself look like she was one of the crowd that often is.

this is the kind of break from reality i can get behind, soft sculpture to replace blood
Its like a kinda wholesome version of sex dolls.
As in, an inanimate object to satisfy the need for human contact. Only its not meant for the nasty
@@Sabrowsky she honestly seems like a very sweet a talented lady, i'm glad she has her yarn cuddle boy
Wanna make one
He’s absolutely the “yarn suit” kid at school
I wouldn't mess with a kid whose mom can probably make a functionnal medieval weapon out of yarn.
The best thing about learning a new language is finding out gems like the "he's hung like this" joke
This thing is honestly awesome with context. I was worried it would be passive aggressive, but she just had fun with her hobby and its definitely more of a joke.
Thank you for making a link for the pixel things
As one who absolutely loves yarn crafts, this fills me with an unholy glee. This woman is a goddess.
Yarn Boy is Sack Boy’s cousin. This is my Little Big Planet head canon!
I like this head cannon~

This reminds me of "the dollmaker" on RUclips. Except this is more weird and wholesome than scary and sad
What if the mum is actually made of yarn too?
This so cool!!! This lady is a great artist!
As someone who knows how to crochet (and has tried to knit), I think it's cool. The original title definitely concerned me, but after seeing her business, I completely understand her.
I misread the title as “Mom Replaces Her Son With a Boy made of Yam” and I am slightly disappointed
Yam
Yam is good tho
Video idea: the Kanye Quest rpg game mystery that turned out to be an ARG for a music group
YES
Isn't that topic already covered by Nexpo/MamaMax? Unless if there's a new info about it then Whang should def make a vid about that
@@ShevaDecai yeah, but I don’t think they ever got to a true answer to it. They figured that it was likely an ARG but never determined the source
@@ShevaDecai So I may be mistaken but MamaMax's video about Kanye Quest was heavily mystified (as in it treated the subject as an actual mystic thing). IMHO there was only *one* youtuber who actually covered the subject in a proper way, but the video is in Brazilian Portuguese and there are no subs (damn youtube for removing the community captions feature), so it's not easily accessible for everyone.
dammit, that jesus joke is the only one I've got.
I can't believe I'd never heard that before.
It's *STILL* the only one I've got. -_-
Just happened to find this while knitting. Perfect.
It's a lil strange, but when you want to challenge yourself to make something that challenging it's impressive.
I'm a crocheter, and a mom...i still think it's kinda weird. But hats off to her for choosing knitting to sculpt something this sturdy and intricate. That's some serious flexing.
Came for the creep, stayed for the surprisingly sweet...
“An obstinate slogan” I love it

As a Dutchie, thanks for covering this!
