Starmer didn't have to waste the remaining five questions arguing about Johnsons honours list but I do give a shit about that honours list. It's another slap in the face and it's another example of yet more self serving cronyism. Its particularly offensive that a young woman, who was essentially a temp for an incredibly brief period in the most chaotic and corrupt Government, has now been elevated to a prestigious position for life without ever having earned it, its infuriating.

In other workplaces too, it happens all the time, even away from bars and booze. Sorry Ed, It’s not unique, abusers will use any power over ppl in any situations they can.
Also to be fair guys, reacting as tho dickpics are taboo/a joke, when your coworker is getting unsolicited explicit photos sent to her personal phone daily it seems, really underplayed this intrusive harassment. Esp going straight into Ava saying her recollection of being assaulted already had other men in the comments calling her a ‘liar’ ‘attention seeker’ etc. You must be supportive of her even if she’s dealing w it so well bc she’s taking that intrusion from men, where you don’t have to, for doing the same job.

Its one thing to argue "there are bigger issues" and quite another to justify any peerage awarded by Johnson. His tenure was a slew of sleaze and corruption, and his last honours list laid that bare. Not really surprised by Ava, a little by Oli though

What Ava said that our culture and public mindset needs to change. Why is it that many think a person or victim is more likely to lie about being SA than a person is to lie about not doing it. If anyone is more likely to lie or has a better incentive to lie it is the person accused of a moral and legal crime. Likewise given they probably did SA someone, they would lie. Yet we give them the benefit of the doubt and the whole 'innocent before guilty' instead of supporting victims and survivors who have no reason and no gain to lie or speak out.

Came from listening to the podcast on another platform to say I also have weird views on the Lords!!
In a sentence: Put a ceiling on the numbers and it’ll work.
Then it’ll give you a long term rolling average of the interests of the executive over time, small c conservative bloc, chesterton’s fencing everything. Would make just a lovely organic check and balance on democracy.
Otherwise I vote as left as I can.

I thought the idea of Ed being Alastair Campbell's love child was a weird one, surely that would be an easy way to condemn a ginger !! I think it's more likely he is Peter Murrell's love child and the high end camper van was for an attempt at mending fences......
