It needs a small hole in the end of the baffle for the best of both worlds, had the same problem. A 5/16 hole in the back did the trick. Not too loud and not like stick with the baffles in 💯

    Less holes less sound ?
And more holes/bigger are more lauder ???

Bigger hole, more exhaust I would say. After this video I just ran it without the baffle either way lol

It's sort of late for you, but my advice for others who try: use a workbench to support the material you drill, not your knees and hands. That's so stupid. Learned it the hard way, at my own cost...

With that kind of CC you need at least a 28mm hole at the cap, if not you will cause engine damage👍

don’t you think a before and after at the end would have helped to compare the sound difference?
i currently drive a svartpilen 701 with stock exhaust and wait for the remus to come out.
but thanks for sharing and keep up your good work.

chicken clown I honestly don’t think it was that big of a difference. It doesn’t really matter thought. I love how it sounds and rides without the baffle. Smoother power and your feel that bite.

Hi, did you do any mounting mods? how does your silencer sit so close to the plastic cover and the seat whereas everyone else has a big gap between the bike and the exhaust? thanks!

No mounting mods, just used the parts that came with the exhaust. I did shorten my exhaust after this video though.

@@HDSupermoto hi thanks. how did you manage to do that? really like the looks of that!

I just cut the canister and the core. Then drilled new holes for the cap rivets.

Make sure you make the cut straight so it sits flush.

@@HDSupermoto Done! I'm About to pull the trigger on a ktm 790 or the new 701 SM any advice ?

    • @HDSupermoto
      @HDSupermoto  5 лет назад

Jr Belmont it depends on what you want. The 790 seems more for someone who is going on long distance adventures. The 701 can be daily ridden, and is lighter for someone who likes to more hoonigan type of riding.
Service intervals on the 701 are every: 6,200 miles and 9,300 on 790.
I think it all depends on what you want to do
