Buy a mini fan from the Dollar Tree for a dollar, and then buy an eight pack of double a batteries that you can put in it. Why waste all of your phone life on a tiny fan that really won't do anything!?

The smallest food hugger is the perfect size for one of those tiny cans of tomato paste. 'Cuz recipes always want 1 Tbs, but the can has 6 oz. (That's how I discovered these several years ago - I was looking for can covers.)

@@franktrinidad142 lighting the wall will reflect onto the floor. The idea of this light is to give some light to see by when the lights or power is out. When the power goes out here I aim my flash light at the celling so it lights the hole room enough to see to get around.
I bought a small battery-powered fan that I can wear like a necklace, and it creates an updraft. It’s lovely, and runs on AA batteries, and the batteries last a decent length of time.
Instead of using the up-down light as an up-down light, how about using it as a left-right light instead? Just change the orientation when you mount it and I think it may produce much more usable range of lighting.

Fish the cheap garbage stuff like those little fans are not manufactured up to any standards, and probably very little quality control, thus potentially leading to short circuit, not physically damaging the port but potentially causing damage on the phones electronics. Some phones may have safeguards against that put even those phone rated to charging other items probably don’t have adequate protecting against a full short circuit. They’re probably relying on the small gauge of wire and poor solders in cheap chinesium stuff to burn/melt off before internal damage occurs to the phone.
My favorite product you reviewed this time was the "Bailey Family Pooch" product. She seems good, very reliable, friendly and lasts a long time definitely the best investment out of this group i'd say lol, good video overall :)

I can think of a few scenarios it'd be useful to have one of those updown light thingies. ie lighting a banister/handrails (up) & stairs (down), that sorta thing.
I was just thinking. The up down light might be good mounted on the side of a bunk bed. Then both too and bottom can decide if they want it lit up for reading or whatever

The fan turns off because iOS has a security feature that disables the lightning port when not unlocked to prevent hackers from getting into your phone (and the fbi for that matter)
Don't worry, if you're in China/are Chinese Apple has to hand over any information they have on you to your government by law or they will lose their access to the market. Apple will also block RUclips, Twitter, Facebook, and any other app banned in China to keep you safe.

The UpDown Light might be good in a closet or attic for extra lighting purposes. My smaller closets don't have lights in them (obviously too small), but the mounting option for this and the motion detector makes this a perfect size and option for a closet for me. I am pleasantly surprised by this one.

Also, thinking it would be great to keep it on a nightstand after reading incase the power goes out. A lamp is just too bright plus, having to get up to turn it off wakes me up fully. A doctor told me to try reading a book an hour before bed will help me fall asleep quicker. I don't like using phones/tablets to read books on they say the lighting in electronics will mess with your sleep esp. those who already have sleep issues such as insomnia.
Food Huggers YES. Very useful to me so gonna buy some. -keep cats out of nightstand water glass -flexible and air tight enough to use as a lid for my bread dough biga or starters. -looks like I could use it to top a normal coffee mug to prevent spills in the car

A lil warning about those mini phone fan things, I've been told that they have a nasty habit of killing phones (i dont mean the battery but the phone itself) not sure if in the last two years or so that has been fixed or not but when its so inefficient I don't really think it'd be worth the risk or the battery drain
I've had that neck light for a couple months. I like that little pad in the back so that it doesn't stick to your neck. You can also charge it while using it, though you will feel a small amount of heat on you neck. I actually use it when I crochet in bed.

The fan turning off and on might not be a fan issue, it could just be the phone recognizing that a usb has been inserted, which means it'll try to install drivers for the fan to work properly. This happens also for pc if you insert one as it doesn't recognize it. It'll install drivers, which will make whatever it is (mouse and so on) turn off and on until the installing is complete. So that could be why it turned off/on and suddenly stopped doing it.
The 1st fan was given away at the Wisconsin State Fair in 2014 by cell phone companies & drains the device very quickly! It had a Apple & mini USB plug adapter & didn't work on all devices.

Food huggers are popular in our house. No wasteful plastic wrap! We got ours off of the Kickstarter campaign. You do want the put the food in and have the edge facing the interior part for a good seal.
That neck light is great for more than reading. Mine is a different brand but I got it from Amazon. Mine was $14. I got it over a year ago. I use it every day and it still works great. I mainly use it for seeing better in my adult coloring and also when I paint. I am unable to use it as a book light bc using only one side on the dimmist setting, it still lights up the whole bedroom. I am up way later than hubby and I have several hard copy books I have yet to read. Mine holds a charge on high for well over 3 hours. I honestly haven't timed it but it certainly isn't more than 8. However, I cannot say enough how great this light is.
Dang, I totally want that neck light! That up down light might be good for when I want to be on my little apartment patio in the evenings and sip some hot tea or wine or something. I have a lantern I can use for now, but if that would give better light and I could just leave it outside except when it's raining, that would be pretty nice. I can go to Emigh hardware and ask about adding mounts on the back that I could slide on to push pins, and then I can place it and remove it as needed. I know you said it's for indoor-only, but if I'm using it only when I'm outside and always bring it in, it shouldn't be an issue since I wouldn't be outside if it's raining.
If I saw a bunch of half consumed fruits wrapped in silicone covers, for sure I'm running out of that person's house 😂

I would put the light so it shines left and right not up and down so it covers more floor and longer distance

Up down light seems useful if you're digging around in a closet and need the light facing up
It also seems like it could be useful if turned sideways to illuminate the entire run of a hallway.
The updown lights are great for dark bathrooms and hallways that don't have any or a lot of outlets.

As long as it doesn't malfunction, your port will be fine. The real problem is it will drain your battery.

The usb fan, drains the battery too fast for the battery BMS to handle, so it usually ends up in a blown capacitor

Those phone fans are known to be poorly made and damaging to batteries and charge ports

I’m not sure if the seal would be strong enough to contain the pressure created as the CO2 comes out of the liquid, and if it does, whether releasing it would cause it to spray out

Food huggers are popular in our house. No wasteful plastic wrap! We got ours off of the Kickstarter campaign. You do want the put the food in and have the edge facing the interior part for a good seal.

That neck light is great for more than reading. Mine is a different brand but I got it from Amazon. Mine was $14. I got it over a year ago. I use it every day and it still works great.
I mainly use it for seeing better in my adult coloring and also when I paint. I am unable to use it as a book light bc using only one side on the dimmist setting, it still lights up the whole bedroom. I am up way later than hubby and I have several hard copy books I have yet to read. Mine holds a charge on high for well over 3 hours. I honestly haven't timed it but it certainly isn't more than 8. However, I cannot say enough how great this light is.

That up down light might be good for when I want to be on my little apartment patio in the evenings and sip some hot tea or wine or something. I have a lantern I can use for now, but if that would give better light and I could just leave it outside except when it's raining, that would be pretty nice. I can go to Emigh hardware and ask about adding mounts on the back that I could slide on to push pins, and then I can place it and remove it as needed. I know you said it's for indoor-only, but if I'm using it only when I'm outside and always bring it in, it shouldn't be an issue since I wouldn't be outside if it's raining.
