Great video. I got one of these lights about 5 year’s ago. It even had solar panels on the bottom white part so you could charge it with a/c or solar. It worked for a couple of years until the battery would no longer hold a charge. By the way, I think your dog found his spot at 6:19 - laughed my donkey off!
If its LED they really went cheap on the battery if it only lasts 3 to 4 hours. I bought a 4 pack of LED lanterns on Amazon that use 3 AA batteries and they last for 40 hours. Not rechargeable but I'd rather change batteries than only have 3 hours of light and then screwed if the power is still out.
I think these are more for those times when an unplanned power outage that only lasts a few minutes occurs. For example, not that it's summer, power outages that only takes a minute or two might be more frequent, as a result of a lot of people using AC and the like. This basically ensures you still have light, if, for example you're in the bathroom shaving and the power goes out for a minute. I wouldn't say these are any good for long term power outages, like you'd get in the case of storms, floods, or other major events. Then, you'd be best off with a lantern.

I'm off grid. That looks perfect for what I need.
Does it die after 3 hours of it not in use or only if it’s in use? If it doesn’t die, and holds charge you can have multiple of them and just switch them out every 3 hours. That would’ve been so helpful during the Texas winter storm with all of our rolling outages.
Love your reviews! And you do such a great job on showing the good and bad of all products! Thank you!! I am wondering and going you will do a review of the Hot Logic Mini?? Please.. with sugar on top?? I would love to see that one as I want to get one... after I hear your thoughts first. 😉🙏
Hoping.... you will do... stupid phone! Lol!
@Freakin' Reviews, what ever happened to your blender comparison video (the one with the Oster blender that leaked)?
Was it taken down?
Where will I buy that emergency light bulb,,I'm here in the Philippines.tnx
How long did you charge it for before testing it? It should have stayed on if it had been charged properly because remember you can walk around with it. The bulbs I bought you can get different lumination 1- is 60 & the other is 80.
Review the Tertil it’s a robotic weed roomba for gardens, and then review a Litter-Robot 3!
Is there any way to turn the bulb off when it's screwed in to the socket and the power is out?
Woohoo! You are coming back to Puerto Rico!!! I don't care if it takes you 5 years to come again. 😂
My husband and I will love to hang out with you!
If I put it in a Alexa switch will it thik power is off?
Familiarizing myself with my equipment…..grr2t …cannot find the cap for the bottom of my lights. It’s hard being old.
Yay! Happy sunday all! Love the videos!
i never heard of these lights seems like they would be handy at least if the power goes out you will always know where a flash light is. my power goes out maybe two or three times a year so the and it comes back on usually within two hours.....unless someone drove there car into a pole then it might take 4 hours so the time till it goes dead maybe ok. i have to look into one or two of these
Might as well use a rechargeable LED flashlight (or LED lantern). Pretty much the same thing (except maybe the price).
Have you ever done or will consider doing a video for weird or cool office accessories?
Congrats on 600k!

Oh you finally answer!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!
I have a regular LED lightbulb and after hours and hours of usage, the plastic is comfortably warm, but the metal housing under it is sometimes so hot I can barely touch it.
And your point is?
@@donteven5712 he didn't touch the metal housing, just the plastic part on the top. That's my point
