surely this will be nerfed - you can actually fracture influenced mods now [poe 3.24 necropolis]

  • so after some further testing, you can awaken fractured influenced items together, but the fractured modifier from the sacrificed item will no longer be fractured when it moves to the new item. i haven't tested orb of dominance yet, but i'm assuming that you can either elevate a non-fractured mod, or it will hit the fractured mod and do nothing. so it's a 50/50 chance to succeed with no bricking/deleting. this is pretty insane. necropolis league really do be shaking up the game.

    ok after posting someone linked me to a thread on reddit about it, but i still don't see a ton of people talking about how insane the potential of this actually is. do you think it's intentional? or will it be something that will get nerfed. let me know your thoughts

    • @divinityai

      i think they won't nerf it because some guys already did items that won't be available to others... that's bs in terms in one league.

      I think its intentional. It was literally the first thing I though of when I saw it on the list of corpses on poedb but the corpse wasn't available before now.

      Considering that they said tthat this was the most broken league mechanic and that they were "actually breaking the game" when they put it out, i think if it's not intentional it's at leasst a consideration

      @@neos8421 true enough, they also have a way to search for fractured influenced mods on the trade site. i'm not sure if that existed before, but it definitely does now. so maybe it is intentional

      Same with nerf of rouge farm strat it was a fast and good reacted nerf but now people who farmed it for long have tons of currency and people who just come after 1 week to the league have nothing and prices in the poe trade is bonkers.

    This is so broken.. I think this is an overlook from GGG. No way this was intended! A lot of bugs, exploits & overlooks in this Necropolis league. And this comes from a long time devoted Path Of Exile player; I always defended them

  • @ShadowManceri

    Problem with nerfing this is that people have already used it. It would make very unfair economy where people have some unobtainable items. You can't really remove the items from people either. Even some half-method like removing the state of it being fractured would still leave people with OP items as they were able to craft them rather easily.

    Hello, I'm back again to this video and I have a question directly related to it: I'm trying to learn how to use the craft of exile website to generate corpses/test crafting an item with these crafting mods, but I'm struggling greatly to understand that. Would it be possible you make a short video tutorial on which settings you used there for it to show you that corpse setup?
    I can assume if I use your corpses I'd possibly generate the correct fractured mods, but I'd like to fully understand if possible.

    • @teekeh
      @teekeh  5 месяцев назад +1

      craft of exile doesn't properly calculate the corpse that adds chance to roll influenced modifiers. basically when you use the influenced item corpse you have a 50/50 on the shaper/elder corpse, and a 25% chance on the conqueror corpse to hit the influence you want. so keep in mind whatever craft of exile is showing is going to be a 50/50 to even reach that result (or a 1 in 4 if you're using conqueror)
      what i did was generate graveyard using CoE for elder helmets with concentrated effect selected as what i wanted on the end result. i reduced the total grave site by i believe 16 corpses, since i needed to use 8x fracture, 4x split, 2x item level, -1 explicit and 1x elder/shaper influence. then i used a graveyard tool at necropolis.pathoftools.com to add in some adjacent/row/column boosting corpses to increase the value of each corpse and reduce the overall cost
      in the case of this helmet, gem modifiers boosts +level to all minion skill gems, concentrated effect, less duration, minion damage, minion maximum life, immolate and burning damage
      unfortunately, the only "gem" tagged mods we can reduce is the minion life (by using reduced chance to roll life modifiers) and burning/immolate (reduced chance to roll fire) however +2 to minion is a very low weighting so it has a far lesser chance to roll.
      so we're basically ending up with
      50% chance to hit the right base
      and approx 32% chance to hit the concentrated effect mod
      since we're creating a rare with 3 modifiers we'll likely have 2 prefixes and 1 suffix, so i used the split craft to add another layer to hopefully isolate the mod i want without having another useless fracture on it
      if i hadn't used the split, the end result would have been fractured concentrated effect and fractured spell block, which isn't very desirable. and if i didn't fracture 2 modifiers, the chance to land the fracture i actually wanted would have been another 33% roll on top of the already heavy rng.
      if you need any specific help i'm usually around in my discord, the link is in the description of the video. i'm not sure if i'll get around to making a full overview on how to optimize graveyard crafting for influenced bases since there's a ton of rng involved depending on what you're trying to craft

      @@teekeh Thank you so much for the detailed response! That has definitely helped me understand exactly how to try to get the fractured mods a lot better, along with basically brute-forcing myself on craftofexile until I figured out how to add and remove things properly to try to craft items with the graveyard. I'm absolutely going to join your discord too!

      i actually just tested this! you can awakener orb them, but the mod taken from the destroyed item does not remain fractured, it will be copied to the new item as a non-fractured mod
      it does protect all of the fractures on the base you select second though

    • @teekeh
      @teekeh  5 месяцев назад

      @@lagarttemido no i don't believe so. you can't fracture an influenced item outside of the graveyard, and using the graveyard method there's no way to elevate the mod. once it's fractured on the influenced base there's no way to change it

    This is (probably) intentional. GGG has allowed OP crafting mechanics in the past to combine fractured and influenced items. I know that recombinators can do it, and if I remember correctly OG Harvest was also capable of it. GGG also has a history of never bringing these mechanics back a league later since yes, it is very very overpowered, but it's probably both intentional and will stick around the rest of the league.

    The real big tech is what the grasping mail is using where they fractured non influenced mods. This enables using the woke orb and craft as you would a normal double influenced item but you have one or more free non influenced fractured mods.

    This is only a little related but do you know if it's possible to fracture the +1 fire gem recipe onto a sceptre somehow?
    You mentioned RF and that's my favourite build so I waste so much time trying to buy quality gems for the recipe (especially as I can't seem to only show fire gems on the trade website). I am rather new/inexperienced with the game, apologies.

    • @teekeh
      @teekeh  5 месяцев назад +2

      you can use a fracturing orb for that, or try to fracture it via the graveyard... however it's likely cheaper to buy them already fractured if you're in trade league.
      you can search for scepters, and then select +1 to all fire spell skill gems with the FRACTURED tag on the left side on the trade site
      i'm sure pohx has some more info on the crafting process and what you should be looking out for on the trade website. his site is pohx.net. it's the holy grail of RF information

      Because the mirror if fully linked can sell for 1/3 the divs in some cases for those that need gear to get by and don't like the mechanic in necropolis. My mirrors always sell and it's basically just additional currency at that point.
