Yeah, everyone had sky in the 80s. :/ Its 2020, ive never had sky, ive refused out of principle, cant stand the company. Dont stop me free streaming or free downloading their crap tho.
There was barely a channel 5 back then or if there was it was really new. Sky was for well off people back then. There are still people who can't afford it now. Telly was alot better back then though. It's rubbish now.
Even today with hundreds of channels on sky barely anything worth watching unless it's old stuff which is what I looks for, I wouldn't have sky someone else in the house pays for it as they want it. When there were less channels the quality of TV was much better. I remember there being only 3 channels then channel 4 started around 1984 if it wasn't 83, then around 1993 along came channel 5 very bad picture to begin with. There was cable TV starting up but it didn't have many subscribers. The nation was entertained with first 2 channels, then 3, then 4 and it was the best years of television, talented presenters, talented actors, great scripts. Can't beat it.
I love the look of realisation and horror on Eileen's face @ 6:33 when she says "Oh, it ain't Beadle?" Some people think these were staged, but unless she was a brilliant actress this is clearly genuine. This was one of the best.
Knowing how television works, especially back then, I'd say it's reasonable to assume some of the pranks were staged. But who's to say that some weren't real? I agree if this was staged then she's a hell of an actress. I would like to think this one is real for sure.
I loved this show back in the day, along with many, many others (Only Fools, Two Ronnies, One foot in the grave, Keeping up appearances... the list goes on). The TV now is absolute crap. I only ever watch RUclips these days.
Brilliant- bring the programme back- this is what tv needs- good entertainment and a laugh? Make me feel not so bad about paying an extortionate TV licence!!!
This kind of show drew the viewers in by the millions so why hasn't it been brought back? Poor Jeremy isn't with us any longer but there must be someone that can do a half decent job as a replacement. The 70's were fantastic years for TV and compared to the rubbish today it is a decade never to be forgotten for sheer entertainment. Bring this show back and make TV brilliant again.
Hahaha....brilliant . British comedy at its best. Miss those shows. I was petrified that she would have a stroke or heart attack right there. Shows thestrong suff they were made if back then. Brilliant.
The politically correct police would have a field day with every episode. That's one of the reasons why I don't watch TV any more! I agree, they were great fun.
I love how she keeps it more or less together until the man from the council asks her why she's changed her locks, and then she really loses it and the language starts 😂
When the telly was worth watching and the country was worth fighting for. RIP Great Britain. My ancestors fought for you but future generations sold you to the highest bidder
I actually remember this one. Is your wife still in touch with Eileen? I appreciate a lot can happen in the years since this aired. Hope you are all well.
"Oh, it ain't Beadle". Back in the 90s that was something that most people understood. People just don't put up with stupid 4rsed council workers and idiots doing crazy things. People are wise to it now.
Why did she not walk into her house and call the police. Im genuinely epileptic. Stress can and has caused me to have seizures. If i was in that situation I'd fake a seizure to freak out the actors abd get a litte revenge
Old school couple, a generation lost and TV shows like these. R.I.P.
RIP Jeremy Beadle. Classic tv. These were ahead of the’re time.
their
There their they're
When television was worth a damn. We used to look forward to these shows.
It was all fake reality mate, everyone was "in on it" including the victim.
nobody looked forward to these shows......that's why they died,,,,,,we just cringed
Me and my late mum loved watching this back in the day.
Awww nice!..
In the days when we had only four TV channels and no internet, British TV was worth watching. Not so today.
Are you for real???
This wasnt the dark ages. Everyone had sky back then
Yeah, everyone had sky in the 80s. :/ Its 2020, ive never had sky, ive refused out of principle, cant stand the company. Dont stop me free streaming or free downloading their crap tho.

@@robertomoi2044 Sky was in it's infancy back in 1991, there was only around a half dozen channels and it was shit
Even today with hundreds of channels on sky barely anything worth watching unless it's old stuff which is what I looks for, I wouldn't have sky someone else in the house pays for it as they want it.

I just love how people were back then. Brilliant
yeah people had a sence of humour,! ;-)
Before health and safety went full Nazi
@@ianmangham4570 it’s health and safety gone mad
I love when Jeremy took his disguise off yet looked just the same.LOL LOL
and nobody saw through it? come-on.....it was all an act.
I loved this show back in the day, along with many, many others (Only Fools, Two Ronnies, One foot in the grave, Keeping up appearances... the list goes on). The TV now is absolute crap. I only ever watch RUclips these days.
Me too mate. I haven't watched TV for years now.
Very true
i never look at tv anymore.... English TV was the best in the good old days :)
I love the way they couldn't get her really wound up, then that guy asked why she changed the locks and she went mad lol
The days of LWT were the best ever. Saturday tv will never be the same again. Used to love beadles about as a kid hahahaa amazing 🤣🤣
Brilliant- bring the programme back- this is what tv needs- good entertainment and a laugh? Make me feel not so bad about paying an extortionate TV licence!!!
I miss my old England ✌️🏴😔
Couldn't do this now! Because of PC bollocks. What a shame.
This is classic. Have you changed your locks 😂😂
Back when kids could ride along the pavement in and amongst strangers. Just so Mum could have 5 mins!!!!
This kind of show drew the viewers in by the millions so why hasn't it been brought back?
Poor Jeremy isn't with us any longer but there must be someone that can do a half decent job as a replacement.

