Congratulations Eddie on being included in The Hollywood Reporter's top 100 film books of all time. I have your books and had the pleasure of meeting you at Cinecon years ago. That was jake.
If I'm not too late - correction: Laughing Sal was filmed at Nu-Pike in Long Beach. The movie Woman on the Run was released in 1950 but POP didn't open until 1958. I know that Nu-Pike creature (over the funhouse ride) because it traumatized me when I was a kid! LOL (Love your show, watch it every episode, you guys are both so great.)
Hurrah for Alan Ladd's Box 13! Talk about tight writing, the episodes are exemplars. They are 52, a brief 30 minutes, all on RUclips, I hope people will listen to to this fine series. The writer- detective Dan Holiday, who never accepts payment, even has a ditsy receptionist. There's not always a crime, just human situations. Don't miss them! "newspaperman-turned-mystery novelist Dan Holiday, played by film star Alan Ladd. Created by Ladd's company, Mayfair Productions, Box 13 aired in different cities over different dates and times. It first aired in several United States radio markets in October 1947. Guest stars included Raymond Burr" Wikipedia
Indubitably ! Well said and well put ! It's a wonderful program from the Golden Age of Theater. Listened to many of them years ago when one of our local radio stations broadcast old radio show ever night.
Another crackerjack episode ! A world of thanks go out to Anne, Eddie, Tizzy, Charlotte & the viewers who sent in such fascinating questions ! I learn SO much from every one of these shows ! So happy to hear about Alan Ladd's terrific radio series ("Box 13), the eerie thriller "Don't Look Now" & the weird but compelling "Who Killed Teddy Bear ?" (which -surprisingly - I saw for the first time on late night localTV, back in the mid-70s (before the advent of cable, satellite or home video) !
So I just had to pause watching Eddie and Anne and go watch (for the first time) Don’t Look Now. Absolutely wonderful… I felt like the plot was mirroring the alleyways of Venice. I had now idea which way to turn… ❤
I love it when Eddie says “Let’s wrap this up” because I know there’s another (great) twenty minutes to watch.

Tizzy time!
Indeed ! What a joy to see so much of Tizzy early in the episode ! That is one FAB feline !

Haddonfield High School? Like New Jersey's 🍅, Haddonfield??. I was just 🚲 there today!
Noir City Detroit was fun as usual. Those old seats kick my ass, but it's worth it.
23:00 John Russell is correct!
Canon City has a dvd release, from RoDon enterprise (2004) not the best but decent
