Fantastic video! I want to go! Have never been there. In print since the early 1940s, there's a classic Mexican book called "Antologia de la Picardia Mexicana". You can find it in any libreria. It's a collection of raucus and often ribald Mexican street humor. When your Spanish reaches a certain level of comprehension, it's hilarious to read this book! In fact, it can IMPROVE your Spanish and help you connect with locals. One example: a beat-up old truck with a warning sign on the tailgate: "Frenos de atole". Another sign on a beat-up truck: "Ay, mamacita que curvas y yo sin frenos". There's a brief, dirty joke in this book, almost certainly from the 1940s or 1950s, but timeless. I am not going to give it away, but it's about the name of the town, Tapachula. :-)
Check out La Ruta del Cafe in Soconusco! One of the most beautiful places in the region! It’s German constructions coming out of the Chiapas jungle and mountains! So beautiful and the best coffee with the most beautiful sights!! They just had their Oktoberfest celebrations? The Edelman Restaurant is so good! Mix of German and Chiapaneco Gastronomies!

¡Hola! You can visit Santo Domingo, it is near from Unión Juarez, there is a beautiful house from 1929. And you can visit Mayan ruins too, named Izapa! They are in Tuxtla Chico, in the same area.

You're right! Tapachula isn't very known (i'm from tapachula) but if you come to chiapas and you go with the flow i can guarantee you will find yourself discovering amazing new places