Bring this show back and make TV brilliant again.
It was the 80s and 90s not the 70s lol - All this kind of stuff is on youtube these days
That was brilliant. I bet it took a few days to get over that one!
It was my favourite program back then.
AWESOME, the gud ole days
Hahaha....brilliant . British comedy at its best. Miss those shows. I was petrified that she would have a stroke or heart attack right there. Shows thestrong suff they were made if back then. Brilliant.
Takes me right back to simpler times when I’d look forward to this each week.
Brilliant show this was! :)
Where were you this morning ! That’s my f.... business not yours , a classic
Whenever something weird happened, you could be sure Beadle had a small hand in it.
"Ooh, it ain't Beadle is it?" LOL!
😂❤️
Love it, reminds me of my nan, good times back then.
Itv 3 needs to repeat beadles about great Saturday night tv
The politically correct police would have a field day with every episode.
That's one of the reasons why I don't watch TV any more!
I agree, they were great fun.
Why bring race in to this.#thatsracial
P.C. will not allow it
It won’t happen, unfortunately.
Granada Plus used to repeat it some 20 years ago.
Fantastic.. that lady is cool and quite reserved!
80s t.v on saturdays was typically the best 321 go
That used to give me a headache trying to figure out what Ted Rogers was on about in those so called clues. Don't think he knew himself
Can't believe this was nearly 30 year ago wtf
Ftw
Jeremy rest in peace Loved this show
3:07 the Prediction of the Bedroom Tax
She looks a bit like Mick Hucknall, I wish someone would bring a show like this back, I loved every single episode.
That's a bit harsh on Mick
James Fisher she doesn’t look anything like Mick Hucknall
More like Leo Sayer!
I'm going with Jon Pertwee...
Kevin Keegan
I was ten years old when this was shown lol.
Fish fingers. Captain birds eyes too. Jezza on telly. What a night.
It's a shame they don't do these type of things anymore
Health and safety wouldn't let them get away with it these days!
She was a great sport.
Ah Cromer, remember holidaying there as a kid.
to think that woman is in her 90s now.
I love how she keeps it more or less together until the man from the council asks her why she's changed her locks, and then she really loses it and the language starts 😂
I love the fact that you can get a council house and afford to have a static caravan on a holiday park🤔
Council houses has nothing to do with it. Many people back then lived in council houses
she is so funny - especially when saying Beadle "your in disquise"
What a wonderful life you must of lived.
Great TV. Should make a new version.
Wouldnt work nowadays someone would end up getting killed
Thank you, I've played this video a few times because it helps me deal with issues, like my dead sister dying. Anyway, always tell the truth
Beagle was one of the best
When the telly was worth watching and the country was worth fighting for. RIP Great Britain. My ancestors fought for you but future generations sold you to the highest bidder
Fantastic!
Thank you!
the woman will give herself a heart attack if she don't calm down
She was well aware and paid to act by the TV production company mate.
Proof?
Poor old Beadle. RIP!
Her name is E Bola
Love this although I’ll be suffering from tinnitus for the next few hours now
Fantastic upload!!
What if she got a heart attack? No more Beadle's About, that's for sure.
I forgot how elaborate the pranks were!
Alien landing in back yard was the best one, especially when she offered it a cup of tea!
I am reminded of a sketch in Big Train.
Not complaining of course, but just funny that it looked great on a 1980s CRT but we’re watching in in 8fps
OMG, I was young then, working for peanuts lmao, the more things change the more they stay the same smmfh lmmfao
I actually remember this one. Is your wife still in touch with Eileen? I appreciate a lot can happen in the years since this aired. Hope you are all well.
fu****g brilliant old gal
Great woman, she held her ground 👍💪
God I miss those days
I remember those polyester jumpers, everyone had one.

That's my nan and that's what she like all off time u was so funny. Rip Ellen. Xxxxxxx
When did she pass?
You’re in disguise 😂
Good show it's a wonder it didn't make people havea bloody heart attack mithering
6:03 beadle wearing a disguise
Great Britain was great then
Is that Shaun Wallace (Barry from Eastenders)
I think Shaun Wallace would of been younger.
1991 my year of birth
Shame they dubbed the laughter in so loud. Can hardly hear what's being said 🙄
"Oh, it ain't Beadle". Back in the 90s that was something that most people understood. People just don't put up with stupid 4rsed council workers and idiots doing crazy things. People are wise to it now.
the workman is the fella off eastenders..barry i think
Shaun Williamson I think his name is
He hosted 24 Hour Quiz in 2004, not convinced that is him in this video.
nope
Sure it is
The work man isn't Barry from EastEnders but if you've seen Mind the baby Mr Bean the same actor is in that and he plays the arcade attendet
We miss this kind of TV todays pc shite is dreadful
I like Jeremy beadle
the look on their faces is fuck this guy made us look a tool
I wonder if she is still alive today
ENJOY THIS WONDERFUL COMEDY WHILE YOU CAN--BECAUSE ALL HUMOR WILL BE BANNED-AND YOU WILL BE FINED FOR "WATCHING--I'M NOT KIDDING-!!
Why did she not walk into her house and call the police. Im genuinely epileptic. Stress can and has caused me to have seizures. If i was in that situation I'd fake a seizure to freak out the actors abd get a litte revenge
Funny 😆
That would not amuse me..
2:44
Eww that kiss gross
Fake they all knew they were being set up
Makes you wonder
Classic xx
Pretty shit now but watching this as a kid in the 80s was comedy gold
